This is a great collection of SoCal 80s commercials in this volume. Sizzler, AMPM, Big Boy, you name it. A part of me misses super size fries from McDonald's if it weren't for Super Size Me. Elvira looked hot then, and she still looks hot now. That's just me :)
Big Boy was great! We had one in my town when I was very young. I think they closed down when I was only 7 or so, but I remember we ate there a lot. Fantastic burgers. It was one of my favorites as a kid.
@ 4:35 It's Marine Jahan the French dancer Jennifer Beals used as her dance double in the movie Flashdance...to this day people don't know she used a dance double in that movie.
The fast food commercials from the 80s/90s make me way more hungry! Even though they may have worked hard assembling a picture perfect example at least it was real food, now they just create some artificial representative.
Cal Worthington Ford, wasn't a commercial with someone on top of a biplane featured in the movie, Into the Night with Jeff Goldblum, John Landis, et. al
Satellite Dishes were the craze back in the day. If I remember correctly july of this year is when the HBOs and Showtimes channels started to scramble therefore it was no longer worth the cost unless you payed
Movie Macabre-Elvira back then..better than the Elvira of today IMO Sizzler-was that Orson Welles narrating? Burger King-R.I.P Lyle Alzado Black Sheep Squadron-used to love this show, waiting for the inevitable Hollywood reboot set in modern times with the pilots flying F-22s Pioneer Chicken-just couldnt beat KFCs..and OJ better keep out of the spotlight cause TMZ is shadowing his every move Mcdonalds-no more supersized fries thanks to Morgan Spurlock lol :(
Luv these vids, I can remember watching these commercials as a kid. Oh the 80s, I miss them
socal 80s ads are my favorites! love that ending with elvira though, lol and the freaking cal worthington ad!
Big Boy is still around and still just as good as ever. The tartar sauce they put on the burgers is the key.
That's some nice animation on the AMPM ad.

That looks like Adam Arkin in the Bob's Big Boy commercial.
"Go see cal" sounded like "Pussy Cow"
You weren't an '80s kid unless you knew the pussy cow song.
moo meow
I didn't know the 80s Transformers were in Universal studios!
Oh and 2010 spacewalk at universal In the 80s is awesome
8:43 EEK! A wild OJ appeared
Every dude in America has had a crush on Elvira at some point.
met her within the last few years and she is still a HARD would
Lyle Alzado exhibiting 'roid rage. 5:45
Oj? Thats why I live these
Baa Baa Black Sheep was a decent show for the 70s. For sure, my jam in 1st and 2nd grade.
Is that the actor that plays Abe Carver from Days of Our Lives at 9:44 on the video ?
Yep! That’s Abe!
Oh I remember that C&R clothiers commercial and of course worthington ford
Shadoe Stevens doing that Federated commercial.
Dan Saint I knew that was him! That voice is classic.
That Taco Bell pizza commercial...is that the guy from Jason Goes To Hell!?

Re: Sizzler...Not Orson Welles there
Wow, Taco Bell had pizza before they merged with Pizza Hut
??? Taco Bell and Pizza Hut have been owned by Pepsi since the late 70's
