Robs stroke story always gets me. Heard it a few times. But thankfully rich was there for him that night. I've met rob many times. He is the nicest human ever. So incredibly grateful he is still with us
I was at the Tornonto convention that Rob had his stroke. It was my very first SPN con. We had no idea that Rob was going through this at the time. Thank god Rich was on top of it. This is definitely the best version of the story I've heard them tell.
I caught my dad in the early signs of his stroke as it developed a few years back and i still have nightmares about it to this day. Love that rob shares his story
I know Richard and Rob from Supernatural of course. I noticed they had a good relationship since I'd see posts and things they were both included in. I didn't realize the actual breadth of it until listening to them. It was beautiful to hear. The stroke story opened my eyes to their relationship and the illness itself. I'm glad they have each other. It was really sweet to hear how Richard was there for him. Great interview. Glad you had them on together. They really are fun, easy-going guys. You all are.
I loved this episode. I relate to Rob's trauma so heavily and it's so nice to hear him say that he thinks about his trauma every day. When I was 4 years old I fell down 18 steps, crashed head-first into the living-room floor. Fractured skull, concussion and tore the oral mucosa, so I was bleeding like a b!tch. It was the worst day of my life and now, 23 years later, I still remember everything. From that I got severe health anxiety, that daily fear of impending doom. I never thought I'd live past 12, past 14, past 18, nevermind past 20 and get to 27. And hearing someone like Rob live with that same fear but enjoying life and working through that, it's SO GOOD to see, I can't even put it into words. Thank you, Michael, for this episode and for letting both Rob and Rich talk about that situation (and so many other awesome stories!) so openly. Much love all the way from Germany
This was definitely one of my favorite episodes. So many emotions in one podcast! I had tears in my eyes when Rich was going through that whole story about Rob and his stroke. You all are amazing friends and it shows.
I never comment on things and this is new to me. However, this is is such an emotional episode and I am so grateful for Rob talking about his stroke. I had a stroke just over a year ago and this is exactly what happened to me. I couldn't speak or get the correct words. But I waited 3 days to go to the hospital and only decided to go, when I said to my husband "I can't get my penises out" ( which was super funny at the time). But I was in sooo much denile, as I was 34, was healthy and just started a new job. Just hearing basically exactly how I felt and was feeling at the time, is amazing and doesn't make me feel alone. So Thank You so much for being so open.
1:05:08 Something similar happened to me. I had a mini stroke from a vitamin deficiency. And unfortunately despite working and being around medical professionals no one saw it or noticed it. Thankfully he had a friend and someone who cared that noticed it and could tell the difference and got him to a place that could help and treat the issue. ❤
That stroke story was terrifying! It's really made me think. I have hypertension, in my 40's. It's controlled, my weight is controlled but I should still take my health even more seriously. Wow, how quickly his family could have lost him!

