The ashes as a plant lifter isn’t morbid at all. You just have the things you love helping each other out. Bonus you get to think of your beloved pet every time you water ❤
You are the one who inspired me to go to estate sales and thrift stores for pots, saucers, and stands, and I've found so much beautiful stuff in the last few months!
I love using cake plates with pedestals for different heights. Some of my plants are grouped by genus for easier care. Variety in an area looks really nice. I do enjoy thrifting too. Very fun 🌿✨💚
For me, different coloured planters make a planty home look busy. I stick to all white planters of different shapes, textures, and patterns so the spotlight is on the plant.
I love toppers also! Ive used leca, #4 perlite, apache tears (obsidian) bigger rocks, cinders and ant hill gravel (tends to sink into soil eventually unless you bottom water. I've used tiny bird figurines and abalone shell. I also have a doll hand buried in my ponytail palm. Can't help it. Silly makes me happy. You've inspired me to use the tall terracotta wine chiller things for single sanseveria plants. I also make false bottoms to elevate a trailing plant.
Ohhh Visual interest from textures and shapes and not colors, I needed to hear that! Me too! I will be moving within a year and have been thinking about what plants I want to take with me and how I want to style a home. These videos have been really great. I love these Plant and House Styling videos, Thank you!
Just a tip from an old wise soul here. I've moved over 20 times myself in my life. My tip is if at all you can move them all with you and then make up your mind after you've placed your furniture and stuff.......then look for the empty spaces around and try different plants in those spaces maybe for a day or two and make your mind up then. What's left........sell or donate to people.
The way you have your plants spread out looks really put together and neat! I have so many plants crowded around windows and I want to spread them out more but in the PNW I need to allow them to reach as much sunlight as they can lol
I agree with all of your tips! I think the most helpful thing I have done is make a point to only buy things I absolutely love, otherwise I'm just wasting money and collecting junk I'll need to get rid of later.
This was so so funny watching you keeping it in with the kids in the background probably doing monkey shines.....I loved it. You have changed your houseplants because you've outgrown the old you in what you liked years back. You are older and more mature and like the more scaled down look of plants and enjoy finding pots to actually go with the right plant and not just anything that will fit the plant. I like what you have done.....less is more and also less stressful on you with kids.
I agree with you on styling plants .I put plants in tall glass vases in water;l like seeing the roots. I have some terra cotta pots in wire baskets for a look. I have watched you a long time Harli and learned much
I agree that different plants bring different textures. I treat plants as an extension to my interior decor. So color, texture, and pots all come into play. I love that you’ve tapered down your collection to plants that speak to your style. I did the same, but then felt incomplete without trying to care for calatheas one last time. I tried once in my early plant journey, of 2018, and failed miserably. So naturally, last month, I bought an abundance of calatheas. 😅 I have the will to give it another go, now that I actually have some experience. 😂
I am all up for making space at the moment with being able to give space so I can appreciate plants better, nut I struggle getting rid plants really hard! everything has sentimental value and I can't get rid of!
I enjoy continuity with terracotta pots for houseplants. But Outside on my covered porch I use my glazed containers to hold in more moisture. Finding containers second hand gives such joy.
I love how you style your plants, pots and decorate your home with your plants. I can’t wait to do the same! ❤ btw love the dress you look amazing girly!
I agree that spreading plants out is better. There's less competition for the eye. I also have a euphorbia coral cactus, but the top of it is growing and changing shape in a weird way! I'd love to know how you've avoided that!
Loved all your tips ❤ I'm sitting at just over 100 plants at the moment and something that has really helped with my care routine is grouping plants with same/ similar lighting and watering needs together.
Very cool that you have developed your authentic space around you. I work on that as well in my home and in fashion. I am early in my plant collection with only two but enjoy learning from your journey 🪴
