You definitely just talked me out of doing urgent care. I'm thinking a hospital would be best for me because I like evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

I'm interested in working at a hospital, I have nothing but time on my hands, but first I need to get accepted into the program. I am in college working on my pre-requisites, working towards the Rad Tech Program. I am nervous that I could be denied after the interview, is being denied common? If you are denied, do you have another shot? I believe I watch a video on pre-requisites you made. Thank you for the good information.

There's usually more than one program/institution to apply to. Apply to all of them. Even if it's a little further than you would like.

Can dad techs do a lot of overtime like 60-70 hours per week?

Man I think I work about this hours. So my set up is:
Main Job: Mon, Tue & Thur - 36 hrs
PRN Wednesday, Friday & some Saturdays.
I average about 54-60 hrs week.
      Hope this helped 🙏🏽

Inject medications, take blood pressure? Is that covered in the rad tech program, or would I learn that on the job if it’s urgent care?

      Hi 👋
Thanks for always showing support I appreciate you 🙏🏽
Ok so they train you at the Urgent Care & it does fall under our scope of practice but we don’t learn that in school.

Ok so yes PRN is a possibility for Radiology Technologist which if your single with no kids it’s honestly the best because then your not committed to a certain shift and you can work when you want.
      Hope this helped 🙏🏽