So blown away today listening to the pod, had to see the video version. AMAZING that Rich just had that feeling that something was not right with Rob and trusted his instincts, kept pushing to get to a doc. GREAT show Michael. 🙌🏽👏🏽
That's just the thing about a stroke. You can notice smth off, as if the eye is vacant, body is limp... long before the convulsions start. Scared me shitless. I had no idea what was happening to my dad. Luckily I,'d already called the ambulance (around 5m to get to our house) even before the convulsions started. So the ambulance arrived right after those. And the second time it happened I already knew the signs.
I love that Rich says 'Torono' instead of Toronto. He's halfway to pronouncing it like someone truly from Toronto, and certainly pronounces it like Canadians not from Toronto, generally.
My mom had a stroke two weeks ago, I recognized the signs quick enough to get her to the hospital in a safe time frame. She was released from the hospital within 48hrs because it was such a small event the symptoms and blockage only lasted a few minutes. The plan was just blood thinners and aspirin. Then the next morning she had another stroke with a completely different set of signs telling me what was going on. Called 911 and we were at the hospital fast enough to not only give them a 'last known normal' frame of reference, but for her to get the clot safely removed from her brain. Two days later in the hospital she had another, worse stroke - and yet again different signs and symptoms but able to act fast enough to get the clot removed and avoid major damage. I wholeheartedly believe hearing Rob's story helped me know what was going on enough to call. She's stable, still in the hospital and waiting to be transferred to acute rehab to help regain full mobility. All in all, she could be so much worse off. She's impressing her doctors and nurses at every turn with how well she's doing. You guys helped save my mom. Storytelling is powerful.
I just finished watching this one. This was truly a powerful episode. Thank goodness that Richard was there. Thank you to Rob for sharing his story. Recognizing the symptoms of a stroke early on is so important. My dad is a stroke survivor. Truly a powerful episode.
I really enjoyed this episode. Love the story about Rob's stroke, thankfully Richard was there for him 💜 Some will say... Richard was Rob's angel in disguise.
discovered this podcast as a result of a supernatural interview and have been listening ever since. so many of my favorite actors. so cool to see they're lovely people.
I'm sorry to say that I have tended to listen to episodes of people I know (which turns out to be quite a few anyway!!) but as I have not watched Supernatural (please don't judge!!) I'm ashamed to say I had not heard of Rob or Rich. (crazy...I know!!) I had a long drive ahead of me today so I thought I'd give them a listen as although I had not watched the show, I knew of it and it's tremendous fan group. Anyway, I'm so glad I did as I was so moved by the stories I was listening to. I was laughing, smiling and tearing up all in one episode. Well done on a fantastic episode. You can bet I googled both of them as soon as I got home to learn more about Rob and Rich and look forward to hearing more about them and who knows....I might even start watching Supernatural!! Such an awesome, inspirational friendship. Love from Australia xx
Thank God for friends like Richard. Love the friendship between these two. Glad Rob made it through the stroke with no permanent damage. Thanks, Michael, for these podcasts. I love them.
WOW!! Now that's friendship. I absolutely love the show. I enjoy sitting here, drinking a beer and listening to your podcasts. Thanks for a couple hours of relaxation
I love SPN cast. 😁 Rob is a great musician and Richard is the funny guy. I love his Paint It Black cover. 🤣 Great choice. Thank you, Rosey. 🥰 Nice Shirt.

this was great, glad he could share about his stroke as well. becoming more aware about medical conditions and what we can do about them is always a plus.
Hearing the stroke story really shook me. Lost my mom to a major stroke in 2013 so it was hard to listen but I’m so glad that they managed to save Rob. Damn
I loved this. Really enjoyed hearing about Rob’s relationship with his ex. Great example. Who doesn’t love these guys together? Comedy gold and such nice guys.
So glad these two are the guests this week. 😀. Loved it when you were on their podcast. The stories and personal grooming habits that you shared were hilarious! Should be interesting now that the roles are reversed...
Excellent episode. I have had extreme medical issues, and I would not be here if it were not for my mother, ems, the doctors, and my dog Lady pup. Especially with seizures, brain trauma, and blood loss, it was all really terrifying. I still cannot believe I'm here, I am really grateful. I am so glad Rich was there, and Rob is still with us. This was a really beautiful and funny episode .:-)
Thank you for speaking about trains and cars. My good friend is an engineer and he's hit cars twice. It's always so much worse than a car accident and it is horrible for the engineer because they have a difficult time getting over it. I had a patient a few years ago that I had to rebuild her entire smile because of the injury to her face when a train hit her car. She was lucky to survive. It took about 8 dental implants and a full arch bridge. About $45,000 worth of work. That right there should make anyone think twice about beating a train!
I had no idea that Rob had a hard lire. Him meeting Dick Speight was the best thing that could have happened to him. It’s a friendship that should have been. He’s a great musician and a good family man. I love his music and his outlook on his life.😊
I enjoyed listening to the 3 of you when you were on their podcast and also when Rob was on IOU a few years back so I’m sure I’ll enjoy this one as well! Getting ready to watch now! Love you, Rosey!! 😘💙
Man this got me emotional. My grandpa just died of a stroke few months ago and his name was also Rob funny enough. I had to take a few breaks watching this... This was a good episode and I'm glad I got to watch and listen to his story about the stroke.
Wow. Powerful episode. Was moved to tears by the Rob stroke story. What a testament to Friendship.❤️. I have already watched this episode twice. Amazing.

