This is the most fun interaction in ME2, bringing legion along with the tali mission.
The build is leading to some choices you don't see often, so that's nice!

I fucking love her. When I replayed ME 2 for the first time after having watched The Expanse, recognizing her voice again made me so happy.

Well, he decided to play a fence-sitter.
Technically he still can broke peace, he needs to destroy the heretics in legion loyalty mission, he needs to resolve the argument between Tali and legion with paragon or renegade, do almiral korris mission and save almiral korris. Usually the last two are secondary but because he fuck up Tali's loyalty mission he must do all this for peace to be possible

Josh, You can still play this like an RPG. You can tell your companions where to go and to use abilities....if you want them to flank and enemy, you can.

Josh talking about the build reminds me, in dark souls 2 having all stats equal was an actual thing called a mundane build.
Josh doesn't actually remember the old days where you slapped omni gel on everything, just the not quite so old days of playing lots of 3D Frogger. Ironic, given the adamant dialogue.
i just replayed all 3 ME titles in 10 days. and now im afraid Josh will have a hard time with ME3
I mean he didn't get all 20 Dog Tags so the bad ending was already guaranteed.
This playthrough is definitely rough and hard to watch.
But it keeps things interesting, you don't often see these mistakes made after a first playthrough.

Point of interest - the use of "Daddy" and to a lesser extent "Mommy" as a seductive thing dates back to at least the nineteen twenties and has a number of songs about it from that era.
Given it's popularity in showtunes then, it had likely been around for a while before that.
Most likely, the desire to call someone/have someone call you that 'Title' is as old as any other...preference (this is a minefield to navigate for youtube)...and the only thing that has changed is the language used to describe it.
It's not something I particularly get either, but it's definitely not new in a seductive sense.
What may be more of a younger generation thing is the tendency to 'ironically' say it to people they consider general role models or just...cool.
Like how Josh goes merrily through main story missions designed to be easily beat even on veteran difficulty and as soon as he gets to DLC gets obliterated :D
Like the guy and I know streaming and playing can be hard but goddamn. Stop being such a noob and charging to the group of enemies just to be cross-fired and not using enviroment at all.
For real. Like shoot the eletric boxes ffs. Also, hide behind the right cover! It's a difficult fight unti you just, you now, shoot the electrical boxes constantly. Oh and use abilities.
I too have a balanced build in Elden Ring have just about every stat at level 50 bringing me to a total of about 303
