Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion about the oxygen needs of plants. Plants combine Carbon Dioxide, water and sunlight in a process called photosynthesis. This process allows plants to create sugars and as a byproduct of photosynthesis plants release oxygen. During the day a plant produces all the oxygen that is needed by the plant. The roots which are typically underground are not capable of photosynthesis and require oxygen to perform their functions. At night when photosynthesis is not occurring and oxygen is not being produced by the plant, plant root cells may become deficient in oxygen and die particularly when the roots are in standing water that has low levels of dissolved oxygen. These root cells basically "drown". This is why gardeners add perlite to the soil, so that the soil will be well draining allowing air(oxygen) to get to the roots. In hydroponics and aquaponics increasing the dissolved oxygen in the water keeps the roots from drowning despite being submerged in water 24/7. High levels of dissolved oxygen don't just keep the roots from drowning, it allows them to function at maximum capacity significantly increasing the potential growth rate of the plant assuming all other needs of the plant are ideal. Also many plant pathogens are anaerobic meaning that they do best in environments without oxygen or very low levels of oxygen. By increasing the dissolved oxygen you create an environment that is either very hostile or fatal to a host of plant pathogens.

Hi there great work with the channel. Could you tell me what magnet I need to try this out please.
If you want to see if I’m just BSing, try the food coloring test. Or the laser backscatter test. True nano bubbles can be seen by shining a laser through the water. It only works after you let all micro bubbles dissipate, leaving only true nano bubbles. With the food color test, you put two glasses of water, one with bubbles and one without, amd drop one drop of food coloring in each. The one with actual nano bubbles with dissipate the dye throughout the water quickly, while non bubble water will have a small plume that doesn’t spread out as much.

The thing I don't understand, is why existing the bucket with the hose, with uniseals and fittings how does that pressurize the water? Also does direct contact to the magnet affect any better, than threw the bucket? I take it you have also seen the carbon ceramic nozzle creating nanobubbles, yet no such nozzle for ssle. Time to read up on ferrous magnetic and nanobubbles!
I need to build one but not for my hydroponics setup. It’s a miracle for skin issues.

@@togetherwegrow8340 that’s so awesome! This technology is used in dog grooming (high end) with dissolved CO2 tablets. Basically it cleans out pores and can resolve even the most stubborn and difficult skin conditions. I’m disabled and want to have it to make things easier for me. I’m stuck between doing a DIY or buying a micro bubble generating machine from China. I did find one machine that doesn’t use any electricity but I’ve no idea how to build one, they’re like $4k and that’s not in the budget.

I just found your site and this video is very packed with a lot of science. I am really impressed! I've been working with a fellow professor on some hydroponic tests lately and I've introduced the use of bubbling browns gas (separated water molecules - 33% oxygen, 66% hydrogen gas) on our plants. I am going to build this bucket system that you have and use BG, instead of atmospheric air, for the water pump. If you can get a hold of a BG generator, or even a hydrogen generator, I think that you will find that you can increase your yield by x2 or more. We should communicate/talk some time. Your bucket system is what I've been looking for for months because it much simpler and less inexpensive than the other Asian nanobubble systems. @@togetherwegrow8340 I have a big question for you on building one of these venturri nanobubblers. Where can I get those black 90 degree nozzles that you have on your video here? Do you have a link or a website or amazon title that I can look up. My local hardware store doesn't have them and I can't find a correct key word search for them. If I can find them, I'll build this system within a week. A couple of other things about myself: I raised tilapia several years back in Utah for a few years. I had property with a geothermal water well and used greenhouses so everything kept nice and war in the winter. (Mossambique and Hornorum strains of fish) I learned from a guy in Florida how to breed them, raise them and harvest them. He was also dabbling into high oxygen systems as well. On another related note, I also built a couple of browns gas generators last year. That is what makes your channel so interesting to me. You have about 3 topic areas that I have worked with exclusively. (Oh yeah, and you don't curse...way cool man!) Anyway, any help on the nozzles would be greatly appreciated.

Many known cancer treatment methods rely on oxygen and/or ozone cancer treatment by gas and by liquid have demonstrated varying degree of successes. A new innovative approach is being applied relying on nano bubble water with high oxygenated level up to 15 to 20 ppm. Normal dissolved oxygen in water seldom exceed 10 ppm. Dissolved oxygen exceeding 10 ppm is in the form activated oxygen (inside nano bubbles) which has ORP value of +2.5V. Nano bubbles can penetrate all types of human membrane and provide oxygen into cancer cells which will cause cell death while healthy cells will prosper. These nano bubble will contain beneficial levels of dissolved nano nitric oxide which will enlarge bood vessels serrounding the cancer cell clusters which speed up the cure. In combination with fasting (no food intake except water) for 14 days, the human body will conduct self detoxification processes and expell toxins out through urine and excretion. Excretion will stop after 2 to 3 days of fasting. These samples analysis yielded various environmental, growth hormones, pesticides and antibiotics residues.

@@togetherwegrow8340 Thanks, nano bubbles are great for plants but it is also good for us to drink, I was reading that most diseases are caused by poor oxygen metabolism and oxygen malabsorption, drinking it may promote health and save lives, I just found this one:

It is concluded that drinking ONB water has potential to inhibit tumor growth, however more preclinical and proof-of-concept studies are needed to confirm its safety and therapeutic effect.
I need it quickly, I'm also looking into oxy nanobubbles with ozone, because ozone dissolved in water helps re-optimize oxygen metabolism even more.
Im tracking the smaller diameter bubbles but I dont follow the 15% to 85% delta in composition you mentioned. You're pulling ambient air and depositing it in solution. The composition of the bubbles would remain the same, the diameter would change. Unless you're claiming the magnet is somehow separating the ambient air into its constituent parts somehow. What science are you referring to that describes this effect? References that I could read up on?