Another great Tuesday with Rosey. Always love listening to your realness and the things you struggle with. The grounded humility is beyond helpful and so needed. Much love and hopefulness to you all! #lovethatsunspinshirt
Rob and Rich are great! This interview really was a rollercoaster of emotions. So great to see you get to the heart of these underrated actors. Also this idea of God and Loki standing in a stroke center just blew my mind. Would love to see more guests from these kinds of shows; Smallville, Supernatural, Buffy, OC
These two are amazing. They are two of the funniest and most loving guys on the planet. I'd go to a convention that was just the two of them all weekend.
@@CrzyDemona I did, to the FBI Computer Crimes dept. Also to the National Elderly Fraud dept. I hate scammers. They steal from those already having a hard time financially.
God was looking over Rob that day and sent Richard to help him. I am so glad that this turned out well! And that he's doing so well! I will forever love these two.
This podcast is amazing 🤩 love these guys but this story about robs stroke was very moving and loving hearing all of their stories and hearing the laughs this made my day and 😊. Supernatural was my favorite 🤩 show and my supernatural family. Thank you for these amazing guesses every week 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹Ryan is incredible and amazing too.
I absolutely love Rob and Rich. I have been a fan of Supernatural from the day it premiered and these guys were two of my faves. What an amazing story. Grateful Rich trusted his gut and the confidence in his friendship to know something was wrong with Rob. ❤️🖤❤️
Wow great episode guys! That stroke story made me tear up, I'm so glad Rich followed his instincts and took Rob to the hospital. Rob's recovery is truly inspiring ❤️
I've loved Rob Benedict since Felicity. I always thought he was cute, but his joke delivery was unmatched..lol It really broke my heart hearing what they went through together, but mainly Rob relearning to talk. They're both so funny, I'm so glad they found each other. Had no idea Rob is with RUTH aka ROWENA???!!!!🤩🤩🤩
Great one! I really enjoyed this. Thank you for the medical reminder to always play it safe. It's similar with mental health and safety. If you aren't sure you can keep yourself safe or if you are concerned for a friend, there are hotlines you can call or you can even go to the ER for an assessment.
This was another amazing podcast, thank you. It hit harder; I had a bad reaction to Medication and went into anaphylactic shock. If someone hadn't caked 911 and gotten me to the hospital, the ER dr said I'd been dead within 20 mins. What this complicates now, is the risks of taking vaccines...esp covid. It's all very terrifying.
I wish these interviews were live streamed. Or maybe they are and I'm just never able to catch them in time. But if not it'd be an opportunity for fans of yours and your guest to interact via superchats and stuff. I digress, this was great show! I love the cast of supernatural and it's great seeing some of the other big names on that show. Keep up the great work, cheers!
Rob's stroke story was very moving, it is hard and a little scary to talk about because: it becomes real. I had 3 mini strokes myself in 2018 and I was only 60 years old. I lost my speech and found myself in ICU hooked up to all kinds of machines, intubated with my family and children being told that I might not wake up. I recovered although I do have balance issues and can't always find words. During my CT scans, MRI they found an aneurism which is now being monitored.
On the stroke story, the symptom he's talking about is called aphasia. It's a very common symptom of strokes and aneurysms. Numbness, one one side of the body, or paralysis of one side of the body are also common symptoms.
I love this interview! I enjoy Rich and Rob so much AND I enjoy Michael, so this match up is the best! Can't wait to listen to Michael on their podcast. 🥰
Ok guys, rally around. This has to be one of your best podcasts that I have ever heard. The conversation flowed, the heart stopping telling of a stroke that occurred when everyone had just passed it off as him being tired. If anything comes out of this pandemic, it is that life is frigging important. Do something that gives your life importance. Don't treat it like a ball that gets thrown into the middle of a highway, bc freeways are also known as bye-ways and there is no coming back from that. I'm so proud of all of you guys. You shared a very important message that could save more lives. It shared a message that stuck to that wall of ignorance that we just watched flail during the insane Spring Break insanity, causing the Covid numbers to go up. Don't be like those, be like the conversation we just heard. Great Show all of you!
@@robbenedict8040 No insult intended, but did you just send a cut and paste reply, the same reply sent to whomever gave a supportive comment? A hint for the future- two sincere words mean more than paragraphs, sent to everyone. P. S. - I don't go to hangouts. Too many sleezy balls. I prefer an inner sense of class.
@@revkaelenelord He's obviously a fake, I'm pretty sure the real Rob doesn't do that sort of thing. It would be funny, if only he didn't ask for private contact. Anyway, these are not things he should do because someone might be tricked into it.
@@dianalee9557 It's when they ask to have you contact them on WhatsApp or Hangout. Known for loose security measures and a notorious pick up page. I have received messages from many celebrities to contact them there. They may even be ID thieves. So I never take the chance. This one left the same messages to many women. That was the red sign for me.
Great conversation. Thank you so much. I liked Rich’s advice at the end. It’s so true. You need to follow your gut and err on the side of caution. In 2010 I was having extreme abdominal pain. I do have endometriosis and IC, so I was living in pain. This was different pain. I told my boyfriend at the time that something was wrong. He brushed it off as an endo or IC flare. It was hard to disagree. We sat through a movie at a theater and I barely made it through, and barely made it back to the car. We got home and I was in tears. He still didn’t really care, and he went to bed. At 1am I woke him up and said “you have to take me to the ER, or I’m calling an ambulance.” He took me, they did a CT and found my appendix was near rupturing. They prepped me for surgery, and luckily removed it before it burst. Had I waited longer it could have been dangerous. Trust your gut.
@@revkaelenelord absolutely. I was able to tell right away it was a scam. They’ve been commenting nonstop on everyone’s comments. I hope no one falls for it.
@@penguinvsminja Me too. I've even reported them to the FBI's Computer Crimes dept and the National Elder Fraud division in Washington DC. Glad to see that you are a smart lady too! They must think women are stupid, bc they only approached women. They don't know us very well, do they? Lol.
OMG Rich I love you so much. And overall guys, you both are just stunning ! You are walking inspiration. We love you and thank you so much for just being you!!!
Thank you Rob, this gave me a lot of hope for my sons.. I broke it off with their father and left to go to rehab in his homecountry and 3 months after he was done he just decided to find a new girlfriend in his home country, move in with her and play daddy to her kids. Our oldest son was 1,5 when he left and our youngest was 2 months and he hasn’t seen them since. So I’ve been really worried about their mental health when it comes to being abandoned by their father.
@@revkaelenelord I know, which is why I never replied.. There are a lot of them out there and they always want you to contact them on hangouts. 🤦🏼♀️ like any celeb would do that 🤣 But this account isn’t, so it is possible that Rob reads the comments every now and then..

