I think an equipment "necessities" video would be helpful for those who want to try this out and don't know the proper and basic equipment you need to start, and answering Q's like "Do you need a PC?" Whats the pricing on the equipment?" things like that would def help

omg that "-" and "_" thing just helped me so much, ive been trying to figure this out for 2 hours now, i have a underscore in my name and once i changed it to a dash it worked

I'll take a look into it though usually UA-cam will do it on it's own eventually haha - also a side note is that sometimes people will skip over something crucial in the video accidentally that they didn't know about and will run into issues since they skipped it, so just another point I'd like to throw out :)

If you multistream DO NOT CHANGE "SAMPLE RATE" UNDER AUDIO TAB TO 48kHZ, KEEP IT AT 44kHZ
Some streaming platforms are incompatible with 48khz and will not accept it.. and your stream will have no sound. Took me ages to figure out what was wrong.
Weird. I haven't had any issues. What platforms?

Hey Cpaw, I watched the full tutorial and followed every step. However when I click start streaming and go to my creator dashboard it tells me that I am offline. Also, I can see on the bottom bar of OBS it tells me that it is repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting. I'm not sure if that is related but I would like to figure out how to get kick to start streaming.
Try using a different encoder under your obs output settings
hey i had the same issue andd fixed it, go to settings, output then change video encoder to nvidia h.264

For me it was solve after restarting and putting a name for the stream 🤷♂️ I know it sounds like I did nothing but if it works for anyone else …

Streamlabs seems easier. Why exactly do you prefer obs? Btw. You videos are really professional and you seem like a such a nice dude. I wish you all the success you’re grinding for
Streamlabs is more user friendly but every pro streamer uses OBS
I actually don't prefer OBS and I personally use Streamlabs. I also have a video showing how to stream to Kick using Streamlabs if that floats your boat instead ua-cam.com/video/gbyi9B8FX7c/v-deo.html - I just used OBS for this video since it's the more popular software of the 2

set up for kick almost. Did you have one on adding buttons on the about me though?
I see some have a discord button and stuff like that. Haven’t came across that one yet.
Yup! That's in my "How to customize your kick channel" video :)
StreamLabs OBS is extremely hardware intensive, comparable to OBS. Thats why almost every professional streamer uses it.
Hey, I need to thank you because that video made my journey with streaming a lot easier but however even if i set every option as you did in the OBS my stream is still only in 720p. I double checked the settings also my internet connection and everything is fine. I have no idea what i did wrong xd
Kick is limiting streamers with 2 viewers or less to 720p
@@CpawsMusic So I just tried to set this up, and from what I can tell..OBS studio is utter garbage. I did what you did with the url and stream key, and OBS sends absolutely nothing to Kick when it claims that it is live.

I did everything and when I click start streaming it says Invalid path or connection UrL
Double check you entered your stream url and stream key correctly

However, despite rewatching the audio portion... I have no desktop volume coming from a test stream I ran on my Kick. The audio meter didnt' appear to register any volume from the game.
For a while I was hearing myself on the mic, but sorta figured out that situation. Not sure if it's permanent or was just lucky in my own troubleshooting.
Wondering where did I go wrong?
Try checking your audio settings in windows and see what the default settings are and try making tweaks from there, then you can reference those defaults in obs studio

AND...if I talked about a movie or TV show can I play a little bit of a movie, stop it, talk about it, and then play more. I figured that might get around the copyright issue and use it as Fair Use on a live stream.
