Hi, thanks for the video. A quick question. How do I give audio input from the audio mixer or can I choose audio from a specific camera continuously even if I switch between.
    Thank You.

with the audio, you cant use Lv mic like a Rode. That would give you two mics into the input

You definitely could throw a y-splitter on there and get two channels, but the latency issues would still be there. Until they address it, I just go through the closest camera. The latest Podcast mixers from Tascam and Rode both have audio delay built into them, so I might eventually go that route. The other thing about the splitter method is it puts one left and the other right. That’s fine for something that I will do post production with, but not ideal for live.

You’re welcome! It’s a bummer, especially since that would be a prime archive format.

@@brentwpowell I have a few Ninja Vs, the workaround is the bring an another one just to record the program out in h265 which is additional gear to bring.

@@AmazeStudios I've thought about the new Zato Connect, but it records h.264. I haven't heard a ton of positive reviews yet though. I'm still hoping some firmware comes down the pipe that will make the CAST more usable in my productions.

Any news after 8 months? Any changes so far? Planing to change my rigs atm

Nothing new to report. My initial recommendations still stand, if you have a Ninja V or V+, and the limitations don't bother you, It's not a bad way to go. Otherwise for a live multicam/streaming rig, a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro or Pro ISO, might be a better fit. Also look at the YoloLiv products, they seem like they could offer a sweet spot for some.

Sounds like this is almost ready... But not purchase worthy yet. I wish there was a decent all in one compact streamer/recorder that was truly standalone. The ninja cast touts itself as standalone, but you still need a pc to stream it.
Sigh. My vmix rig is great for larger streams... But I need a good low footprint multicam streaming rig that I can throw in my camera bag.
    Maybe yolobox pro?

With Atomos adding the Connect lineup of streaming capable devices, it's extra confusing. They had an opportunity to make something that both served the Ninja/Shogun line of monitor/recorders and worked with the CAST to enable a small footprint streaming rig. I usually end up using the ATEM Mini Pro, but I've been seeing some nice things about the YoloLiv lineup for all-in-one devices. Aaron Parecki has quite a few resources about that lineup.
I still have uses for the CAST though, I like it a bit more for non-live multicam where I want it more as a reference monitor for multiple angles, but can still strike a quick edit to show clients.
