Hey Christian!! Great to see you back my good friend! Some awesome pick ups man! Definitely I be afraid of the dynoflex of “Almost in Love” Camden. 😁😁👍🏻 Missed your videos and your entertaining videos. Glad to have you back brother! 🙌🙏☝️👍🏻 TCB ⚡️⚡️😎
I started collecting as a kid in the early 70s so most of my older albums were re-issues on dynaflex and they've held up just fine after all these years and they sound fine as well. One way to avoid breakage is to not see how far you can bend them 😁. That being said I love the contemporary releases on 180 gram vinyl.
Hello Christian, Nice to see you are back! The record companies started shrink rapping albums with the rise of shopping centers.Had to do with people taking the records out the sleeves and putting them back in .People did not want finger prints or scratches. The first shrink rapped lp I have is Roustabout stereo bought 1/2/1965.
Hey Fuzz, glad to see everyone again! Thanks for the shrink wrap info. I don't think I've ever seen one of the old pre-shrink-wrap bags. Were the records displayed in bags, or just put in bags after purchase?
The stores put the plastic covers on the albums and put them out in the bins. They kept them after you purchased your album. @@cheapbeat-upelvispresleyvi6195
Nice to have you back in the ELVIS world lol. I missed your videos I really missed your funny take on things the world needs more laughter and more beat up ELVIS records. You made a great haul this trip to the record store some great old ELVIS albums. Can't wait to see what's in the box you got , take care and see you on the next video.
Glad to see you back, I really like your channel and your approach to Elvis collecting. The World Wide Gold Award Hits 3&4 was indeed a record club only item on vinyl. The Legendary Concert Performances wasn't though, as I remember buying it in a store in 1978. My copy of Spinout has the sticker on the shrink wrap so it looks like someone reattached it to the cover on yours, it looks good too. Regarding the On Stage...some people will go nuts over the smallest variation so I say good find! My copy has both lines in red, but if I found the red/white combo in a bargain bin I'd pick it up for sure LOL. The copy of Almost in Love with the wrong back is pretty darn cool. I don't recall ever seeing such an error. You've sure proven there's gold in the bargain bins!
Great video! I am noticing the re-used pics of Elvis all seem to be after his death. I wonder if this was RCA doing an end run around the Colonel as per the contracts the Colonel normally sold and approved the album cover pics and composition, but since RCA had already purchased these pics and I would assume the rights to use the pics perpetually since it was in everyone's best interest to clear the path to as many re-issues of the same album as the public demand would allow, RCA was able to use these pics for free on these new compilation albums. Have you noticed if all of the material on these compilations is pre-1974? If so, RCA bought all these rights in 1973 so Elvis could pay Priscilla for her second round of divorce demands, meaning RCA paid no one for either songs or pics. It would also explain the very 1970's cover on the 1978 album as the Colonel would never approve such a composition. Interesting finds!
Hey Christian, like everyone else here, I am happy to see your latest video! You and your Aussie counterpart @beatup records and CDs, are two of my favorite channels now because you don't get involved in the ongoing dramas about Elvis' extended family, the Kardashian/Presleys I call them. I just want to see and hear Elvis, nothing and nobody else. Love your coffee mug. Sad to see what Lucille wrote over her record covers. Obviously heartbroken when Elvis died.. : - ( You got some great LPs there, You and other UA-camrs have inspired me, I am starting to go to record fairs and picking up vinyls that I've never seen before. So much out there. Love your comparisons of covers that have the same photo of them as previous albums! Well spotted.
Great pickups, Christian. I have a few of the albums you picked up, but I'm sure I don't have any of the rare variants. Haha Please don't make us wait too long for the next video! 😂

Christian, my man, I’ve been wondering where you been at ?? I’m glad you’re back, I laugh every time you make those lil Christian comments and I, as well, call Elvis “Parsley”!!! 😅 Hope to see more coming and that Pure Gold album has been certified 2x Platinum status, even though sales were over 2.5 million. I’m glad you were able to pick up, “Pot Lick”, whoops, “Pot Luck”. 😊
Interesting video like me you prefer elvis album's from when he was alive you had there an nice version of the album pure gold I also have a 1970s version and another version under the name of solid gold with a similar cover but the picture was cropped from 1974 the almost in love album you showed is definitely a rare misprint they are always worth picking up I bought a few years ago and elvis maxi 45 from the 70s heartbreak hotel and side 2 was hound dog and don't be cruel with the labels printed on the wrong sides if possible they are always worth picking up
Nice to see you making videos again, Christian! That Spinout hype sticker on the cardboard is a DIY job, 100%
Hey Mike, so you think the buyer attached the sticker?

Hey MS, always love to hear your thoughts on the business side of Elvis. Cheers!
Never thought of that, could very well be.
The rca record club had , postage and handling charges per item , which was helping with the promotion price ,🎉
