YES 👏👏👏 Such great info. My first multi-night trip was in oppressive heat and I had to bail. So many points you make are also lessons I learned in those three days. Thank you for sharing!
@@WanderingSwitchback I wish your videos had been around when I first started hiking. My first hike I didn't even carry a water bottle because I didn't know any better, and that was in Phoenix, in the summer! 😱😱😱 Hopefully you can save the modern day version of my ignorant self from something like that!
@@brisketchick I think we all make mistakes along the way, especially when it's new, but I am always learning from my mistakes that I still make! But yes, I really hope to keep people safer out there!
One of the most useful videos I've seen! Great work! I swear by the electrolyte powders. No more horrid leg cramps.! I went down a buff and put it around my neck but up on my head as well or over my hat. I also have removable sleeves that I can wet and put back on. What a huge difference these two things made in the heat. And there's nothing like taking a dip in a trout string to keep you cool for a long time. Haha. But seriously, I don't tolerate heat too well and her tips are wonderful.
I'm glad you found this helpful, and that you've figured out some stuff that works well for you! It can be miserable being too hot and outside, so any relief makes a difference!

I wrap one thigh with an ace bandage to prevent chafing
My thighs would still rub! 😂