Oxygen is paramagnetic, meaning it reacts to magnetism. UV/ photons/ light enable the transfer and generation of magnetism. This is why the best effect with nano bubbles is achieved during the daylight (as we suggested above). The UV from the sun helps enable a photon protection mechanism, meaning more ROS tolerance=more growth and development.
The magnetism also increases PAR (photon absorption rate) = more photons (light) can be absorbed and converted into photosynthesis. This= more nutrient sense for, tastier, crisper, and bigger.
What are you using to keep a good seal around the hoses in the bucket?

One of my biggest problems is finding good components to work with. Either they’re really cheap junk ($5) or fairly expensive ($90+). What’s your recommendation on pumps that work for you, and would you consider putting a sponsor/affiliate link?
Hi Hunam that's a great question. I truly don't have a preference for a brand and I try and get as much bang for the buck as I can. I'm like you as well, I try and find a middle priced pump and I rely highly on reviews.
This video is AMAZING !!! At first, I was sceptical about the magnet because I thought there's no way oxygen is attracted by a magnet. But actually, it is. The "level" af attractivness is low (paramagnetism) so if I'm understading it right, the attractivness and size of the magnet matters. Did you try different magnets? Also, O2 in waters tends to increase the pH, was it different (better or worse) with this system? Thank you for making this video, I believe it's a game changer !!

1. I believe it concentrates the force of the compressed oxygen molecules against a grounding Magnetic source . You'll know which side points "up". From polar pull and the best secret. It comes with glue attached but a touch of "instaglue" works.

I have the current USA dc water pump the big 3170gph and always been scared to run a venturi threw the impeller. Read could break the blades.
Hi Tom. If possible use a much smaller pump to separately run the venturi effect with. It doesn't take a lot of power my friend.

first off, i must say that i am amazed by the system that you've developed given that you are farming in the desert..your method of growing is smart, closer to nature's process and with lesser effort than those that i've seen..that is real impressive man! hats off to you.. 👏👏👏👏
with that said..your technique in producing nanobubbles is by far the least expensive that i've seen and as far as i can tell is working great..i am extremely interested in the application of this technique to your ibc and your method of breeding the tilapias..
idk if you've created a video about this on your patreon, but if you can make a detailed video (or videos) on how you installed the nanobubbles system to your larger ibc and how you go about breeding your tilapias that will be extremely appreciated..

hey, i am on the quest for Nanobubbles as well (eg. i ordered a water tap from japan (not cheap), seems to work just need a laser now to proof) But back to your method are u sure these are nanobubbles? Nanobubbles (100-1000 nm) are invisible to the eye but you can see them with a Laser. If there are indeed nanobubbles, is there any paper on this method with magnets? (and if, does it matter what kind of magnet?) If you adressed any of this on your patron, let me know then i will check this out.

If there's a way to get the bubbles to pop, it would add more oxygen. It's all about Dissolved Oxygen. I was thinking that one of those foam fabric covers for airstones might help as it would cause the bubbles to pile up inside and burst?

Run with downward elbow with and without magnet. I’m thinking the elbow is helping to spread out the Venturi bubbles making them appear different than without the elbow.

Are you worried about PH? I grow cannabis in coco/perlite and stay at 5.8 at all times. When I cut clones I may go to 5.6 when rooting. I have a nutrient line that has what’s called “ph perfect” technology. It does keep me at 5.8 after adding nutrients. That is as long as I use RO water that is at 6.5-6.8.
There are many levels to this for me fam. I grow nutritional, mycelium level and medical. The truth is. If it works for your and society run with it.
@@togetherwegrow8340 is there a ph level to high or low for a rhizosphere? I use mammothP and recharge a both products are full of beneficial bacteria and microbes. Coco isn’t the best place for them but I have seen a better nutrient uptake.

Is the magnet really necessary ?? Maybe the tiny bubbles are formed by simply hitting the bottom of the bucket and has nothing to do with the magnet. Oxygen and water are paramagnetic but it would need a far more powerful magnet to have any effect on them than a ferrous magnet can provide.
The science is explained. The magnet is necessary.

@kevinb1594 hi Kevin, I hope you watch the follow up videos. You'll see many corrections were made, especially the term nano bubbles. It was corrected years ago.
Also, you won’t raise DO with any bubbles beyond natural maturation at 100% without concentrated oxygen.

Why do you use the magnet?
Hi abs pardon the delayed response. It creates a "grounding effect" to help disperse and breakdown the oxygen bubbles.
My friend to be able to see nanobubbles either you have to be a falcon or to use a laser everything else you can see is micro and macro size. Please bare in mind that in next video you use that laser and a seethrough buket. Micro and macro will be there for 30 min max.

I built a slightly simpler model of what you have here in this video and I tested the water with a laser before and after. You can see the beam in the water after running this system. I also use the laser to test my machine that makes colloidal silver with electrolysis. I would really like to see how much oxygen is in the water with a O2 meter. Very cool stuff, my brother!
You need an oxygen meter to see how efficient it is compared to control. Expensive though.
And that's why I don't need one :)

Active Aqua also make water pumps that injection air into it. I'd like to work with you on tweaking the bucket if that's okay.
Also using an ozone generator directly ported into the air intake may create a more concentrated oxygen than previously thought possible. I'm wondering how much h oxygen is too much🤔
Not true nanobubbles. You need an actual nanobubble generator or you must make micro bubbles. Nanobubbles are not visible to the naked eye.
