MJ did not call Paul "tiger", she looked up in the sky and was asking Peter that. Like she was like "where are you Peter?" Paul was just leading the way far ahead of her. She was not talking to him.

To me, the worst thing about this issue isn’t just about the relationship with MJ and Paul, Peter and the other Heroes, or Peter working with Osborn. It’s MJ and Peter. Now I don’t mean MJ and Peter no longer being together, but it’s how MJ has been treating Peter for this entire run.
Since the beginning of this run MJ has been actively avoiding Peter like he did something horrible, as of the break up was his fault, as if she was angry with Peter. But no. We see nothing to warrant this behavior at all. MJ gave up on Peter. She broke his heart. Peter broke his bond with the other heroes (keep in mind that Peter actually did explain the situation, but they not only denied to help, but actually went against him) and teamed up with Norman Osborn (the man he hates more than anything) for the sake of saving MJ. But instead got a broken heart for his troubles. If anything Peter should be the angry one. But instead MJ is the angry one, she won’t even let Peter _talk!_
Now it’d be one thing for her to be angry because he stole from the heroes. But Peter did it because he tried to save her, and said other heroes wouldn’t. Peter has done nothing to MJ to deserve this treatment. If anything he helped her in the best way possible by saving her and her new "family" from a Mayan apocalyptic dimension and bringing them to one where there’s proper food, housing, and friends to depend on. And again, she’s treating Peter like the worst person ever. *Why!?!*
Tbf it seems that Peter stalked MJ for a while after this, and that's why she's been avoiding him

Here's my idea,
1) Madame webb finds out that a descendant of the inheritors has been pulling the strings for a long time. The sins past storyline, one more day and the zeb wells run are mcguffins. So Paul was tasked to unite the trinity. Once the three events get interconnected, Peter stops being spiderman and the web of life and destiny gets destroyed forever. So Madame Webb puts together the spiderpeople to stop Paul from uniting the trinity.
2) After Paul's death, the spiderpeople finds out that Norman Osborn was in touch with the inheritor for a long time. With the green goblin's help, the one who can make spiderman suffer the most, the inheritor unites the trinity. Peter submits and the web of life and destiny gets destroyed.
3) The spiderpeople goes back in time to stop Norman from fucking Gwen, stop Peter from making the deal with Mephisto, and stop Peter and MJ from ever falling into Paul's trap. Now Peter is settled in life. He has a family, a wife, a daughter and the web of life and destiny gets fixed. Thats when the inheritor attacks with each and every spiderman villain. And each and every spiderman joins the battle. The story which began in Amazing Fantasy is finally at it's climax. Paul betrays his master and dies a hero. Peter realises that he is the key to the web of life and destiny and he can never submit. So he wears his costume and swings with Miles and Mayday. He knows despite how much growth and development he goes through, he will always be a broken man, without family, without friends, without money, without job. But that's not who spiderman is. Peter Parker died the day Uncle Ben was shot. And now he is just the Amazing Spiderman...
Sins past was undone already
But One More Day wasn’t. God I so want Aunt May to find out about it and get angry with Peter for making a deal with the devil. Then some cosmic battle against Mephisto happens and Aunt May sacrifices herself to grab some power (I’m just making stuff up without fixing the details but maybe this Paul business was Mephisto’s plot) and warps reality, and Peter and MJ finds themselves in bed together with wedding rings, and a little girl comes in their room wondering why her mommy and daddy screamed.
Brilliant, but Paul needs to be fixed first. Then (if you read my pitch) Mephisto can replace the inheritor and it would make total sense. Also if sins past is undone already it wouldn't be difficult to find another comic where Peter had to suffer badly. Say for example, the night gwen stacy died. The spiderpeople goes back in time to stop gwen from dying. So now everything is back on track for Peter. All of his girlfriends begging for him. Job offers as photographer, as scientist, as teacher. But all Peter decides is to give up on life and be Spider-Man...
Or we could just have deadpool literally break through the 4th wall holding the Marvel editors at Gun point for missing with his Bro Spidey’s Life lmfao😂

