Thanks for watching guys! We are still deeply involved in trying to determine what the issue is, turns out the motherboard is fine... we will definitely follow up with performance figures and what the resolution is once we figure it out. Also, dont bother with the A320 board, I linked options for B350 which is a better board for about the same price.
I would suggest less "oops doesn't work" videos in the future. Please, try and solve everything out so we get the complete experience start to end. No one is pressuring you to pull the trigger on a video a few days earlier than needed.
same thing happend to me and the wired thing is, the power cable to the gpu was melted (I know there is no gpu in this pc) and not getting enough power. replaced it and it works great now
right? old HP and dell full tower workstations are cheap. recently picked up an HP 8200 elite for 130$ i7 2600 16gb of ram, 1tb HDD. i used it as a box to stuff drives in but i could easily throw a 1050ti in it nd have DIRT cheap gaming box
Bought a Dell Optiplex 790 for less than $80, it already had a Core i5 2400, 4 GB RAM, and a 1 TB HDD. Upgraded the RAM to 16, added a 250 GB SSD, and a GTX 1050 and had myself a decent system for ~$300. I’m eyeing up upgrading to an i7 sometime in the future as it’s actually a pretty substantial upgrade, as well as replacing the 1 TB drive with 2 2TB drives, plus the SSD.
I bought an optiplex 760 (pentium e5300, 4gb ram, 70 gb hdd) for $10 a month ago. I had no plans to use it as a gaming rig, but turns out it doesn't support 2-slot pcie cards so there goes that idea.
@@SebisRandomTech the i7-2600 is amazing btw, definitely would upgrade to that in the near future, check out hardware Canucks video the i7-2600k vs i7-8700k it was very good and I use an i7-2600 myself I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2600k or biting the bullet and getting an 8700k cause I do a little graphic design
mine was 730 including a 144hz, 1ms monitor, a rgb corsair kb&m and a personalised mousepad. -b450m gaming plus mobo -16gb 3000mhz patriot viper ram -ryzen 5 2600 -gtx 1060 6gb -550w corsair psu -4 fans, but they suck🤷🏼♂️
You want a video on how to drill some holes? And how to add extra heat to the system? I agree it looks great and saves space, but it's really counter-productive.
Jay I own a Ryzen 5 2400G and I had Windows 10 1709 and everything was working perfectly. But when I updated it to 1803 it started giving me that exact weird screen glitches but only in PUBG. I fixed it by reverting it to 1709, try it. Maybe it'll work for you.
AzzaN I have had 1809 issues on 3 computers, anything but yeah, amd gpu drivers definitely had to be updated for me on my main rig, nvidia for tripple monitor to work at all without capping itself and the Intel laptop bsod due to the ssd issue. Thanks Microsoft! You caused issues on all my systems and I don't see anything new or improved 😡
2200g owner here, I had to disable windows update service to make sure I dont get forced into 1803. Iv seen LOTS of issues with RR apu's in 1803 on /r/amd
Jay I really appreciate this video. I'm glad that you pretty regularly show your viewers that building PCs isn't always going to go super smoothly. "There will be a part 2" is encouraging that you will get it going.
+1 definitely appreciate mistakes, bloopers, and the other crap that can go wrong still included in the video. makes it for a more real world experience.
Hey @JayzTwoCents can you make a video on. "Bloatware" that we get from Windows? Like maybe which applications we can disable without hurting the system and/or improving performance? Much Thanks and keep up the great work!
i know i sound like an asshole but google it. I learned what is what by googling it. easy way is to just kill the task. Worst case scenario you need to restart your computer. just don't fuck around with registry and msconfig. Those are advanced stuff. If you decide to fuck around whit those, worst case scenarios is that you need to reinstall windows. btw for me things to uninstall: weather, and finance stuff. You have more access if you go from control panel. Also, DO NOT delete any stuff that's produced by Microsoft AND has c++ in it. also, you can't uninstall a lot if shit, as MS made it "foolproof". Also if you're on low end, disabling services might help, tho you can cause a lot of headache to yourself with that. With that said, you just need to reenable them and you're good to go. Now you mentioned it, i just disabled all service that hat "xbox" in it, as i don't use them. Cheers.
