would be cool if the large mode used distinct colors for each block type like modern tetris [i know it's not possible in medium due to attribute clash]
aah, the classic change the preportions of the blocks mid game I should have expected I misread the title and though it'd be small blocks not getting smaller blocks
No lock delay in NES Tetris, so 20g would be literally unplayable. Hell, even the _top rollers_ are getting BTFO by merely 2g as the 'super killscreen' at level 39.
@@fishactivation5087 Well, you'd also have to implement floor kicks, otherwise pieces would fail to rotate even with lock delay, and at that point, how much further until you get to modern versions?
@@budgetcoinhunter I only play guideline and TGM, and I'm not very good at either, but I wouldn't imagine lock delay and floor kicks would change the game too dramatically, provided the rotation system and wall kicks remain unchanged.
@@fishactivation5087 But floor kicks are part of rotation system so if rotation system remains unchanged there can't be floor kicks. Original TGM and TGM2 had no floor kicks but still had different rotation system that lets most pieces rotate on flat ground, as well as initial rotation where pieces could spawn with held rotation before dropping.
It looks like the playing area is getting bigger now I know what it means by the pieces getting smaller the smaller the pieces get the bigger the playing area looks so as the pieces get smaller it will look like a regular Tetris game
Did the original tetris just not have 7 bag or did the creator of this video forget? Cuz the amount of pulls without a T-piece towards the end of the first section was genuinely sickening
NES Tetris is _almost_ purely random. There's one check to see if you're getting the same Next piece twice in a row, and then it pulls again if so, but if you get the same piece again, well, it just gives it to you.
The moment it shifted from big to medium made me want to go "WHOAAAAAA!!!" like I was in an 80s game commercial.
Lol me too
This definitely looks like something I would expect to see in a dream.
I want to see someone get to level 155 and crash the game with this mode.
Stop. Stop it.
It Will took ages
If it's a romhack then all these bugs should have been fixed
You can see the level counter displays correctly
Also it reads garbage deta, so the deta it reads could be different.
i mean, if it evolves at the same time as the speed, seemingly so by the changes at level 19 and 29, it realy will just be the same from level 29 to level 155
Small size actually looks so fun
Agree
I wish that what she said.
@@ihavenosub Big, medium, small, doesn't matter as long as you know how to use it.
@@hiimemily 😦
1:49 missed perfect clear
Never see that if not your comment.
Big is unplayable, Medium is just the regular play, Small could be fun if only the creator didn't manipulate it to happen at that _level_
well, level 29 would be a little bit easier with more room on the board
@@transrights2023 placing blocks precisely at that speed would be so much harder though
@@transrights2023 you would need to know how to roll still because das isn't fast enough
Small is playable as its own separate mode in the rom hack this comes from
@@ToaderTheToad Cool, I wanna play it now
Tetris really is my favorite game in the horror survival genre
tetris is not horror but survival
youre basically a disgra
how is tetris related to horror
LV 19: Gravity is at Extreme Speeds, and it Starts to go Haywire. The Mega Tetrominoes are now changed to Regular Tetrominoes.
LV 29: Gravity is Going so Haywire that the "Killscreen" has Mini Tetrominoes instead of Regular Tetrominoes.
So Big is like Big Mode in the TGM games, Medium is regular Tetris, and Small is the equivalent of Tiny Puyo in Puyo Puyo~n

At Japanese game centers, an arcade version of this mode called ``Dekaris'' was at one time operated at a game center run by Sega.
See, I want to see a version where the different sizes mix...
I watched till the end and realized that I mistook "shrink" as "shrek".
That's a mistake so good I wish I read it wrong the first time.
i watched it for 2 minutes and it didn't get any smaller. Mistakes were made somewhere.
It happens at levels 20 and 30.
No attention span?
"keep getting smaller" implies it's a regular occurrence i.e. they progressively get smaller, not only twice in a 7 minute video
@@phoenixaki3458the video creator really dropped the ball on this idea.
@@tibby4503 Tetris with balls instead of blocks. That sounds... different.
That's one way to practice precision. I'm surprised how uncomfortable the big pieces made me.
I wish real life was like this
tetris but it gets harder and easier at the same time
1:47 Oh man… you had an easy perfect clear.
TINY TETRIS: it's the game we've all seen ads for but have never had the chance to play
5:27 the actual pieces have lost their colour but in the statistics menu on the left side of the screen the pieces are still in colour
After someone beats 255 this version will be the new challenge
The beginning is just Tetris Giant
Posted in January 2023.
The start reminds me of that mode in Tetris party
I can't imagine trying to play DAS on level 29.
It's not the same without the music
This video is a reoccurring dream I've had since about the age of 5
can't believe they put nullpomino big mode on the nes
this new dekaris update goes crazy
this is literally that one mode in that Japanese exclusive Tetris 64
Why do I love these sounds:
3:43 and 3:47
Single Mode!
Score Challenge!
That first piece almost sounded like the beginning of megalovania from undertale.
Level 12 looks like the glitched colors screen on regular Tetris
would be cool if the large mode used distinct colors for each block type like modern tetris [i know it's not possible in medium due to attribute clash]
Large is the size of a palette combo so it would work assuming the playfield is aligned.
Guess it's not possible to make them smaller huh...
What?
I wanted the blocks to turn into sand
LEVEL 29 LMAOOOOOO
I thought this was an animation
then i read the description
Took it quite some time to turn small, tought it would be some progressive cursed thing
Small is just Tetris Party Deluxe Beginner's Tetris but with normal pieces.
Hi, which Rom should I use to patch this with, as Tetris USA Rom wouldn’t work?
2:12 amogus!?!?!?
I saw red vent to the left
But wait, This is not the Gameboy Version... This is the NES Version.
I think it's less the pieces getting smaller and more the board getting larger
aah, the classic change the preportions of the blocks mid game I should have expected
I misread the title and though it'd be small blocks not getting smaller blocks
6:26 Whenever I hear something like that my mind expects the Whiplash solo lol
0:29 why the random auto-generated "e"
What’s this game called (this version)
All this, and still no NES 20G.
No lock delay in NES Tetris, so 20g would be literally unplayable. Hell, even the _top rollers_ are getting BTFO by merely 2g as the 'super killscreen' at level 39.

ok but when's the first crash?
ah yes, everyone loves hitting 10taps XD

What triggers the size change? Is small as small as it goes?
Transitioning to levels 19 & 29. Yeah that's as small as it goes.
Is this a TAS?
Has to be, unless maybe the video is sped up. There's no way anyone has that kind of reflexes.
Uhh... Kind of seems like someone gave up at the end

It took way too long to start shrinking and where's the music?
Why the suicide, i wanna see more evolutions

both
