Because they are fond of eating chillies, and they thought Filipino chillies are not that hot 😆
I witnessed a situation like this at Gerrys Alabang. The koreans across our table probably thought they can handle the spiceness of "its just small chili" labuyo. One had to go to the bathroom to maybe spit it out, the other two just swallowed and finished their fruit shakes in less than 30secs and reordered. Lol
My dad used to eat Siling Labuyo (this type of chili) as a snack. Hahahaha! Crazy. He is a Bicolano. Most if not all Filipinos from the Bicol province love extra spicy food. I heard the smaller the chilli, the spicier it is. 😉

Philippine chili called Labuyo maybe small but it's very spicy. 5x or 10x spicier than korean chili.
I like Sisig on Gerry's Grill the best Sisig I've ever taste.

Tip ,if you eat spicy food ,which you didnt expect ,try to eat pinch of salt to mitigate the sting in your mouth .My Mexican friends taught me to do so, and it works!