How? Windows rollback only works when there's something to roll back to. I'm guessing this was a clean install so he'll just be on whatever version he installed, and if he's like me he'll have used the media creation tool to have an up to date one before starting lol.
i understand the goal was to keep the price around 500 but the A320 chipset is kind of like cutting off your toes so the only pair of cheaper shoes in the store will fit, yeah you saved a little money but you just handicapped yourself. Having the ability to OC would be a huge improvement for the 2200G (i admit i bought an A320 board when i bought my 2200, it was a dirt cheap bundle pack) but i wish i had done more research and went with a B350 chipset instead (i did end up replacing the 320 with a 350) and it made a noticeable difference after OCing.
How is this build even under $500? Because he also has windows 10. That would of cost him $100 if he payed for it from Microsoft or he got a windows 10 key for cheap.
He didn't include the OS in the cost, which he says towards the end of the video. But even still, you wouldn't be getting this system for under £500 in the UK. That 20% VAT though...
I kinda feel like he should include the cost of the OS tbh. Do you think those $15-20 window 10 keys are safe and worth it? Or should i pay the full price..
i originally bought it with a 1200 almost 3 years ago and then down the line upgraded to a 1600af, the board kinda sucks lol. i can't run my memory at 3200mhz even with latest bios otherwise I get random freezes, got it to 3000mhz and seems stable enough ig. also can't throw in an nvme drive because no m.2 slot, not a huge issue tho cause i just put in a sata ssd in the end
I really like this type of video. Im kinda a newb and in the process of building a new system on a budget to get my foot in the door. And starting small with a good setup to be able to update later at a modest price point is really good for beginners. Because a starter pc is better than no pc
Your issue is your refresh rate. You mentioned the panel was 75hz. I bet the ryzen does not like that. I bet if make a custom resolution at say 65hz it won't do it. I ran into this with a 144hz msi monitor and gtx1060 for some reason I couldn't run it at 144 but could at 120 with no issues. Give it a try it's free I guess it's more of a band-aid than a fix
@@Devante0404 He wasn't talking about the monitors tested being at fault, he meant that the Ryzen Apu didn't probably like the refresh rate set. Most likely setting it at 60 would solve the problem since that's as compatibility mode as it gets.
I used to have this case! I painted the blue CD expansion slots red, it looked OE. Even replaced the blue fans with red fans from rosewill. Now i have a Thermatake P1 mounted on my wall. I even used the the 2 blue case fans left over and put them on the side cover to blow cold air on the GPU. It actually worked quite well.
Hobbes Caltous I am so happy you posted this, i just watched this and cringed, i had trouble focusing on anything but that, though to be fair he was having pronunciation issues the whole time. However, glad i wasn’t the only person.
Love this Rosewill mid tower case, I own two of them. Bargain price with all metal construction aside from the front panel. 9 fan mount points, none obstructed. Ultra wide so it fits just about any cooler.
Agreed. I built a G4560, 1060 3 GB, 8 GB DDR4, 1 TB HD, dual fan case, and 550 W 80+ Bronze power supply budget-gaming setup about a month ago for a total of about $450 out of a mix of on-sale and used parts, and it'll run everything I've tried so far at 1080p high-to-ultra at over 60 fps. That being said, if a person is concerned about warranties (especially given that the build might wipe out their pc budget for awhile), support, and all of that then maybe they would be willing to sacrifice some performance for peace of mind.
That sounds like a nice build. My recommendation instead of using the G4560 would to of been to use a 2nd gen i5 only because it's about 10 dollars cheaper and it's a quad core unlike the 4560. I got my used motherboard off ebay for like 50$ then I had an i5-2400 laying around when I took apart a dell pc (they're all over ebay for like 50$ as well) and let me tell you, Sandy Bridge still kicks ass in 2018 for it's age. I paired it with a gtx 1050ti and 8 gigs of ddr3. One of the best budget builds I've ever done. runs games 1080p 60fps on high to medium settings no problem.
My first build was with a Rosewill Challenger back in 2012. I know it wasnt the best case, but it was cheap and served me well for about 4 years. I have a large amount of love for the price of that case.
