As I load this video i want to start with this: I started GW2 a few months back based on one of your older reviews. I enjoyed the game so much I bought all expansions along with the full GW1 to play on the in between. Almost 1000hrs into these game and I plan on much more. How are you liking GW1? I still play it and will as long as the servers stay up, but I have never been able to convince myself to like GW2. Which is why I'm watching this video. I want to play GW2, but I always log out, and go to GW1 for some reason. I was so pumped about GW2 release that I pre ordered GW2, and drove half an hour to my nearest gamestop, and waited for them to open so I could get my pre ordered copy. Only to hate it less than two hours in.

The two things I took away from this video are: 1 - GW2 = Pretty durn good overall - all things considered 2 - Why the frack not just do a 3 way triangle of vertical peices of bread in the ninja cooker...? (they would hold themselves up and no bendy-bread or butter-trough)
I bought GW2 the day you tweeted about it on Nov 24th, played it pretty much daily since. Messed about on different characters before settling (for now) on a human necromancer. Still need to get hold of the living world packs and SOTO, not rushing through it though, just enjoying the world. :)
Gw2 is such a great game that it makes me sad that their marketing doesn't seem to reach the way it's supposed to. 10 years of almost no marketing will do that though i guess.

Don't ever open those daily login rewards, you'll never get them again! They removed the daily system and replaced it with something closer to a battle pass without all the negative things associated with a battle pass.
Because there's nothing to do in it. Raids are abandoned for over 8 years. Dungeons are abandoned for almost 12 years. Pvp is dead since 2016. WvW is dead for almost 12 years. GW2 is what we call a polished turd. I looks good on the outside, but when you try to play the game, it offers NOTHING. This is the reason why the game is known to be a meme across the mmo community, and its never changing for the better.

Its the worst kind of content this game has had since launch. Logging in into an 11yo game to do world events for some greens and blues is beyond ridiculous.
Plot? Hard to pinpoint a single plot, considering the game banks on "evolving" story telling. Vanilla days of GW2 dont exist and new ppl now would never see that part again. So hard to say if it has a concrete plot that one can tell another. It can change at any moment the developers decide to take the story to a different expected direction. Seen this makes me nostalgic, but not enough to play again >.> I do miss pvp and launching cows from a trebuchet though, tons of fun.
Everytime I have to sit there and listen to some of the NPCs babbling for minutes just to get through the story I just want to quit again. They really need to make it possible to fully ignore every bit of narrative. It is SO bad.. Also: "Plays: Guild Wars 2" -> Half the video is the Stream Setup, then its half an hour GW2 and the rest is FFXIV lmao
This is the worst mmo that is currently on the market. Literally supported with quarterly Welfare checks of $5000 sent in by NCSoft. Stay far away from this garbage if you care about playing new content in a video game cuz game support is not something GW2 knows about.

@@Jeebus-un6zz Did you pay attention to the earnings from the SOTO expansion? Its as if the expasion was never released, it made no effect on the game. This only happens in games that people log in on autopilot, and don't give a shit about what's happening in it. And you seriously though they wouldn't be making anything with their shitty loot boxes and now the season pass? They're printing the bare minimum, and as soon as it falls below minimum, ncsoft will shut them the fuck down, and which i expect to happen in 2025 or 2026 by the latest.
