    The FMS is the best small crawler I have, just tackles things with ease. But I can see your end nothing but mud like here.

      Very wet and boggy here Mal. But leaves cover most of the ground in the woods. This was an uncovered patch of mud by the stream that was about 2 meters square and ideal for a micro mud run.

    Hi Derek, wow your modified Power Wagon made light work of that sticky mud terrain! Beautifully and smoothly captured by your good self - hope you had your wellies on mate! Looking forward to getting mine out in the woods soon (fnarr, fnarr!). All the best matey! 😁✌👍

    An absolutely beautiful run Derek. Love the look of that little truck and especially how well those red wheels goes towards the yellow body.

      Hi Nick. Thank you very much my friend. Now this little RC and your Honcho would make an interesting video. It could crawl in the tyre tracks the Honcho left in the mud !

    Such a cool little truck. Looks like a wild magical world with the long grass and water and the tiny truck. Surprised to see one without a driver. Usually you always have one. Watching with Junior now: he says ‘åhh den er sej”.

      Thank you Mikael. Yes, I usually fit a driver before I film an RC but I couldn't wait to test my new metal diff gears. The mud tyres and wheels come as stock with this RTR and I also wanted to try these in the mud too! Thank your son for me please, and tell him I think he is cool too 😀👍🏼🧡

    What a corker! I was hoping throughout that you were gonna head into the green lagoon. Too deep I guess..🙂👍🏻.

      Hello mate. Yes, too deep, but also I found out recently that the stream is a boundary to someone's property so I'm hesitant to run my RC's in there now. Thank you for watching, and a belated Happy New Year to you 😀👍🏼👍🏼

    Very nice mate. It stayed pretty clean for a mud run. I bet you were more muddy than the truck?

    • @hollyhillrc
      @hollyhillrc  Рік тому +1

      Funny you should say that Pete. I slipped and dropped my GoPro and gimbal in the wet mud. I wasn't too bad, just muddy hands and knees, and the GoPro wiped off easily enough. But my gimbal seized up on all 3 axis points because it was caked in mud. So I had to stop filming because my tripod also broke in the fall so I couldn't use that either. A lot of what you can see was sticky wet mud with mud covered leaves on top. which helped support the Power Wagon. That's why it didn't look too dirty when I finished filming. Everything has been cleaned and is working again now, except the tripod which was unrepairable.

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC Рік тому +1

      @@hollyhillrc oh dear that's a bit sad about the tripod but at least the rest of it works. This time of year is a bit troublesome. I get a bit fed up with cleaning the cars after a run. Roll on the summer when there is just a bit of dust!

      I bought a small portable electric Stanley air compressor a few years ago from Screwfix. It's the business. I wash off the mud from my RC's with water using the garden hose, then wipe off the worst of the water with kitchen towel. Then a good blast with the compressor dries them off nicely, and quickly. It dries those places you can't get to unless you strip it down. Then a squirt of WD on the electrics and a drop of oil on the bearings and it's good to go again. In the winter I leave them near a radiator in the house for the rest of the day to evaporate what ever moisture may be left before I put them away. The compressor's very useful to be blast away the dust from RC's in the summer too when water isn't needed. It's one of the best RC related tools I've bought over the past few years. I also regularly use it to blow out the dust from my desktop PC, keyboard, laptop, and the filters from our Dyson, and it's very handy to keep my motorbike and our car tyres at the correct pressure too. Well worth the £80 investment 🙂👍🏼👍🏼