Used PC's have so much more value if you can but if you cannot this isn't half bad New and Used PC: Optiplex 790: Can be found with a 500gb hdd, 8gbs of RAM, and a i5 2400 - 50 Gtx 970 - 125 120gb SSD - 25 500w evga b stock psu - 10 Cheap 1080p monitor - 60 Cooler Master Devastator ii/iii - Was going on sale for 10 bucks for 3 months with a rebate Extended Mouse Pad - 10 $290 for almost 1060 performance These are used and new prices, but the new ones can be found on Reddit BuildAPCSales and the old can be found on Reddit hardware swap or Craigslist. There are millions of tutorials and people doing this to an optiplex on UA-cam, so if you are a first time builder, it's not too hard
xd Death69 It is used deals, not everyone can find it. However, if you search eBay and r/BuildAPCSales, you may be able to find it. But remember, you will need patience for all of these.
Hey! Kendomen ti case has 5 fans including two front intake LED fans. Or get the red version. It's $50 Canadian at Canada Computers right now. Should have also opted for a Seagate Firecuda SSHD. about $10 more and it's a hybrid drive much better performance.
Internal speakers are the single most useful diagnostic tool you can add to a board that lacks a code LCD. Being able to know what is wrong via beep code is the best thing ever.
Glad I bought my similar build before all these $500 vids came out. I ended up with B350 board R3 2200G RX580 8GB DDR4 2400 128GB SSD 2TB HDD 450W PSU Cooler Master Q300L $485
Me also but use Asrock b450m pro4 R5 2400g 16gb ddr4 2400mhz (2×8gb ddr4) 120gb ssd pioneer Cheap case with 500watt psu included Cheap 5000dpi gaming mouse Cheap fantech backlit keyboard k10 hunter And it cost me $500.
I've seen others do similar builds, yet I don't understand buying an AMD apu and a graphics card. Could you explain to me why you would do this as opposed to buying say a 1600 or a 2600 with said card?
JayzTwoCents I believe the RX 560 actually crushes the vega integrated. I have one (the 4gb) and its equal (neck and neck) to the 1050 ti. I think you meant RX 550, not 560. The RX 550 is a little slower than the GT 1030 but about the same. Thats just MY two cents.
How do you know this? It wasn't at release, but since driver improvements it has evened out. How would you know, do you own one? They are extremely similar.
Od1sseas in my case it's faster, I have a heavily oced version that matches the ti. But yeah I guess you're right. It's deffinitely not a long shot though, they are pretty close.
I had a 1070 G1 Gaming (180w of wattage) with an EVGA 500w PSU for like... 8 months? And I bought the PSU back on december of 2016 Worked with no problems at all, though I undervolted the video card down to 0.950mV (didn't lose any performance since I left the core clock at 2025MHz and the max wattage was of 160w, averaging 140/145w) Now I have an EVGA 650 BQ, they make perfect products!
The problem was most likely unstable ram oc. The artifacts are normally seen with unstable vram oc. Since you have an apu, i'd assume it's the unstable dram.
best thing about theses videos even if they don't work is people are most likely looking to upgrade for cheap and you can carry over your monitors, ssd's or hard drives, mouse keyboard and even power supply if needed i would say so that's always a big plus
It is a tiny monitor lol. My main screen is a cheap 28 inch 4k60 one... which isn't *that* cheap I suppose compared to 1080p stuff, then again I use it more for productivity so the real estate is more valuable than it no ghosting, high refresh colour calibrated shizzle which may be more important for just gamez.
Hi, I had the same problem with my R7 1700X, and it was the memory, even when running it on stock speed. Replaced the memory module and it worked flawlessly.
I've been running an overclocked 2200g and 1060 6gb for 2 years now and honestly it's been fantastic for 1080p High-Ultra gaming. I'm finally upgrading though to a 3600x and 5700 xt and I'm super excited.
Rare Ted not quite , ram can be unpredictable , it can even make your PC to turn off ,,on it's own" and I have seen such thing happening back before to me , more and different ram fixed it (no bios signs ), but it could be a lot of things
Jay, you need more voltage. Try plugging it into a 220 volt outlet and bypass the power supply, which isn't really even needed. Just connect the bare wires to the motherboard somewhere.
