BTS wasn’t born with a silver spoon. They came from nothing, the tiny, no-name company BigHit Entertainment (founded by singer-songwriter/producer CEO Bang Si-hyuk ”Hitman Bang”, also called Bang PD-nim) which literally was near bankruptcy. Unlike many other big K-artists, BTS didn’t come from any of the so-called ”Big 3” companies. Because of the limited economy, BTS wore cheap but nice, cool clothes and accessories at their debut, and had a small, simple practice room in the basement. Their staff were acting in their MV’s, and instead of renting a car, they used one of their staff’s car to save money. There was no lavish living. They lived together in a cheap, small, simple dorm all 7 boys cramped together sharing one room with bunker beds, one toilet and shower etc. They grew up like a family and did everything together (cooked, ate, did the dishes, laundry, showered, slept, practised, worked out, hung out such as at Han River etc). In the beginning, they wrote 200 hand-written letters to all their fans because they only had 200 back then.. Also handed out free invitations to passing people on the street begging them to come to their small concert: ”Hi we are BTS, can u Please come to our concert it’s free!” They’ve slowly worked their way up and literally worked their assess off with blood sweat and tears to get where they are today! Everything they are today is hard-earned and well-deserved. Nothing has come for free which some seem to think. Get this haters! It’s really a story from nobodies to legends.

BTS discography are really versatile from hiphop to lofi, they experiment with all genre. but for english song they focused on poppy mainstream sound because it's easier to digest with western audience their b side song are hidden gems
Everybody has their own personal preferences for one reason or another and that is what makes life interesting and entertaining. That being said, Butter and Dynamite are enjoyable songs that have good beat but the lyrics are basically fluff compared to a vast majority of their songs. I would say I have at least 30 songs of theirs that I like better in context of overall beat, lyrics and flow.

Hi, some things about this boys. *Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with the term "kpop". Kpop isn't a genre, Kpop is an industry in Korea that create music for kids/adolescents, and not all singers/rappers/musicians in Korea are "kpop" 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce in all their albums, so is very personal, they sing about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) used to read and search to understand the link in their videos. Their last album for example was "map of the soul: 7" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Carl Jung. 4. The army love them because they are good people who started from a company in bankruptcy, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres but their base is very hiphop / rap. Also you can find subtitles in every possible language thanks to the fans, u only need to search with the name of the song or Activate cc. **Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals. Not because we like a group from korea that means we like all from that country.
@peace Is not a genre, literally is just a mix of genres, what's innovative about it, even in the usa they can put rap in the middle of a song, the only thing that makes it different is its distribution in production, which is actually quite rare and made to be sticky (for kids). and that in fact BTS doesn't have that structure in their songs. In the part of an industry they do not have the same type of contract as the kpop industry, neither the market form nor to whom they sell. and even less his music is only in Korean.So they are nowhere k-pop, getting out of the bubble of that manufactured industry could help you.

Just to say that watching one MV or performance is never the end of the story. They have so many versions depending on where the performance was so you have a lot of choice and one viewing is never the end of it. They are so versatile and you'll never be bored their live events are stunning). These guys are so talented and so humble. A good place to start their story is with an info or background on them and XCeleste does a great job with Intro to BTS and their story. It gives you a snapshot of why they are so big and so loved by their fan base. The journey is a blast and very enjoyable. You'll get to love them just for who they are, as they are not the manufactured usual 'stars' we see from the mainstream. Lemme tell you every Armys story:- Someone recommended them to watch BTS...they watched 1 or 2 vids .....they found it ok but amazing and interesting.....they wanted to learn their names as a task ......then yt recommended them bts try not to laughs....they watched those crack vids.....slowly slowly they started searching abt bts on GOOGLE....after few weeks they found themselves being addictive......but it was too late to turn back ......their phone was filled with this K stuff and so as their minds.....they started repeating korean words....a desire to learn Korean language .....soon they started discovering amd relating themselves with BTS and their fans ....then came INSTA, FB, TWITTER, V LIVE, RUN BTS, WEVERSE, KDRAMAS, KPOP, Haters, Scandals, Votings, Concerts, Award Shows, Streaming partys.....Bts gave them too much happiness and one day they felt sad coz of life problems then bts was the one to make them feel a bit happy and helped them stand out again in life( bts was not there but their influence helped amd supported all the time).....they shared this bond of friendship with 7 ppl and a family like ARMY and became one themselves 💜

