The magic square 2.0 is so far the best legend scale Optimus prime. Almost perfect. I cannot wait for the metallic painted version. Actually, the Nemisis prime version uses a black nylon plastic that isn't translucent, and has more paint. Overall it feels more premium than the red Optimus Prime. It is definitely worth getting too.
Interesting, they're both great. I think the 1.0 takes it for me. Better detail, better paint. The 2.0 looks really flat and a little cheap. I like 1.0 truck mode a lot better. If 1.0 could have a slightly larger head/face then it'd even out the proportion a bit. I've still got my dx9 Dutch, which I guess could be called newage 1.0.
I have MS 1.0 and the NewAge is and I'm still gonna get this sometime. They just both look so great. Oh, and "shaking hands with Ultra Magnus" sounds like a euphemism for something on Cybertron.

That 2.0 plastic just looks gummy AF. My 1.0 waist hinge just gave out on me in like 3 weeks because it was so tight and when I tried to force it it bent. Thank God for newage with the metal hinge.

Thanks Deluxe. Very informative comparison. I really like the 2.0, but I am waiting for them to put out a painted version, to go with my painted version of their Megatron. I think the chest looks much better on MS compared to NewAge.
I always prefer a balance between the cartoon stilish design and the solid look of those original 84-85 toys. I like the "realistic" and detailed look of the truck front piece at MS 1.0 chestplate.
What a beautiful figure. It's a longshot, but it'd look so good if they released a shattered glass version like they did for their mp. Regardless it'll look great next to my newage Optimus
My Light of Victory 2.0 version I ordered from ebay came with transparent windows as opposed to the blue opaque cartoon accurate windows - which is what i wanted. :(