JayzTwoCents : it's the Ryzen Vega 8/11 driver that is not coliding with the build version of Windows 10 properly. You have 2 ryzen vega drivers and one Adrenaline v1.8.5.1. Try them all....from my experiences with my 2400G two deticated drivers prior to Adrenaline v1.8.5.1 worked properly with build v1709....but when build v1803 came out these problems arose. It's a windows 10 problem unfortunately.
I beg to differ, its amd problems.... Thats why despite using AMD system i've never suggested any of my friends to buy an AMD system unless they know how to uninstall drivers and re-install the previous ones they have. I have an rx480, it bugged after i updated the video driver. My monitor stutters every 5 seconds. I rolled back the driver, and behold... my problems are fixed. One week after, AMD come out with a new driver and it fixed the problem that I had with their "new" driver... I have never used an AMD system that is totally bug free from the box straight to any software installation. Either bios, drivers, hardware (either monitor or other usb devices) or software compatibility would come up. People might say its windows 10 problems, microsoft gave the new specs to the manufacturers decades ago, its AMD who didnt do their due diligence before releasing.
Outside The Box : you are a classic Shintel Shill that can be noticed from a mile away. Why ?! First you state that you never want/suggest AMD to anybody and blame AMD for everything windows 10 does wrong, then you lie about quazi owning an AMD gpu/cpu, then you explain your quazi existing problem with an AMD component that is very poorly explained in a crude way that can happen to any component from the last 25 years, and then you generalize how you never totally used AMD system because of some general non specific problem that can again happen to any component selection from the last 25 years of computer era and then you again defend Windows 10 and Microsoft like Microsoft has never done anything wrong. Dude there is no need for your existence, you as a selfdriven Shintel Shill with selfsustaining brainwashing crude logice can go back to you Shintel cave taking care of your newly assripped 2nd poopoo hole that Threadripper ripped you last year. The only time you can come out of your little dark troll cave located in Shintelland is when you run out of your Ryzen poopoo creme :).
Outside The Box: I have built plenty of AMD computers over the last 10+ years and all but one has performed well "out of the box". In fact, the one i'm typing this comment with was built in 2011, and the only thing that I have replaced is the HDD. It was getting full (500GB), was 6+ years old, and was starting to make some clicking noises. The one that did die started having problems with no sound via HDMI, then all of the USB ports stopped working. I blame all of it on the MoBo being bad.
Outside The Box, Intel users are very inside the box for those of us into budget computing, so I appreciate the irony. I have been disabled since AMD CPUs were still called "K-7" and except for an ancient Dell D620 laptop I bought for $59 on E-bay that I use to run Linux Mint and BOINC 24/7, have never owned an Intel or Intel based product.
I bet it is amd fault I have a 2200g had to pop in my broken 470 with win10 1803 just to not get it to VIDEO_TDR I tried all day yesterday fuck Apus these ones are broken I’m not downgrading windows and tbh nice bang for buck but with single channel b die at 3200 I doubled my fps via gpu not ram in csgo. I have to admit ryzen is smooth but the mouse lag on 2200g + csgo at high shadows and 720p was awful. No fanboy just speaking the truth as usually big AMD fan. Fuck off Raja with your godawful designs. I want a pre Raja dGPU fuck Vega so much. Constant bsod randomly on q2, 18.5.1 or even W update drivers WITH chipset drivers. Anyone who doesn’t realise these apu are F.... BROKEN and thinks I’m being mean is already screwed
I did an all used parts 2200g build for a little over $200. That includes monitor, mouse and a keyboard. Its no powerhouse but works good for light gaming and excellent for watching UA-cam.
It might be the RAM you're using. Fetching blocks that don't match up properly or something of the sort. Usually the artifacts that come from graphical glitches are in primary and secondary colors. Not fuzz like that. Try swapping the RAM out for something faster and/or higher capacity
Sorry Jay, that sucks rocks! On a brighter note,... I used to be fastidious in shutting down all background processes before gaming, but with a Risen 7 (measley 3600x) and an RTX2060 in my current rig, I've been averaging 120-140 fps in most games (obscene framerates in Portal II, which is my go-to game), so I've gotten lazy and I just click the Steam icon without disabling anything. Thanks for reminding me that I can speed things up even more by going back to old (good) habits. (so you did good) Still sucks about your build tho.
