      Thanks. Lot of months wondering how it would really look versus sketches.

    Beautiful job on the conversion. I'm often at Cars & Coffee of the Upstate with my '68 Cougar, and missed seeing your car when you brought it up to show.

      Would absolutely like to connect. Since C&C started I have only made it twice. Despite me changing the Cougar, I appreciate the original ones, and look forward to seeing yours.

      @@vintagemobilehome2685 I liked your video on the silver blue '66 Mustang hardtop. During the late '70s, I bought one just like it except 3-speed manual from a used car dealer on Canal St. in New Orleans.

    A truly great and insightful design. Nicely integration at the rear quarter window . . . Smart move to extend the roof.

    Great work Keith. Thanks for the detailed explanations; that really helped me understand the complexity of what you've done in beautifully grafting together two design concepts into one unique and really cool looking sports car!

    Saw this yesterday at Cars & Coffee. Love it! I have a friend up there w/a light blue '68 Cougar w/black vinyl top he shows regularly there, it's a beautiful survivor w/relatively low miles, he's a member of the AACA and I think he's the current chapter president. I sent him my photos of your car as he is traveling overseas. You may or may not know him.

    Were you at Cars & Coffee in Laurens today? My husband was there with his 62 Beetle, and was telliing us about a Cougar fastback. We have a 67 Cougar we are hoping to rebuild soon.

      Yes. I did not see the Beetle. Most people know where I live. Stop by sometime. Besides the bug, I'd enjoy talking about your Cougar

    Another thought: I would have replaced the rear quarter panel "potmetal" extensions with sheetmetal -- thereby eliminating the panel line break. Otherwise, perfect design!

    • @stevemiller7654
      @stevemiller7654 6 місяців тому

      Leaving those extensions helps retain the OEM illusion of this build.

    What year is the mustang roof that was used 67-8 or 69-70? Thx

    • @vintagemobilehome2685
      @vintagemobilehome2685  Рік тому

      Mustang 67-68 used for the roof panel. Then there is an extension to "stretch" the roof right after the windshield. Because of the longer wheelbase, a quarter window was incorporated. Thanks

    Any chance this can be shown at Fords at Carlisle in 2024 or has it already been there.

      It would be great to take it to a show, and that one seems impressive. However, I'd need to find something south of the Mason Dixon line.