@@revkaelenelord 🤣 I don’t get how they think that’ll work...like, why would Robert Benedict or Johnny Depp ask people to contact them on hangouts and ask them for money? It’s not like they don’t have any money 🤦🏼♀️
@@ninachr When he started giving fake info about Rob, I knew then. But when he said he was hiding out on his studio bc his wife scared him and then said he left his wallet at home and needed 700$, not the way we write money here, I knew he was a con man. I kept him on awhile and took consistent screen saves of the conversation. I kept him on as long as I could. I am disabled and on SSI AND HE CONTINUED TO ASK! HE'S A MILLIONAIRE, AND JUST WOULDN'T DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! I just wanted to make sure that none of Michael's fans got taken in.

Some will say... Richard was Rob's angel in disguise.
I need you to message me on Hangout less chat and know more about each other.

discovered this podcast as a result of a supernatural interview and have been listening ever since. so many of my favorite actors. so cool to see they're lovely people.
This episode was incredible, love Rob & Rich so much and to hear the stroke story made me cry all over again 😢
Saw this pop up and I don’t think I have been this happy in awhile! I absolutely love Rich and Rob! Thank you Michael!
I swear to God this podcast is damn good. It's my go to. Feels like therapy for free. Thanks Michael

This episode was incredible!! That story about Rob was crazy!! -- so glad he's okay now though, Just wow man wow!
Chuck/God and Gabriel meet Lex👍 Another amazing episode Michael 💙
this was great, glad he could share about his stroke as well.
becoming more aware about medical conditions and what we can do about them is always a plus.
That's a powerful story. My old lady had a seizure while napping. Now I'am forever on alert.
Glad you enjoyed it! 💙
I never knew Rob had a stroke. I'm glad he's ok!
This was great. It’s kind of weird seeing Michael with hair after all those years of seeing him on Smallville without it.

I'm so glad Robert recovered and i'm also glad Richard had the mental wherewithal to understand that something was wrong and get him help.
There's something really amazing about having all my favorite people in one video.
Awesome! As usual, looking forward to listening later. I’m a fan of both these men, so it should be a good listen!
you'll love it then. great stories from these two
I had no idea that Rob had a hard lire.
Kings of Con is one of my favourite shows ever. It cracks me up every time I watch it.
The "Dad" talk here is amazing - wow. It hit me in the feels
I've been to 3 SPN conventions and Rich & Rob are one of the highlights every time.
Wow. Powerful episode. Was moved to tears by the Rob stroke story. What a testament to Friendship.❤️. I have already watched this episode twice. Amazing.