Nah man i could have saved a few bucks on the rgb keyboard, i mean it is not neccesary, what it is the monitor i prefer 1080p rather than 768p and a colorful keyboard xD.
I built one of these for someone, when this happened I reinstalled windows and it worked fine, I did the bios to make sure as well. He's been gaming on it for months now with no problem.
The Challenger S really reminds me a lot of my old Red Bone case, with fewer drive cages and better air flow. And also without the useless e-sata port on the front.
I have experienced similar issues with UWP games when running full screen 1080p/HDR,it wouldn't use HDR with 1080p. The only game that works close to that is Gears 4 by using a custom resolution in the game's options. (Not as severe as this and the screen is not distorted but a video problem nonetheless)
Ima now building a full brand new pc for less than 500$ with peripherals. Mainly R6S followed by Battlefield and Battlefront 2 with some single players. Wish me luck! :D
That's a good suggestion. Linus just did a review on a 90 dollar monitor that is Amazon's top seller right now. It has a surprisingly high quality ISP panel in it. Just no frills on cable connections or stand options.
L1A1Rocker It also needs to be connected with hdmi so no freesync which is supported on the raven ridge apu's if you have a motherboard with a displayport connector.
Finally an expert how also has a problem he cant solve. My pc is lagging and the sound is cracking on start since weeks. Months before it had problems with the audio. Swtiched the motherboard, updated all drivers, windows and that stuff. Reinstalled realtek audio and so on. Now the PC is sometimes not shutting down as before or restarting. Only if i press the restart button on the pc itself. After that it works on starting.
Working in retail i've noticed that Gigabyte products outside Aorus brand is quite prone to have faults right outside the box. Their customer service also takes forever when you try to solve warranty problems without 2nd party retail warranty support. Also, for european market there are kolink, aerocool and zalman cases that most of them come with 2-3 fans, some of them also have Led fans.
the graphical glitches aren't the PC but the game. Friday the 13th uses unreal engine 4 which in some games can sometimes give issues with fullscreen which is the reason the game's default setting was on borderless windowed. same thing happens on fortnite, dauntless and other UE4 games
Oh man, that sucks. I definitely want to see the follow-up when you guys get this thing up and running 100%. Troubleshooting and dealing with issues like this is a pain.
heh, I'm actually using that cpu. My old z87 motherboard's vrm started failing, so I had to get something new. I decided to go with a ryzen, and that was the cheapest cpu I could find, got a gigabyte ga-ax370-gaming motherboard (because from what I had read, it automatically had support for the 2200g), and an 8gb stick of ddr4 2666mhz memory from crucial. Then I had to replace the graphics card (gtx780), because it seemed to have been damaged by the motherboard, and I wanted to get something that's comparable... found an rx480 used for $240. I'm rather happy with this overall build tbh.
I would be curious to know what sort of trouble you had with your GTX 780 on your Ryzen system. I have run into a similar issue where my GTX 780 is not recognised by my AX370 K7/2600 build - just gives me one long and 3 short beeps. The GPU works fine in any other system, and my Ryzen system recognises every other GPU I've tried in it. I've read some forum posts that imply that GK110 based GPUs are simply incompatible with Ryzen 2000 systems.
Well, it was recognized just fine, but I would get these weird glitchy crashes, that happened even with the new motherboard (tbh, I didn't even consider replacing the gtx780 until then) and my fiance and I have sort of surmised that the motherboard somehow managed to damage the vrm in the 780 or something else as well. I mean, from what I recall some of the sensors weren't working correctly either, temp was fine, but some of the other information one normally receives via gpu-z or speccy or what have you was just not showing up. I've considered the idea of shipping it off to a place to repair it, because its still a nice video card.
caitlinomalley80 if you've tested the card in other systems and it still shows problems, see if any of the capacitors are bloated even slightly. Clean the pins too with a pencil rubber eraser (it often builds some very thin grime after being installed for so long). My drastic approach is to strip the hsf and use dishwashing liquid to wash the whole thing with a very soft toothbrush. Dry with a hairdryer and let sit for a week.I've somehow a few cards with this method. If all else fails and if the card is unresponsively dead or undetected, the oven technique works a bit but for just a while (shitty soldering).
