@@dummydummer6169 because making the player go into melee range to recover HP is just good game design when you want them to play aggressively. you also don't need to do a *melee* attack just to recover health; any blood splatter will heal you, and some of the most powerful weapons will produce copius amounts of it
the rest of it takes a lot more inspiration from spectacle fighters (the style meter in particular), and other boomer shooters where freedom of movement and skill-based gameplay is paramount, which is also where doom eternal gets most of its game design from

There's actually an Easter egg with Mark in it. There's a place called "Tomb of the Kings" and if you break open one of the caskets it has a skeleton with a familiar pink moustache! Really wished Mark played more of this
I’ve seen that! What are you supposed to do with the blue skull tho? You can’t pick it up without putting the torch down, but if you do, the only place you can do so is where the skull needs to go.

That's what I was thinking. It's challanging enough even when I have the revolver, the shotgun, the nailgun and the railgun that I sometimes fail before the final wave in the video.

It's in early access and it doesn't update very often. Sure he can try to do minos prime, but it will be better if he plays it after release.

Coin railgunning, Nailgun overheat swapping, quick projectile boosting, and the game isn't even fully finished yet, and people already have become gods at ultrakill. I think it would be good if that Mark would revisit the game to see the absolutely amazing lore and try to pull of all the crazy shit that the cool players can do.

I'd have to agree, coming back and rewatching this video after sinking at least 100 hours in the game. Marksman with the secret revolver is stupidly powerful if you can hit the coins consistently enough. I think they can even reflect Railgun shots, but I've yet to confirm that.
@@darkstorm_omega they can. Coins can also deflect malicious face beams and punches if you get the timing right. They can even be used to detonate shotgun core ejects from far away.
@@darkstorm_omega marksman with slab should only be used on bosses. it's too slow otherwise
@@YourPoopDealer when you deflect a malicious face's beam back at them, it give the charge back to the style, really cool watching people do that
@@darkstorm_omega the coins are actually better on the standard revolver. the slab only does extra damage, but the standard splits coins if you time it right, doubling the damage output while keeping the same firing speed

Also you basically learn how to defeat enemies from the 2nd layer, like 2 worlds ahead with just the stock, you're pretty darn good man.
i love how as the game progresses you start fighting bosses as normal enemies. even though you don't get "upgraded" you slowly figure out how the game works and bosses become easy
Malicious face was a problem for me in the cyber grind for a bit. I went into the sandbox and experimented a bit and found out he's extremely weak to the shotgun
Now it only takes an almost fully pumped shotgun shot and a punch with the knuckleblaster and it's shockwave to kill
You can kill them super quickly with the right combination of weapons

Gonna be the lore person who points out that Prelude is actually not *in* Hell but a resource-extraction facility that Humanity built directly *outside* of Hell. 0-5 (the last level of Prelude) is the gates, “Abandon hope, all ye who enter” and all! So when V1’s boot-up sequence says “approaching hell,” it doesn’t mean that V1 is approaching Hell during the sequence, and arrives once the 0-1 begins, but rather that moving through levels 0-1 to 0-5 in Prelude is the approaching process. Without spoiling too much, after beating 0-5, things start to look *really* different, and that’s when things really get fun.

Mark, PLEASE replay this game once it is fully released. You have already proven to be VERY good in the short time you played and even accidentally pulled off some "projectile boosts" (when you punch your own shotgun pellets just as they come out the barrel). This game is nuts and you will love it.

Heyyy, they’re different in their own ways even with similar concept. They’re boomer shooters and they got their own charms, and different people like those different charms better. Let’s not start another war about it.

Of course, it cannot. There are a shitton of people who want Mark to play not just Act 2, but to play beyond the prelude, which hasn't even been completed.
