  • This video shows you how to examine and replace the engine air filter on your 2015-2022 Chevy Colorado. This video shows a 3.6L V6 model, but it will likely be similar for a 2.5L Inline 4 cylinder gas or the 2.8L Duramax Diesel models as all these engines have the same airbox.

    DUDE! How do you get the dat-blamed cover back on!? I got it off and replaced the filter, but am having a hard time getting over the rubber fringe to re-insert the three plastic "fingers".

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  2 роки тому

      It’s a tight fit. Once you have the three fingers in place you should be able to just lower the cover down onto the filter. And it creates a seal against the rubber. It’s meant to be tight.

    I bought a Napa Gold Air filter. Only (1) of the (4) screws screwed in all the way tight. The other 3 are spinning in place. It looks and feels solid on there. Anyone else have the issue of the screws spinning forever?

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  4 місяці тому

      The bottom of the air box has threaded holes in plastic. If the screws are over tightened the threads can be stripped out. Sounds like that’s what happened here. I would advise only using hand tools on those screws.

    • @fondupot