It's really annoying that they deliberately made the kids look like MJ and Paul to throw us off just to make us feel better that they're actually adopted. It's lazy writing and deceiving just for the sake of it
I don’t see how them being adopted makes it better to be honest. Like if Peter and MJ get together now they either make MJ a bad mother that ignores her kids or they retcon the fact she had kids to begin with.
I honestly cannot believe that they assassinated MJ to give Felicia a shot at the relationship. I don't dislike Felicia but it's BS like this that makes me feel a type of way about her which is completely the writers fault. I always knew back in the beyond run that they were trying to push felicia to be more involced and felt a romance agenda which felt like it was reaching the line since Pete and MJ were still together (honestly got scared they were trying a throuple). The finished product of that is irritating af. Nobody likes Paul and nobody wants him yet he's sticking around for some reason (if you've seen the spoilers for the 26th issue, he is unfortunatelty there).
Black Cat should've moved on from Peter at this point tbh and just in general a long ass time ago lol.
This is just pathetic that they forcibly split MJ and Peter, so Felica can be rebound for Peter (and nothing more). Besides everyone knows Felica is only temporary, MJ is for life.

Yeah, the guy just keeps changing his muscular structure depending on the story, one moment he's as ripped as fuckin' Schwarzenegger in his prime, one other he seems a normal dude who just got out of his office, sometimes even a skinny guy, but every time he's a void shell without any trace of personality. He might be an illusion of Mysterio brainwashing MJ for all we know!
Something that irritates me is that, had Peter gone to Dr. Strange instead of the Fantastic Four in the beginning, absolutely none of this would have happened. Yes I understand that the FF would have been Peter’s first choice. Yes I also understand that they were written out of character, denying Peter the help he needed even after explaining everything that had happened, and even going as far to admit that they were given orders to both prevent him from using a lab but to forcefully apprehended him. Yes I also know that Dr Strange was dead at the time.
But at the moment Clea was the acting Sorcerer Supreme. Gods? Different Dimensions? Losing the love of your life and doing everything to bring them back? This is exactly what Clea would have both sympathized with and personally relate to. Plus she would never blindly listen to Captain America's orders. Or likely listen or care. She would have been the perfect person to help Peter, save MJ, and probably kill both Paul and Scribbles Man.
Ahhh you see this is why I don’t like the idea of magic and Spider-Man, it solves every day issues way too easily

She did't leave him because she thought Peter left her to die, it was out of obligation to the kids and that she spent 4 years with "paul", she can't break it off easily.
He didn’t leave her to die and she didn’t think that.. she was the one who sent him away and because time move faster there she was in that world with Paul for 4 years. You have to read the comic to understand more. I understand it’s not the greatest and it’s poorly done but so far it makes sense to me 🤷🏿♂️

Personally at this point, it doesn’t matter anymore. Personally I stopped reading this run after the chasm event and honesty all I can just say is that they just character assassinated Mary Jane very much. Like I said it doesn’t matter anymore to me. Man no wonder Linkara said that spider-man is dead to him, and I feel the exact same way…

I wonder if something was changed from the original plan because yeah, literally none of this is peters fault. Obviously he shoulda explained himself to the other heroes but that's it. The teaser 1 yr ago just lied to the audience.

I remember when they showed that giant crater image with the tagline and I thought maybe he had to set off a bomb that killed someone or maybe someone had to sacrifice their lives to save the day. But no. The crater was literally not his fault at all. No one was hurt. So what was the point of teasing the story with that panel?

I don't think she truly loves Paul. MJ cut Peter out of her life completely. I believe she does this for either two reasons
1. She arfiad if she spends too much time with Peter she will fall right back, hopelessly, in love
2. She is crused by Rabin...or Someone else because if you know the 26 spoiler this story doesn't seem to be resolving at all

There are 2 things that irritate me in this issue.
1. The kids aren't even hers, or Paul's. The plot is getting a little weird and iffy for my taste. It probably would have better if Mary Jane and Paul actually have biological kids, because this... It's real f##king convenient, to find these random @$$ kids, who so conveniently look just like Paul and Mary Jane. Yeah, plot.
2. What the f##k is up with the girl's name changes?! The girl, Mary Jane's now daughter, went from being called "Roxy" to "Stephanie" and then now "Romy". Who comes up with the names in this story?
I'm actually glad they aren't theirs, but I do find it weird that it's so convenient that the kids look like them, they could have done something to make them either have small similarities to make us think that, like I assume they were trying to do when the kids were introduced I guess, or just have them be their kids, tho I'm not fond of that idea in the slightest but that's just me, but at the end of the day I got what I wanted, the kids aren't theirs, just because I don't like Paul so I don't want to see him have any little Paul crotch goblins, but I'm still not happy as it's a result of a unnecessary, stupid, dumb, contrived and messy story which seemingly straight up nukes these characters personalities behaviour just to move the plot forward like it's DUMB.

