    I remember when he was first building kits and posting on expedition portal back in that 2007 era. Great work!!!

    Full size shenanigans… scratch it don’t care… put it to work! Loving the Ujoint capability.

    I have a 13’ v10 wagon thats on the books for July… love hearing that a clean low mileage van with a v10 is the way to go… glad i got mine when I did, and I paid for it! Worth it!

      Fair warning, the van is the cheaper portion of the total bill.

    3:40 “every RV … is undersprung.”
    That’s why I clicked this vid and searched the biz name. My rv is on its second set of springs.

    I have a 97 E-150 I would love to have converted. I wanted to covert it before I even know it could be done…..now I just need to know what it will cost me. I’ll drive from Maryland in a Heartbeat for that.

    Hopefully it’s the intended purpose of the Turd van, but would love to see Ujoint as the crew van sponsor for Ultimate Adventure

      From what we hear, they killed ultimate adventure. They let go a bunch of editors here recently.

      @@DrivingLine sigh. Seems like an opportunity there. Although some smaller scale versions are happening like the GDR, GDR East and Appalachian Adventure. Would like to participate one of these days.

    $60K for a turn-key!!!???? Is that with the owner supplied van? If not that is a crazy good price!

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  Місяць тому +2

      60K is the price of the van already up fitted.

    It's too bad U-joint doesn't sell the seperate conversion parts like they used to so you can't do a 4x4 build over time to make it affordable.

      Had to stop for several reasons. The biggest problem was guys cobbling conversions together with one or 2 of our parts and then selling them as a "Ujoint" conversion. Then they'd reach out to me for a fix, big waste of time & $$/frustration in the end. And, some other "converters" would offer an incomplete kit and then send people to us for the hard stuff. So, complete kits only to preserve our name and quality standards.

    His flatbed has really incredible approach and departure angles. If it were me I would start with a standard wheelbase van or chassis cab and add a International 1993-1997 DT360 PPump diesel with a Eaton Fuller RTO-510 10 speed crashbox tranny with a 12 to 1 first and .78 overdrive, AAM 14 bolt 10.5” front maybe 11.5” rear axles with 3.31 or so gears and Grizzly locker rear and air locker front Crane Magnum wide kingpin knuckles. , divorced NV-271 HD t case. HMMV bead lock wheels and 40” radials. Deaver leaves on all 4 corners as long as possible and Bilstein shocks, engine gear driven air. My mind goes wild.