By far my favorite episode. EXCELLENT job by all. Totally feel like I could be friends with all 3 of these guys.

I did, to the FBI Computer Crimes dept. Also to the

Looks like they've all been cleared from Michaels page
God was looking over Rob that day and sent Richard to help him. I am so glad that this turned out well! And that he's doing so well! I will forever love these two.
Absolutely love these two guys! They are awesome!
This guy is so lucky getting to interview the whole spn cast! Amazing!!!
Great episode Michael! Proof everyone needs a Rich in their life. Also, I love that you had them both on at the same time.
Great one! I really enjoyed this.
Thank you for the medical reminder to always play it safe. It's similar with mental health and safety. If you aren't sure you can keep yourself safe or if you are concerned for a friend, there are hotlines you can call or you can even go to the ER for an assessment.
OMFG!!!! Thanks for this
You bet! 💙
The Trickster and Chuck! I'm sure this will be interesting
I've been to a few SPN conventions and they always crack me up. They are so funny together. This was a great podcast!
LOVE Rich and Rob, they really make my days and their friendship is awesome.

Love love love Rob and Rich.
What a fantastic episode 👏 ❤!! I never really heard the stroke story from Rich's perspective. What a friendship Rob and have🤩.
so much luv the way Michael say the publicity , good relax voice , it relaxes me lol
im glad you and youre podcast are doing well all the best
Rob's stroke story was very moving, it is hard and a little scary to talk about because: it becomes real. I had 3 mini strokes myself in 2018 and I was only 60 years old. I lost my speech and found myself in ICU hooked up to all kinds of machines, intubated with my family and children being told that I might not wake up. I recovered although I do have balance issues and can't always find words. During my CT scans, MRI they found an aneurism which is now being monitored.
His voice is so calming
On the stroke story, the symptom he's talking about is called aphasia. It's a very common symptom of strokes and aneurysms. Numbness, one one side of the body, or paralysis of one side of the body are also common symptoms.
oh this episode brings tears
Amazing guests, amazing episode! Would absolutely love to see them on the podcast again!
I love these two guys and really enjoyed them in SPN and their Kings of Con show!
Respect to Richard 👑 for saving Rob's Life! ✨👍

No insult intended, but did you just send a cut and paste reply, the same reply sent to whomever gave a supportive comment?
A hint for the future- two sincere words mean more than paragraphs, sent to everyone.
P. S. - I don't go to hangouts. Too many sleezy balls. I prefer an inner sense of class.

He's obviously a fake, I'm pretty sure the real Rob doesn't do that sort of thing.
It would be funny, if only he didn't ask for private contact.
Anyway, these are not things he should do because someone might be tricked into it.

It's when they ask to have you contact them on WhatsApp or Hangout.

Me too. I've even reported them to the FBI's Computer Crimes dept and the National Elder Fraud division in Washington DC. Glad to see that you are a smart lady too! They must think women are stupid, bc they only approached women. They don't know us very well, do they? Lol.

There are a lot of them out there and they always want you to contact them on hangouts. 🤦🏼♀️ like any celeb would do that 🤣
But this account isn’t, so it is possible that Rob reads the comments every now and then..
@@ninachr I've been in contact with this person and forwarded it onto the FBI Computer Crimes dept. On the second day, this guy asked for $700. Actually they wrote 700$.
@@revkaelenelord 🤣 I don’t get how they think that’ll work...like, why would Robert Benedict or Johnny Depp ask people to contact them on hangouts and ask them for money?

But when he said he was hiding out on his studio bc his wife scared him and then said he left his wallet at home and needed 700$, not the way we write money here, I knew he was a con man. I kept him on awhile and took consistent screen saves of the conversation. I kept him on as long as I could. I am disabled and on SSI AND HE CONTINUED TO ASK! Wow...what an intense story about Rob's stroke.

I loved this episode, Your show is one of the highlights of my week. I listen to it at work and helps my day move along swiftly. I love it when actors from my favorite shows are friends in real and form lasting friendships for life.
