Twitch Featured Clips - How They Work!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 чер 2024
- Clips are a great way for new viewers to quickly discover streamers and get a feel for you and your community, even when you’re not live.
Twitch recently shared plans to do more to promote your Clips on Twitch and help drive viewers to your future streams with the mobile Discovery Feed. As Twitch works towards building new onsite discovery tools like the Discovery Feed, Twitch wants to give you more control over which Clips are shown to viewers on Twitch.

Nice and straight to the point everyone else had 16 min videos i aint got time for that!
I try my best to give value with out too much fluff or tangents unless the subject matter requires I dive a little more into it. Just doing my best to help out awesome streamers.

Thanks, will do!
Slowing getting back into making content to help awesome people out :)
Your amazing and miss your streams! ❤
Thanks and I miss ya too.
Trying to find time to stream again :)
is there a way to have them automatically published? I find that when I edit a clip on my phone, I still have to go on the website to "feature" them.
Thank you so much for the information
Oh and your advice helped me get affiliated thank you so much❤❤❤❤
Dude that is so awesome - Super proud of you.
We will call it even by you smashing that Sub button below 🔥
@@Wild4 lol I did years ago
Thanks for the sub love
Is there a way to, on the mobile app, hide featured clips from channels you follow? Instead of them instantly popping up and taking the whole screen as i open the app.
Not that I know of just yet.
However - I think featured clips will go through a change when the discovery feed launches ( which is soon ). So stay tuned for that.
As a viewer, I really dislike featured clips foisting themselves onto my twitch screen at the top first thing. It's making me unfollow streamers to get rid of this annoying new feature.
@@Jeff010203same
@Jeff010203 I've been doing the same thing. It's annoying.
Great video.
Question - if i feature multiple clips, which one will get shown (for example on mobile)? Do they rotate? For how long is each clip featured?
That I don't know yet... We will have to see after its been out for a while. I would imagine ( if twitch was smart ) they would prioritize your most watch or best retention clips first. They sample & rotate out from there for more impressions.
Wild, I have nervous hands, it's hard for me to do details even with my stick or bar to lean on. Do you have any suggestions for me, I would appreciate any help before I give up thanks Chuck.
Hiii! Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm a twitch noob haha,
I recently featured a few of my clips however soon after I did my 'recent broadcasts' stopped showing on my channel home page and all my viewers can only see, desktop and mobile, are featured clips, I'm just wondering if there's a way to fix this? It's ok if you don't know I just thought it would be worth asking :)
ps: I love this video, it's straight to the point and shows us exactly what we need to know whilst being entertaining. Super good job!
If you look at the Twitch Featured help page ( which I think I linked in the video description ). You will see that twitch is rolling out and making changes to where F Clips will be shown. The homepage is one of them.
This could change in time, once they see how F clips are received from viewers
thanku omg
Turned out I had to wait a few minutes to get that featured clip up on my home page, for anyone else that didn't get it right away : )
Can you do this on mobile?
I like this feature but the problem is that you cant feature highlights ( which are your edited versions of clips for better experience).
What they really need is a way to upload highlights and clip... this way you can edit, polish, and add effects to really grab attention
I have seen an upload button on the content page but i'm not sure what its for as i haven't tried it out yet. @@Wild4
If I remember correctly - I think that is for loading videos to the content producer section and not clips... BUT been a while... We will have to check 😂
Thanks.
You are super welcome 🔥
How do i remove this? The feature clip «shelf». Only way I found so far is to unfollow the people that use it. Thanks.
I don't think you can since it is a new feature.
However - I think it will go through a change when the discovery feed launches ( which is soon ). So stay tuned for that.
Just like people not sorting streams from lowest to highest viewers, I don’t foresee anyone clicking “featured clips from smaller communities”
We will have to wait and see how Twitch will utilize this feature with small streamers in mind.
