The basic difference between i5 and i7 is just the i5 lacking of HyperThreading. Since you dont need HyperThreading for gaming (some will perform a little bit better with it, some will perform worse) the i5 will do fine. I just mentioned overclocking because the i5 2400 has low clocks to start with and it has LOTS OF overclocking capability. Buy the i5 - its great. I have an i7 because i do video rendering as well, and stuff like that benefits from HyperThreading.
Well, its far above the minimum system requirements. Since GW2 is still a little bit more CPU-dependant as one would like, with a little bit of overclocking it´ll do just fine i think, just to be sure.