Here a little list of b sides which are among the very best of their huge discography :) Dimple Spring Day Pied Piper Silver Spoon Anpanman Uhgood (RM) Seesaw UGH Black Swan Ddaeng Like it pt 2 Answer Love Myself Butterfly Serindipidy Their songwriting is one main factor why people love them so much. I recommend to check out the "explained by a Korea" Videos about tracks like Ddaeng, idol, ugh - the amount of references one misses as a non Korean or just as a not well read person is mind-boggling If you want to get to know them, one of the best introduction of the individual members to this day is "Who is BTS" by Suga&Spice

3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) used to read and search to understand the link in their videos. Their last album for example was "map of the soul: 7" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Carl Jung.
4. The army love them because they are good people who started from a company in bankruptcy, and even being famous they stay humble.
5. They have a lot of genres but their base is very hiphop / rap. Also you can find subtitles in every possible language thanks to the fans, u only need to search with the name of the song or Activate cc.
**Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals. Not because we like a group from korea that means we like all from that country.
@peace Is not a genre, literally is just a mix of genres, what's innovative about it, even in the usa they can put rap in the middle of a song, the only thing that makes it different is its distribution in production, which is actually quite rare and made to be sticky (for kids). and that in fact BTS doesn't have that structure in their songs. In the part of an industry they do not have the same type of contract as the kpop industry, neither the market form nor to whom they sell. and even less his music is only in Korean.So they are nowhere k-pop, getting out of the bubble of that manufactured industry could help you.

Just to say that watching one MV or performance is never the end of the story. They have so many versions depending on where the performance was so you have a lot of choice and one viewing is never the end of it. They are so versatile and you'll never be bored their live events are stunning). These guys are so talented and so humble. A good place to start their story is with an info or background on them and XCeleste does a great job with Intro to BTS and their story. It gives you a snapshot of why they are so big and so loved by their fan base. The journey is a blast and very enjoyable. You'll get to love them just for who they are, as they are not the manufactured usual 'stars' we see from the mainstream. These guys participate in their music and care a lot about their fans and are genuine. Something we don't see a lot of today. Will look forward to you getting to know them better in your reactions. Someone recommended them to watch BTS...they watched 1 or 2 vids
.....they found it ok but amazing and interesting.....they wanted to learn their names as a task ......then yt recommended them bts try not to laughs....they watched those crack vids.....slowly slowly they started searching abt bts on GOOGLE....after few weeks they found themselves being addictive......but it was too late to turn back ......their phone was filled with this K stuff and so as their minds.....they started repeating korean words....a desire to learn Korean language .....soon they started discovering amd relating themselves with BTS and their fans ....then came INSTA, FB, TWITTER, V LIVE, RUN BTS, WEVERSE, KDRAMAS, KPOP, Haters, Scandals, Votings, Concerts, Award Shows, Streaming partys.....Bts gave them too much happiness and one day they felt sad coz of life problems then bts was the one to make them feel a bit happy and helped them stand out again in life( bts was not there but their influence helped amd supported all the time).....they shared this bond of friendship with 7 ppl and a family like ARMY and became one themselves 💜

@@faith6833 i don't know if u listen to kpop or when u listen to kpop how many years u are doin it. dynamite is obviously a summer bop and has just these pop vibes. and i miss korean lyrics. butter is a lot better in my opinion(dynamite wasn't a bad song tho), but it has really micheal jackson vibes. i mean yeah it sounds very good and i love the whole song(especially the rap parts) but if u look at other kpop songs from kpop groups u'll see that dynamite and butter don't really have kpop features. also, since bts is successfull in the usa they do more songs with this west vibe u know what i mean? no hate, i stan them lol but their songs are still just kpop bc they are from korea from are korean label