While I certainly hate the events that took place in the issue, I will give credit to the fact it doesn't look like MJ actually loves Paul. Or at least she loves him like family, but isn't "in love" with him. Remember MJ comes from a pretty broken family, she knows what that does to a kid. So even though she probably does want to be with Peter to those kids Paul is "Dad" so leaving him isn't an option. In my opinion the best outcome is MJ gets either triple 7s or skulls and it resets the timeline, takes her back to the fight with the Mayan god and this time they kill him and his follower. This allows them to make a better device to get home all at the same time, but now MJ and Paul never spend a ton of time with the kids so they have no reason to be a family. MJ of course remembers the original timeline but can do nothing about it as she no longer has that bracelet, this leads to her breaking up with Peter to process events and we get a stinger explaining that while this does change events a bit they stay fairly similar. Meaning Peter ends up dating Felicia etc. It's not great but I think it's the best ending we can expect right now.
Considering the current characterization of Mary Jane, Peter and Mary Jane are a Power Couple No More. Yes that was a joke but also a jab. Seriously, Peter needs to find happiness. Not in MJ but in someone else. I have lost interest in seeing these two stay together. Give Peter a girlfriend who will stay loyal to him.

A great Arc would be "Spider-Man: No More Days" where it's revealed that Paul is Mephisto who orchestrated the events because Peter was about to undo their Deal

I remeber Paul pusheing Peter through the portal, like Peter was trying to convince MJ to jump through without him and Paul just pushed Peter in, which read to me like he was trying to seclude and fuck MJ. I genuinely thought they were setting him up to be a villain because that's a scummy thing to do, if it were genuinely about survival you'd probably want Spider-Man over some woman, I really thought he was just trying to get some last man on earth pussy.

Ugh the real F4 would’ve helped Peter without question since they consider each other family knowing Peter is desperate. But instead we got another character assassination story since they acted like a bunch of hypocrites especially Reed when he has done much worse being involved in the Illuminati with the SRA, World War Hulk, Skrull Invasion etc
I really wish we had the 70s/90s mature Peter Parker back. Throw into the mix of starting a family, making a comeback with Parker Industries which is apparently easy with Fisk, Oscorp, Stark and all the other villainous companies still conveniently always coming back.

LewisFilms, before I give you my thoughts on this in the comments, I just want to clear this for you and as well as for everyone else: 3:24 "What's the hold up, Tiger?" - SHE IS NO REFERRING TO PAUL, BUT PETER (WHO IS BACK IN 616, DOING EVERYTHING HE CAN TO BRING HER BACK AND SHE IS WAITING FOR HIM) - IT WOULDN'T MAKE SENCE OTHERWISE FOR HER, LOOKING AT THE SKY WHILE PAUL IS WALKING AWAY FORM HER (please, look it up again, even tough I know that this is a painful issue).
Ok, thank you, now that that's over wtih, let's me share these things I figured out after I read the issue over and over again (painfully) to understand:
MJ's reason for staying with Paul is actually the children. Hear me out - there is no way for me to believe that MJ would just remain with Paul, given her history (60 comic years) with Peter. So, after the they found and adopted the children (THANK GOD they are not Paul and MJ's children - probably Rabin's constructs to act as MJ's "chains"), in the span of almost 4 years MJ decided to become their mother, because she is a responsible person - she can't just leave them. She even gave them Paul to play the father figure. This doesn't mean necessarily that MJ and Paul went very intimate with their relationship - this issue or the comic run as whole nethier showed us any development for Paul's character or him and MJ interacting with kissing and/or them "doing it", which in #25 felt rushed and forced (And I am hoping I'm right about this). Even though I still hate it very much that she was put in such a situation in the first place, there was no other way for her but to take "responisbility" for them (look at the end of issue #9 - the conversation between Peter and MJ). And that responsibility is starting to weigh on her the moment Peter shows up and saves them and returning them to 616. She still loves Peter, but she cannot be with him now that she is commited to the children with Paul, causing her to reject and avoid Peter very hard, causing them both to be hurt really bad emotionally (look back at their interactions and the way they look at each other through this entire s**tty run - Peter's call to her, accidentally meeting at Oscorp as well as the hotel with their "partners" - Felica and Paul) because if she allows herself to be near she will, she will break.
This issue was very frustrating for me to read and only supports my opinion (despite the defenders of this stupid) that this run is garbage, total disrrespect towards Peter and MJ and their characters's source material and they should retcon this immediately (I don't care how - erase the kids and Paul somehow) after they fire Wells and Lowe and I hope it's soon , if not - at least after their c**py run (despite the defenders of this stupid s**tshow of a comic run).
As for the question, whic has been dragged this entire run "WHAT DID PETER DO?" - IT'S "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING" AND GOT SCREWED OVER ANYWAY FOR WELLS'S S**TS AND GIGGLES !!! (SUCH A MISLEAD IS INEXCUSABLE)