Ayu Natsume i know of the oven approach, but I'd rather avoid that, since we only have a single oven, and no toaster oven to use and toss. Also what's the hsf exactly?
caitlinomalley80 I meant to remove the heatsink and fan (HSF) assembly since you just want to wash the bare card. Washing with dishwashing liquid can remove some stuck up dirt causing random shorts (rat pee, other gunk) and can restore some non-bulging non-solid electrolytic capacitors that slowly die over the years. Dry, let sit for a week, and reinstall the HSF with new thermal paste. Check the fans too if they are giving resistance and add a drop of oil in the bearing if it feels scratchy. This whoke process revives caps, cleans gunk, removes shorts, restores HSF connection for better heat transfer, and revives the fan for a quiter and more powerful fan. I've had some miracles happen with that technique. I did it with a whole motherboard and the system got somehow faster (board always ran the cpu at a lower freq before this). Gfx cards that showed a shortage of vram for some reason got fixed. Revived supposedly dead cards too around 30-60% rate. If you want a quicker solution but not as whole-cleaning, try using electronics contact cleaner spray. This wont revive the caps and improve the heat dissipation though but should solve some short and dirt problems. I've had some friends too back then that used to replace all the caps in the board with identical specs to revive cards or fix problems not related to solder, heat, and faulty chips/VRMs. The oven technique is a last resort and normally only works if its the solder connections that failed due to heat and stress.
please help. I am planning on buying a 1070/1070 ti Asus Strix graphics card, and rn it is pretty cheapish on Amazon. I just want to know if it is worth to buy stuff from Amazon and save 50euros, or should I stick to local stores? How good is the factory warranty on Asus video cards? Will they replace a defective video card? Thanks
Werner Freiherr von Beschwitz check first if you have an RMA or Asus service center near you and ask them. In my area, Sapphire was the closest and easiest to talk to. Some Asus service centers also dont need receipts because they have a database of when it was made or if the seller sent them a copy of your receipt.
I built my whole build off the amazon used section. My case was 130 msrp like new used was 70. My mobo was 220. used like new was 130. My i7700k was 340 new and 200 used like new. My 850 80 gold was 75 dollars but 135 at bestbuy.
My case/motherboard (B450 Aorus M) came with one as well and has really helped when i needed it most. Can't stress it enough to use these if your custom build comes with one
This time of video is great, taking us through the troubleshooting process. something in different instead of just like any other troubleshooting videos that have out there. Maybe some video ideas for you in troubleshooting systems on cam.
I have the same problem with fullscreen. I thought its just the game. But i have a Ryzen 1400 and a GTX 1050Ti and when i go full screen my monitor turns all green and flashes. It used to not happen.
My first PC build was $350 in 2013 and ran Skyrim, Far Cry 3, and Portal at absolute max settings in 1080p getting 60ps. I was surprised. One year later my work laptop wasn't cutting it so I put another $1000 into that build and it's been my workstation and gaming PC since 2014.
Was thinking the same - I don't think I'd jump straight to motherboard troubles with those symptoms, especially if something as simple as the Windows volume indicator soft overlay in the foreground made the affected [full-screen] window fine.
Why does Windows 10 suck so much in fullscreen applications lately? Can't alt-tab from the game without crashing it or run it in fullscreen mode without graphical glitches.
Kotonoha Katsura No communism is the reason I pay €1.59 for a litre (slightly more than 1/4 us gallon) of petrol at the cheapest place in the surrounding area.
No one cares that you don't use gigabyte. They're reputable, your problem could be fixed, and Jay commented himself saying the motherboard is fine. Gigabyte rocks. So does Asus. They're both fine. You seem to have a first world problem of owning two computers.

The MB is fine? I built a B350 system this week. That was fun enough. Not sure what I would have done if I hit your issue. Wouldnt have any hair left!