I agree. I like planting in different ways and use many different vessels beyond traditional planters. I really have like vessels and displays I’ve seen in your collection. Fabulous!👏🏽👍🏼
I’m still in my all green unruly phase 😅 but I will say I’ve started to want to have prettier pots and also you’re right I’ve started to mess with different types of plants to get that texture. Still do love my all types of green areas though maybe I won’t later on but I love the tips you gave! ❤
Loved this video! You gave me a lot of great ideas to make my collection look better. This is also random because you didn’t mention it in this video, but I would love to see a week of chicken chores video!
I find I do like color, preferring colors on the cool side of the spectrum. If I buy new planters, I tend to buy hand made ones from artisans (small businesses) on Etsy. I look for things that aren't easily attained in most retail situations. I think thrifting is another interesting option. Vintage is another way of getting unique items. Thanks for some great ideas.
love your tips. you can also break up a group of plants by different colour and tecture, even in the same type of plant. Like monstera deliciose and adinsonii are both monsteras but look very different, or hoiya compacta vs wayetii vs obovata, or a tall begonia maculata vs a stubby begonia rex with red leaves. I have cardboard cutouts of my standarts nursery pot sizes in my backpack at all times, so that if I see a cool thing I can test if it fits one of my planter sizes ;)
Love your videos Yes 👍🏻 I agree w ya And your outfit is super cute. Would you / could you make your planter that you sale w the flowers on it in an off white - ivory colour with drainage hole ?
I absolutely love the light fixture planter. I’m so pissed I got rid of that light now 😩 I learned I can not have those types of lights in my house because I’m a house of crazy boys and they always break them 😒. I had this broken lamp for years ( please don’t judge me) it was on the to do for land fill land. I finally got rid of it and Now I want the dang thing back ! I’m sure I will find another in my local Goodwill or maybe something even better 😉
I love the look of variety and shapes in my plants. Like you, I have Many plants. I also thrift, like you, for shapes and uncommon uses of items. I'm not a minimalist at all, in my 60s. The problem I have is the stones, which I Love. Every time I place them on top of a few certain plants, the soil starts stinking. What could cause this? I stopped doing this.
How many plants do you have many. I have a small place and no plant room. So everything is in my living room and kitchen on plant stands in front of the window. I wish I had a plant room. When my roommate might decide to move out and then I’ll have a plant room.
I love hanging and vining plants, but there's only so many places you can hang them. I'm not buying plants much more these days because I have so many already, but when I do, it's for plants that do not vine. I have nowhere to put them!
Thank you for this video! 🥹 I’m in the middle of a journey of really finding myself and what I like without outside influences!! Love watching your videos while doing plant and reptile chores ❤️❤️
😢I was trying to be 1st comment lol.lame. hey girly 😅have a blessed Sunday. Let me sit ,watch u and sip on my coffee. Perfect. Yesterday I went to home depot and snatched a alocacia stingray and a alocacia polly I 🤔 I think.it just says ....alocacia vigoro ??
I have been a sub for a while, I love your planty style then and now. Love the dress😉 Thrifting is so worth it for interesting vessels for our plant babies. I do have some from Walmart that I absolutely love, but many are thrifted. If you are new to plants I would Def wait to learn about pla to before going drainage free though. You can use all kinds of thrifted items for cache pots. I used glass bowls and candlesticks E600'd together fornolant stands. Still working on finding floor lamps for hanging plants! 🪴💚Thanks for sharing Harley. The boys are getting so big and even more handsome 😊
Wait, before you held up the aloe pot I was obsessed cause of the shape! Do you mind sharing where you bought it from? I went back but don’t think you mentioned 🫶🏻😊 Also, I agree I like doing different levels and using a variety of different shaped plants!!
The ashes as a plant lifter isn’t morbid at all. You just have the things you love helping each other out. Bonus you get to think of your beloved pet every time you water ❤
I have never seen someone use a tall lamp stand with plants on top like that! What a great idea! Thanks.
I sure hope Ryan realizes how lucky he is. You're such a gem 💎
You are the one who inspired me to go to estate sales and thrift stores for pots, saucers, and stands, and I've found so much beautiful stuff in the last few months!