Just need to add, I don't think she's in love with "paul", it's a bond that they they've shared and adding kids to the mix, simply strengthened that bond, and obligation she's fullfilling, Rabin himself said the children will be her chains, when he drew what looked liked two symbols of babies in the sand, meaning that Rabin is most likely their creator, and through them ties her to "paul"
Plus When Mary Jane told Peter "I'm not leaving him" it came off factual, a statement, an obligation she had to fullfill.

Still feels unfair how she won’t even let Peter talk to her. Considering everything he did her, while saving her new family, honestly he didn’t do anything to _her,_ so why is she giving him the cold shoulder?
@@azureheart2846 I am sure that MJ still loves Peter, but due to her "responsibility" to the children she cannot just simply abandon them. And that avoidance and rejecrton weighs heavy on her (judging by her expression on her face when interracting with Peter).
@@azureheart2846 Remember, #1 started 6 months after Peter rescued Mary Jane, so it could be he did something within those 5-6 months which forced her hand and tell Peter not to talk or contact her again, something we still have no idea about, maybe it will be made clear in #26, or knowing Wells we'll have to wait another year dure his final story to find out.
I just hope he fullfills his promise to put everything back the way he found it.
Sorry, but I don’t buy it. The whole thing basically hinges on almost everyone but Paul being out of character just for the sake of making this happen. It’s the highest definition of “Because The Plot Demands It” which makes it come off that much weaker. At this point even if you told me that Paul was a bad guy or had some agenda and was using MJ, it just makes me roll my eyes at this point and go back to reading my manga.

Let’s be 100% clear, Peter would have waited for MJ! Outside of her being outright dead or horrible writing, man would have waited 5, 10, 20 years for her, heck real MJ would have waited for him, not this stunt double that took her place while she is standing in line at the DMV.
I mean add in the fact that the 2 days it would had taken to explain everything would had probably made the process of saving her faster. I mean took him and Osborn months right if he explain everything he have the help of Reed, Tony and every smart person and probably does it faster

Okay so there's a scene in spiderman TNAS its in the second electro episode titled " sparks fly" anyway theres a scene where harry osborn is talking about some old tapes his father norman would make him listen to, he would play them backwards and hear stuff like " I BURIED PAUL " considering how much of a meme paul is due to how much everyone hates him, im going to assume the paul norman was referring to was the paul of that dimension 🤣 since deep inside, dont we all wanna bury paul ?? 😁

Ways Marvel break up Peter and MJ
1. No one can save Aunt May except mephisto who not only retconned the marriage but the identity revealed undoing decades worth of comics
2. Have some lame villain trap MJ in a alt dimension where time moves faster with some random due and have them both raise adopted kids that look exactly like they could be their biological kids.
And have Peter destroy his relationships with the FF, the same team of super heroes who are probably smarter than Norman and probably would have help Peter with a more convincing or Peter not burying his costume at the explosion in Pennsylvania. I miss 2000s-2010s Slott era. At least Peter was competent and not the poorly written wreck he is now. Glad Marvel hasn't gotten my money from anything Wells has written.
The civil war identity reveal should've never happened and was always a stupid ass decision and JMS/Marvel just had Aunt May and MJ agree and justify so that the reader can do the same lol. That ooc moment is what caused this whole trainwreck.

Remember how Clone Saga was considered to be worst thing that happened with Spidey and then OMD happened. Imagine in like 15 years we would get plot line so bad, that we would miss this story line

XD if she can drop him like that I think its fine if Peter and Felicia get together they have way better dynamics. I’ll tell y’all what Peter Parker actually did, he became a victim of Zeb Wells’ terrible writing! As much as I loved that Spider-Man is dating Black Cat once again, I must say that Zeb Wells’s run of Spider-Man is the worst thing since Dan Slot’s run and the Brand New Day! Not to mention that Paul as a character sucks! Spider-Man and all the characters deserve better!