Step 1. Get a Dell optiplex or something
Step 2. Throw a 1050ti in it
Step 3. Buy some cheap peripherals.
Done
right? old HP and dell full tower workstations are cheap. recently picked up an HP 8200 elite for 130$ i7 2600 16gb of ram, 1tb HDD. i used it as a box to stuff drives in but i could easily throw a 1050ti in it nd have DIRT cheap gaming box
Bottleneck issues.
I bought an optiplex 760 (pentium e5300, 4gb ram, 70 gb hdd) for $10 a month ago. I had no plans to use it as a gaming rig, but turns out it doesn't support 2-slot pcie cards so there goes that idea.

Zachmdful I had to disable the auto updates as well. The 1803 update seems to be broken for the Ryzen APU's.

I especially like that about Jay's videos.
Am i the only one wondering, how he attached the monitor to the case?
Podium_Position_1529 my first thought was mount to the side grill.
My first thought was that it was real handy for saving some desk space while at a LAN party and why i had never thought of doing that.
It's not the best idea, because the monitor is blocking ventilation for the case basically
Krampus the ventilation is coming from the dual intake fans. The only thing that is doing is letting more dust into the case
Krampus those are just open vents. 99% of cases these days do just fine with NO side vents, I think that very slightly blocked ones would be fine
got my 2666 ram overclocked to 3000, 1.205mv. Works awesome, totally stable.

There's a program, I believe it's called can I remove it, or something like that. It's made exactly for this.
i know i sound like an asshole but google it. I learned what is what by googling it.
easy way is to just kill the task. Worst case scenario you need to restart your computer.
just don't fuck around with registry and msconfig. Those are advanced stuff.
If you decide to fuck around whit those, worst case scenarios is that you need to reinstall windows.
btw for me things to uninstall:
weather, and finance stuff.
Cheers.

i understand the goal was to keep the price around 500 but the A320 chipset is kind of like cutting off your toes so the only pair of cheaper shoes in the store will fit, yeah you saved a little money but you just handicapped yourself.
Jonathan Soko didn't see that, that'll teach me to read descriptions more often
Under $500, not around.

Adam Earle he switched the display to the small one. Not refresh rate. Still presented the same problem.
@@Devante0404 He wasn't talking about the monitors tested being at fault, he meant that the Ryzen Apu didn't probably like the refresh rate set. Most likely setting it at 60 would solve the problem since that's as compatibility mode as it gets.

Love this Rosewill mid tower case, I own two of them. Bargain price with all metal construction aside from the front panel. 9 fan mount points, none obstructed. Ultra wide so it fits just about any cooler.
IMO, if your budget is $500 or below, your likely better off buying used components for the majority of your build.
or getting a used dell, acer, or HP office PC and upgrading its graphics
These days you can have it built for you for cheaper.
Well yeah, buying everything used will be cheaper and better, it works for everything not only hardware.

2200g is roughly a 560? Uuhh Jay, I'm pretty sure a 560 is closer to a 1050 than even the 2400g
monjessenstein
The price...
I am pretty sure he meant in price...
monjessenstein
Before mining that is...
2400g w/fast ram is a bit slower than gt 1030 (=rx 550)
A Ryzen 5 2400G is close to gt 1030
Ima now building a full brand new pc for less than 500$ with peripherals.
Mainly R6S followed by Battlefield and Battlefront 2 with some single players. Wish me luck! :D
Reason for the Problem: The mouse and keyboard.
Nope. It was the mouse pad.
Nah. It was the mobi speaker he was so fond of.
No... It was the desk.
Rafael nah he didnt set the 2gb in the bios for the gpu
Sceptre isnt pronounced 'Skepter' like you tried to pronounce it. Its 'septer'
It made me laugh out loud when he said it.
ac3ofspades878 and it's all in the name skyence sorry I meant science 😀
scept ur balls
I am about 60% sure he said it that way on purpose. Probably to troll people into correcting him.
ac3ofspades878 I didn't know how it was pronounced and just assumed it was Septer. Weird how the brain works.
watching this vid with DEEP levels of 2021 pricing pain. Dx
Yes, the good old days...
