I hope anton does something to the attachments in T&H because it sucks trying to roll for a sight and getting ironsights for a completely different gun. Or wanting a grip and getting a stock for some random weird ass gun.
im pretty sure there are some dark areas on institution if not, there needs to be a dark TnH map or expansion to institution thats geared towards stealth and darkness
If Anton is "lazy" then most devs have some glacial level productivity. This is fantastic, H3VR continuing to save me untold magnitudes of ammo costs. Can't wait for this to get released, hope it gets some of the commercially LAMs, illuminators, and other accoutrements (see Hops' videos for some inspirations).
I send these devlogs to my friend sometimes and tonight he told me "I like him because he's passionate about what he's making and it shows" and I couldn't agree more :D

Your attention to detail with the NODs and Thermals is something I'm really looking forward to! Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting the fidelity you've showcased, but boy am I happy to be surprised. I don't know why I even doubted, considering the other systems in the game. The previous devlog updates (like the new lasers) makes me even more excited to toy around with this.
I just want to also say, I am sooo unbelievably appreciative of how well you have made h3 run on lower hardware, my laptop is literally scraping 1% under minimum for VR, and it runs H3 like a breeeze, it’s an RTX2050 and a i5 11400h. Thanks again!

I gotta say, the noise and blur on those thermals make them look super realistic. As in, it looks like you're viewing real objects through the thermal vision.
Or at least have a very reduced signature. Zero doesn't make total sense, considering that they're clearly animated to some extent. Even if it's just viral or bacterial, the minimum energy requirements for movement should generate some minor thermal body heat, even if it's significantly less than a regular living being/mammal.

this is something I've been wanting since I got the game, I cant believe its here!! This will be AMAZING on some modded SR maps that have day night cycles. I also hope there is a super dark T&H map to accompany these, even if its Classic Hallways or Institution with the lights off or Northest Dakota at night. You are doing awesome work on this game Anton, it's without a doubt my favorite VR game I own!
Thanks for continuing to develop this game. As others have said best $20 I've ever spent. Thanks for continuing to work on full simulations. I think it's ok that the CPU/GPU requirements continue to grow as you are offering a solid concreate discernable reason for that increase as opposed to most every other game.

Just played h3vr again after a few months and man did you make changes :D So much to check out! Even adding to the take and hold map!? You pretty much made half-life 3 in vr xD seriously got the vibe for it. And all the new toys to play with... gonna take me weeks to even just try everything out xD
Neat! I believe the term for not being able to see past something bright, like a streetlight or fire, is called photonic barriers. The fusion/ECOTI/thermal NV is actually really neat and not many games make use of it, I've been playing around with some modded SP tarkov and was thinking about how neat it would be to implement something like that, since thermals don't work through glass and makes red dots basically useless, (there are some near-IR thermal like systems that can see through glass though), but making thermals more fit into the role of a "cue-ing sensor", like to look at that bush more closely because there's thermal energy coming from it. Keep up the good work, anton!

Not sure if you're aware of this, but glow sticks aren't supposed to be visible with thermal sensors. The amount of heat they generate is negligible.
Omg thank you anton. I love thermal vision. Awhile ago I got myself a thermal camera with like 320x240 resolution at 9 fps. Pitiful stats for a camera, but just can't get better without spending a lot of money that needs justification. Anyways your game is amazing, I love how realistic you try to get your game. I was amazed by your recent scope update. It tought me things that I didn't even know existed. There isn't a game developer I'm more happy to see announce "thermal scopes" for their game than you. I just know your going give the love and attention to detail it deserves, and you already are by providing generations/degrees of thermal and night vision tech.