Lol Dragon Ball is Japanese, and it succeeded very well in America with a hero who has a family and a son. I just can't get into comics anymore. All these books have been going so long it seems they are running out of ideas. It's either that or they are releasing too many books to keep straight and they have to deal with multiple storylines instead of just one. How many books of spider-man are out there? How many super-man books are out there? How many Batman books are out there? They can't even keep character ages correct. If you go back you'll even see that a lot of the Marvel storylines have been taken straight from the What if storylines. All the DC and Marvel books are a mess.

What a terrible run
I've shared this before, but this is how I would've written Paul/MJ/Peter.
Paul's kids would've been really his, Paul's a single dad who works a middle management white collar job, he lost his wife in a bank robbery and he hates Spider-Man because Spider-Man was seconds away from getting to the robbery before she was shot, as in as soon as the bullet touches her Spider-Man swings into the bank and kicks the robber. He and MJ met shortly after her and Peter have a massive fight and they hit it off quickly, MJ starts to hit it off with the kids and they get married really quick because of how quickly they all hit it off.
Because of this Peter can't stand Paul and Paul also can't stand Peter because he was MJ's first love and everything one night Paul and MJ invite Peter over to try and patch things up. The two men try to make things work because they both love MJ but it just doesn't work, Peter and Paul start to flip out on each other and Peter storms off.
The next issue after a fight with Tombstone where Peter barely escapes he visit's MJ to apology for acting like such an ass. Telling her that if she loves Paul he can live with it because he would rather she be happy with Paul and her not be his, than her be miserable and spend her whole life with Peter. They hug and Paul catches them hugging from the other room. But when Paul comes i nthe room, Peter apologizes to Paul too and Paul accepts it. Then Paul enters the other room and hires a hitman to take out Peter meanwhile MJ and the kids are playing a game and she starts to wonder if she married Paul because she loves Paul or because Paul's kids need a mom.
The hitman tracks Peter and tries to take him out but his Spider-Sense kicks in and he escapes, he has no idea what's going on or why he's being hunted, he assumes it's simply Tombstone. So Peter/Spider-Man is on the run, eventually he and the hitman show down and Peter fights, but it takes everything out of him and after he defeats him, Paul pulls a gun on Spider-Man realizing that Peter is Spider-Man. Thinking he can take both of his problems out at once he's happy. As he's cocking his gun, MJ smacks Paul with a frying pan and demands a divorce. Paul is arrested and the kids are sent to their grandparents but MJ still tells them she'll be there for them as a friend. MJ and Peter apologize to one another and hug as the comic ends.
That's would be so much better.

Just to clarify. 3 things.
1 Mary Jane didn’t call Paul “tiger”. That was meant for Peter. She was looking at the sky wondering why he was taking so long.
2 Mary Jane didn’t cheat on Peter. This is the most annoying thing when it comes to everyone talking about this on UA-cam and Facebook. She never cheated on him. At all. If your partner goes to war and is reported to be missed in action. And you move on with your life a couple of years later. And then that person retunes because they weren’t dead after all, is that supposed to be cheating? Not at all. Is neither’s fault. And the exact same goes here. Peter did everything right to come back for her. She waited for him for a long time. She hold on. But 4 years transpired for her, almost half a decade and she couldn’t have known that time moved differently and that Peter was pretty much at the same point in time when he left. Peter is allowed to feel like shit? Of course. But is not cheating at all.
3 There is a panel you didn’t mention. One where Paul says: “I should have told you” There are some people especulating he is implying to be impotent and thus he is unable to have sex with MJ. A little something for our Spider-Man broken hearts. But there are also those who think he is implying something that will be relevant in the future for the story, because is case no one knew, this couple of issues were never meant to be the end of this. We are meant to look at the big picture and realize that everything will come to a close with a forced happy resolution for us fans to don’t stop buying this mess. And whenis that supposed to be? In 3 years when issue 1,000 of the Amazing Spider-Man comes out. Not a si gle day before. So, the story is shit? Yes, by an extremely long shot. Did Mary Jane cheated on Peter?. Not at all. Who’s fault is this? Zeb Wells and Marvel over all. How lo g are we supposed yo suffer with 616 Peter through this crap? 3 more years. 80 issues. What is the bright side? Spider-Man 2 for PS5 and Across the Spiderverse in 2023. Spider-Man 3 for PS5 or PS6 somewhere around 2027? Beyond the Spiderverse in 2024. Great Stories, characterizations and Peter and Mary Jane are together in both. If the marriage is not back by issue 1,000 I think is pretty clear it is time to move on and let Spider-Man of earth 616 go forever:

