Hi Dave! Just stumbled upon your channel and i absolutely adore you! Love your personality and humor! Also, the reason why it was probably a bit runny (other than the extra butter) is that you should always let casseroles rest for about 10-15 minutes before serving. 😊

This looks super decadent and I was thinking that it might be neat to add some frozen vegetables too! I’m new here so I’ve only seen a couple of videos but they look awesome and also, I think whoever said you’re a dork was very wrong to say that. Keep doing what you’re doing and disregard the negative comments. Also, I have always been grossed out by cottage cheese too but I would use it in a casserole. Thanks!
My son came home from working out and was about to blend a smoothie while I was watching this video. He said, "warning, I'm about to blend my smoothie". I said, "warning, I'm going to make Dave's delicious casserole and you're going to eat it." He doesn't like casseroles, ha!

The pink (as you now know) would've been fine even cold, but since you were gonna cook it, you would've been totally fine. I hear ya on cottage cheese; not my fav, but cottage chz and canned peaches is pretty good. Due to the texture of the chz I'm not sure if I'd like it with fresh fruit, seems the not so good for you syrup helps out lol. But let.me.tell.you., I use it in my lasagna recipe with the ricotta, parm, & mozzarella, everyone who's had it says it's the best lasagna they've ever had. NO, NO, NO DON'T spray your cast iron, i came across and article about that last! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I, too, have looked up 3 different recipes for ‘Million Dollar Chicken Casserole’ this week when it caught my attention and all 3 recipes called for 4 cups of cooked chicken. And sweetie-look at your liquid measuring cup-it will teach you that 1 cup of liquid or semi liquid substance is EIGHT (8) OUNCES. SO 1 cup of cottage cheese equals 1-8 ounce container.
Hey Dave great show today. Can you do a wild game world's best recipe. Like Rabbit, Venison, or Pheasant. A Bison recipe would be fun to do as well. I made a Bison Brisket about six months ago and I followed the recipe from the farm that we got it from and it was real good.

I've had salmonella and it is not fun. I was in the hospital for a week before they even found out what was wrong with me. Actually was nearly dead before a doctor who knew what he was doing came.🤦♀️🤯
With most casseroles and even baked goods, as you let it cool for a little bit the item will "set up" and give you the intended texture.
my favorite topping is corn flakes and butter in a freezer bag and roll a rolling pin across it. use it for breakfast, lunch and dinner casseroles
