I love these types of videos - like we get invited to share a little piece of your life. Interesting tour - thank you. Have to confess, I don't like the loft bed.
Helena Hayes me too so when I lived in japan even though it’s pricey, my roomate and I got a two bedroom small apartment where we could fit queen and double bed in our rooms respectively
good evening! uh so I want to know if you find this apartment on web, can you share me the link? I saw this room on a web some time ago but I wasn't really sure and I kinda liked this room. as we both gaijins in Japan, pleasee~? >< thankyou in advance!
Notice a lot of other English speaking people live in Leo Palace. Do you ever get together with them or work with them? It would seem a lot more like home if you did. Just wondering.
+Mark11340 It would be cool if we could all hang out like that! However, Leopalace is a real estate company that owns a lot of apartment complexes around Japan. So while a lot of us (English-speaking people) live at Leopalace apartments, we're kind of scattered all around.
I just moved into a very similar apartment and cannot figure out how to open the mailbox (the box part that requires a code...) do you remember how to do it?
Hello, the mailboxes at my apartment don't have a code :/ I'm sorry I couldn't help. I hope you can figure it out. The mailboxes at my place look like this: facebook.com/l8nightsnack/photos/a.1046241268733024.1073741829.990277427662742/1341919339165214/?type=3
Hello! The initial costs were high. I don't have my contract on hand so I can't give exact numbers at the moment. But I believe the cost was between 2,000-2,500 USD. That price included April's rent (prorated) and May's rent (full month). I think the total that came out for rent was maybe 800 USD. The rest of the cost was for key money, cleaning fees, deposit, apartment insurance (for disasters and such). It really seemed like an endless list of fees. If you're moving to Japan don't be afraid to try places other than Leopalace. It may be harder if you're not Japanese but it also may be worth the trouble!
Hello! This is a LeoPalace apartment that my company helped me find. This apartment is in Higashimatsuyama in Saitama. But this layout is all around. Gaijinpot is a great resource! For example: Kawaguchi: apartments.gaijinpot.com/en/rent/view/434621 Soka-shi: apartments.gaijinpot.com/en/rent/view/382555
Nice apartment :) which City are you in? I will go to Japan with leopalace this summer and i still dont know what Kind of apartment i want to have :D I will live in nagoya, at least that is Set already :D
oh god this i so weird, I live in the same type of apartment, brings back a lot of memories. But this is not 1LDK this is a 1K. You would need one more room for it to be 1LDK
+Kate Mackenzie Oh yeah lol! It seemed really small at first but I've gotten used to it. Still having guests over makes the place feel crowded very fast!
It's a great book!! I'm just about to finish it. The same authors that worked on the hiragana/katakana book made a beginners kanji book and I can't wait to check it out!
+The Late Night Snack I didn't see it in the video, could you maybe tell me what it's called and the authors' names? I'm just starting out learning hiragana and I'd love to check it out. :)
Check out this video. ua-cam.com/video/DN5LmIDwCWo/v-deo.html there are tips for studying Japanese! As Tomasz said, it's the custom here. There are lots of places where you have to take your shoes off. Some traditional Japanese restaurants, fitting rooms, doctors offices, schools...
WhenMakiPlays Hello! I pay 56,200 Yen (around 455 USD), that price includes internet. I have two monthly bills (gas and electric). I've only gotten two sets of bills so far. However, they've been around 2,500 Yen (around 21 USD)to 3500 Yen (29 USD) each.
Water may or may not be included in your rent. It varies. For more info check out our other video about our bills. ua-cam.com/video/aCW3Oh8oTlc/v-deo.html

Seen this type of apartment before. Really like the layout. Especially the closet/storage under the bed (behind the door).
Very nice apartment for one person.
yang kate Yes, its definitely a great size for one person.
how much does it cost per month? I will move to Tokyo next month, my company arranges an apartment for me. your place is very nice.
Oh man, I lived in an apartment that was the exact same design as this one!
fill your freezer with water containers, empty freezer costs more to run....so save those milk/juice bottles etc
Thanks for the tip!
what a lovely view 😁. Decent sized apartment too!

This area seems very familiar while I was stationed in Japan. Is this perhaps in the southern area of Yamaguchi? Close to Iwakuni maybe?
Where you at? I'm going to be in Kyoto for JET in Aug. Looks like you got a great new looking and spacious apartment!!
x
I'm in Saitama prefecture! I work for Borderlink.
I must ask. I'm really curious what's behind the door under your bed?
Haha! It's the closet!
Me too
I think it's a closet for clothes.