I really dont like what Zeb wells is doing with Spiderman now. This whole situation sort of just parallels the recent Donny Cates Hulk run. I watched Comicstorian's video about this yesterday and he makes great points which basically boil it down to that this entire run has been very mediocre. Very meh. And now they throw in a pointless death to do what ? Ms Marvel was barely involved in this story. The way it looks, this run is gonna end real soon and its gonna look a lot like Donny Cates Hulk run where all the fuckup will be wrapped up and a new writer will take up the next run.

I really think that the speed up timeline in the other universe is a plot device used poorly to try to get the reader feeling sympathetic for Paul and Mary Jane’s relationship (four years is a long time to develop a relationship)
This is why I stopped reading Spiderman in the 90's just him being raped by Marvel again and again and again Its torture porn and I checked out decades ago.

I like the run but hate the story. Peter has been crapped on since the Clone Saga. Which is really important. You had the majority of its readers the same age as Peter at that time. And while many of those readers felt a connection of a working stiff with a crap job, but a beautiful wife and expecting a child, it was a normal progression or evolution of the character. Then Marvel steals that away from him via Clone Saga and Green Goblin. Flash forward and it seems that Pete and MJ have gotten past that and you Joe Q (Fuck you) destroy that idea by giving us One More Day, THE WORST SPIDERMAN STORY EVER. Now Zeb wants us to see Peter again being torn to Shreds especially after that good Kindred story. Although I hated that they did not undo One More Day. All for what? I feel if MJ does not stay with Paul they will kill them off by the end. Leaving Peter alone again playing uncle with 2 kids.

this run is a joke, and spoilers from # 26 only prove it. After that issue I am going to be dropping SM comics unless DeMatteis writes some new mini-series or Ultimate Spider-Man comes back after Hickman's Ultimate Invasion.

I honestly don’t have a problem with Peter and Felicia being a couple and staying together in the long run. I’ve always wanted to see them together fully. I hope that Marvel keeps them together for a long time and for more Spider-Man issues to come and with Black Cat in the center too. I know this comic isn’t doing very well and the writers aren’t doing a very good job handling the characters and are pretty much destroying everything and that hurts. I have nothing against MJ, but I think that Peter and Felicia are a much better duo with better chemistry and they’ve have been a duo that I’ve wanted to see become a full-fledged couple for a while now
I'm sorry, but they never lasted long - Felica was always for the moment, would never make compromises from being a thief and etc. so she could remain with Peter permenantly.
@@Konnik92 well things have changed between the two. Felicia has given up her life of crime, turned her life around and has become a hero. She has also fully accepted all of who Spider-Man is meaning that she loves Peter Parker now and not just him as Spider-Man. Felicia has also spend more time as herself now and not so much as her alter ego Black Cat. Plus, I think that Spider-Man and Black Cat have a better dynamic than what Spidey has with MJ because of both of them being superheroes, being independent and not having to save one or the other every time and kick ass together

The way she was portrated in this run has left me with the way it went like: "Hey Peter, heard you broke up with Red again - want a rebound?"(like right after their recent break up). Besides, you do know "opposites attract", right? This has always been the case with Peter and MJ. He is the superhero, she is a civilian and there were also cases where MJ was actually kicking ass, instead if playing the "damsel in distress"

I am aware that opposites do attract and I know that MJ can hold on her own, but I at this point with what they’re doing with her character I just don’t see her and Peter getting back together. I could be wrong and they could always just throw us off with twists and turns though, but right now I just don’t see it happening. When Marvel has to break Peterand MJ up - they use some big turning point, especially if it's of magical/supernatural origin (like OMD and now with Rabin and Paul). When Marvel has to break Peter with someone from the rest of his love interests - he just has to act himself.
I really think people tend to overstate the whole soulmates thing with Peter and MJ when for a long time, Peter and Gwen were and can be considered as soulmates and had way more in common, were almost nearly engaged if not for Gobby fucking that up and it definitely took time for Peter and MJ to get together. It's much more accurate that they built a relationship together, committed to each other, and were now in each other's lives. But not because of the whole soul mates bs, because they created a relationship, a bond together moving forward.