It looks like a Windows problem
$1000 pc,peripherals and monitor included video please
integrated graphics.
That's called an $800 PC and a decent monitor + KB&M.
cheeto graphics spicy 990FX
UltimateMcNasty ohh very cool
Gt 1030 or an Rx 560? Boi those are CONPLETELY different spectrums
560
SKEPTER.....
It is driver issue
I had same
the graphical glitches aren't the PC but the game. Friday the 13th uses unreal engine 4 which in some games can sometimes give issues with fullscreen which is the reason the game's default setting was on borderless windowed. same thing happens on fortnite, dauntless and other UE4 games
Since when is cs go a unreal engine game?
The Swedish Moose I never mentioned csgo(?)
But you mentioned it was because of UE4 and he got the same problem in CS:GO
The Swedish Moose I didn't notice that he tried on csgo as well, I probably had to do something and took the headset off before he said counterstrike
Alright
Ricardo Ortiz you are just like me then, buy mint used. And save half the money
A MOTHERBOARD SPEAKER!!!!! :-D I still use a speaker in all of my builds. Nothing more satisfying that a post beep.
Can you please explain how disabling Windows Defender increases system performance.
because it does
Joke - Fortnite Windows defender takes a noticeable amount of cpu and ram and usually has high disk usage that can go to 100%
Because it monitors and runs in background and whatever apps runs in background consumes ram, disk and CPU performance
thanks for your contribution. #raisinDick
I would tell someone who can only spend $500 on a computer to not waste it and wait until you have $1000.
Pretty much the best advice here.
I have only 100$
My case/motherboard (B450 Aorus M) came with one as well and has really helped when i needed it most. Can't stress it enough to use these if your custom build comes with one
Good vid good to see the builds coming back :)
Edit: NORD VPN is taking over the world!!!!
chesterlion vpn
It's still more expensive than pia and I don't really see the benefits

With pleasure.
It used to not happen.
xX_Destructo_Xx IsHere mine was going that with an Intel I 5 , ended up being my invidia settings . sucker was trying to display for a vr headset .
is that austin evans setup
still better than the VERGE build...lol
My first PC build was $350 in 2013 and ran Skyrim, Far Cry 3, and Portal at absolute max settings in 1080p getting 60ps. I was surprised. One year later my work laptop wasn't cutting it so I put another $1000 into that build and it's been my workstation and gaming PC since 2014.
At my intel hd 4600 had the same Problem but it Funktion yet but wehn i start fortnite it glitch but in fortnite a round it Stopp
whut
@@Bob-sf9ht yep...at his intel...whut iz be hard tu undetrsand? LOL
T C r/ihadastroke
I had that same problem on the loading screen with hd 4600, got a dedicated gpu and it stopped
One Word: Windows
Was thinking the same - I don't think I'd jump straight to motherboard troubles with those symptoms, especially if something as simple as the Windows volume indicator soft overlay in the foreground made the affected [full-screen] window fine.
Why does Windows 10 suck so much in fullscreen applications lately? Can't alt-tab from the game without crashing it or run it in fullscreen mode without graphical glitches.
One Word: Communism
Kotonoha Katsura No communism is the reason I pay €1.59 for a litre (slightly more than 1/4 us gallon) of petrol at the cheapest place in the surrounding area.
I was playing CSGO on win8 when I decided to upgrade to win10 and after it my game was having the same problem
Keep going brother !!!!, We support your efforts!!!
This is why i dont use gigabyte motherboards and use only Asus, i have a second pc with a gigabyte motherboard and it just doenst work properly.
I have the opposite issue
Try asrock then maybe
Killer Keemstar h110 since 2016 and still no probs either. pretty sure i bent some capacitors when putting in my gpu as well
I bought my gigabyte motherboard in 2009 . Sill using it, no problem whatsoever. You are probably unlucky or I'm very lucky
No one cares that you don't use gigabyte. They're reputable, your problem could be fixed, and Jay commented himself saying the motherboard is fine. Gigabyte rocks. So does Asus. They're both fine. You seem to have a first world problem of owning two computers.