For me, different coloured planters make a planty home look busy. I stick to all white planters of different shapes, textures, and patterns so the spotlight is on the plant.
I do the same but with black and white pots.
I love toppers also! Ive used leca, #4 perlite, apache tears (obsidian) bigger rocks, cinders and ant hill gravel (tends to sink into soil eventually unless you bottom water. Great ideas. I like the whimsical and silly too
Ohhh Visual interest from textures and shapes and not colors, I needed to hear that! Me too! I will be moving within a year and have been thinking about what plants I want to take with me and how I want to style a home. These videos have been really great.

Certain plants bring certain energy's and vibes.🪴🪴
Your tips are right on and your living room looks great.
One of my favorite tricks is CANDLESTICK HOLDERS!! It elevates a plant higher than others creating a variation of heights
The way you have your plants spread out looks really put together and neat! I have so many plants crowded around windows and I want to spread them out more but in the PNW I need to allow them to reach as much sunlight as they can lol
I love your creativity in selecting items for planters! I do the same thing. I also use larger candle holders as risers for plants. 😂
Love your outfit, and seeing you flit and be your happy goofy self!!!❤ this is what I needed to wake up to this am!
I'm so glad! thank you so much for stopping by. Have a good day!
I agree with all of your tips!
I think the most helpful thing I have done is make a point to only buy things I absolutely love, otherwise I'm just wasting money and collecting junk I'll need to get rid of later.
Your plant-filled living room is so inviting! 🌿💚 Love the cozy vibe!
I agree, how you display your plants is really really nice.
I have some blobs of green going on in my house 😅
Your outfit is so cute ❤
Love the lamp stand idea! I have 3 high ceiling rooms, will look awesome. Love all the ideas and going back to thrift shopping soon🤣
This was so so funny watching you keeping it in with the kids in the background probably doing monkey shines.....I loved it. Great tips Harli! Always love seeing what you do with thrifted pieces too!
Thank you so much for the great tips, so creative and beautiful 😍 And I love the cheesy ending hehe
I agree with you on styling plants .I put plants in tall glass vases in water;l like seeing the roots. I have some terra cotta pots in wire baskets for a look. I have watched you a long time Harli and learned much
I also love finding unique pots at the thrift store! It’s also really fun because you never know what you’re gonna find
I love your dress Harli, and the way you display your plants!
I love thrifting for small crystal vases for propagating! Love this video ❤
And I LOVE your dress! Very cute.
I loved this video and your' tennis' dress looked great
That lamp as a plant stand is genius. I have one almost exactly the same and I don’t like it as a lamp, but it would make a great plant stand.
I agree that different plants bring different textures. I treat plants as an extension to my interior decor. So color, texture, and pots all come into play. I love that you’ve tapered down your collection to plants that speak to your style. I did the same, but then felt incomplete without trying to care for calatheas one last time. I like that lamp stand. Cute 🥰
I love plants 😂 and yes I spent a lot of money and time on pots and displays to make sure they look their best. They are my girls what can I say ❤😂
I like the new look of your planting areas, yes less is more,i should apply it!
Is nice to have preloved unique pots and saucers,👌
💚🌿🌵🍀💚
I like to do that too ,it's a really good idea to elevate them, your looks nice and I love how the aloe vera looks on that pot.
Another fun video from my favorite plant girly ❤ the way you style your collection is so creative and fun
I am all up for making space at the moment with being able to give space so I can appreciate plants better, nut I struggle getting rid plants really hard! everything has sentimental value and I can't get rid of!

Thank you, Harli, for ALWAYS breaking the rules 💙
I agree that spreading plants out is better. There's less competition for the eye. I also have a euphorbia coral cactus, but the top of it is growing and changing shape in a weird way! I'd love to know how you've avoided that!
I love using stoneware crocks as cover pots for top heavy plants. If I find one for a really good deal, it's coming home with me!
It looks nice ,the way you display your plants. nice to vary the plants
And give space. As the plants get space, the leaves.... start showing off.
Love your tips! I have a very similar plant care stye and aesthetic taste so your perspective is always so great!
Loved all your tips ❤ I'm sitting at just over 100 plants at the moment and something that has really helped with my care routine is grouping plants with same/ similar lighting and watering needs together.
I love all of these ideas. Never thought of the lamp idea but that's brilliant.
That dress looks great on you 👍 Your plant styling has evolved and is looking great 😀🇨🇦
Omg we have the same dark grey planter with white polka dots on it, I thrifted it from my local thrift store!
Your kiddos are adorable! Love seeing them in your video!

These were SUPER HELPFUL
I love your outfit! I like your style girl. Your planty aesthetic is on point 🤓😎🤩
Great tips...thanks for this video!
Thanks for watching (:
Thanks for the tips Harli
I top my plants with rocks! For some reason, I have this fascination with unusual-looking rocks!
I love the rhipsalis I. That flat pot. It’s really cute.
This was super helpful! Thank you!
Lol.... love it!
The dress is cute as well.
Love your suggestions and I like you love the jungle vibe but not loving the way I have my plants. I will use some of your suggestions 😊

This is also random because you didn’t mention it in this video, but I would love to see a week of chicken chores video!
Love your style Harli!
All good ideas. I’ll have to try and incorporate into my collection.
I’m loving this video while I watch the Olympics. But I love the whole idea and would watch another one
Could you do a video on pest management especially fungus gnats? I'm in Texas and they are a nightmare!

Getting into our 🍃✨️designer girl era✨️🍃🤌
trying anyway :P
I love estate sales for finding used planters!
Are you able to link the planter you have the Aloe Vera in? 😍

I love all the advice! About your aloe... did you buy it that big? Are they slow growers?
@@stephanieh651 it was one of those $4.98 ones from Lowe’s! I’ve had it a while & it has grown pretty fast under high light

Agreeable grey

What’s the name of your shop. Everytime I try I try to look up a shop it doesn’t work
She mentioned the name @ 6:09
I'm boring, all of my indoor pots are white & outdoor ones terracotta 😂
I bet that looks really pretty! To each their own for sure(: We all have different tastes & preferences ❤
All my plants are in white pots. I just like the consistency and it lets the plants shine
😊😊😊
