    Thanks for your help. I went to order parts online (Amazon-Septic Air Rebuild Kit). Just before I checked out I decided to check where the kit was being shipped from. OMG....Dayton,Texas. I went by your business and you were so nice. Not only did I save $ on the parts, but you also took the time to show this grandmother how to change the parts out! You pulled up UA-cam and talked me thru fixing the vanes and seals step by step. THANK YOU.
    And, thank you for posting videos online. Ann

    Thank you! Had a service guy come out in April to replace aerator. Have not seen my sprinklers kick on since. Opened up the breaker box and wouldn’t you know the technician never flipped the breakers back to on after replacing air pump. Needless to say they stunk for the first 30 seconds but, now they are working as they should

    Thank you for making this video..... Early today before 1:50am this alarm went off plus a red light next to the bedroom window..... Ufff 😳.... I was thinking was a fire🔥.....I woke up my husband he went outside to check on this noise and the red light..... He did not know what to do...... After some time I open up youtube and searched the situation and the first video I saw was this one. I showed it to my husband and he did went outside again and press the silent button (so happy😀 when the alarm stop) then almost at 3:00am the red light stop ...... Thank you for posting this video 📹👍🏼😁...... From Florida.

    Thank you for posting this video. I live in a two-story apartment building and, currently, there is an alarm blaring, and a red light going off on one of the septic meters. I tried contacting the Emergency after hours number(that I was given by management). Apparently, to them, it is not considered an emergency. So, this should be interesting.😅 Hopefully it’s just the breaker.

    Problem is the temporary silence switch is not silencing the alarm. Woke this morning to the alarm-found my teens had not realized that the toilet flush button was stuck in the down position causing water to overfill the tank. No matter how I toggled/pressed I couldn’t get the alarm to silence except by flipping the switch at the main fuse box. There is a 2nd fuse switch inside my alarm box which flipping it on/off did not affect the alarm or the light. So I’m putting earmuffs on and periodically flipping the toggle switch from Auto to Manual to draw down the water in the final tank. I’m going to try changing out the spare fuse in the alarm box since it was the only unresponsive component. Do you have any other advice besides educating my teens? 😂 thanks for the great video.
    -Mermalar
    UPDATE: the silence toggle switch works only when moved “west.” I had assumed an north-south orientation. Honestly it’s hard to think straight when the alarm wakes you up so I marked the correct direction on the box in Sharpie for next time.

    My air pump is not working so I opened the circuit breaker panel breakers are good but I have a red wire on the bottom of circuit board that is not hooked up I think it should be because the end is bare wire and looks like it use to be hooked up but I don't know what slot to put it in. Trying to attach a photo. Great video.

      Eric Israel yes that’s typical even if there is no one authorized in the area to work on it. Generally we junk the control panels because they are impossible to work on. They make them like a control panel for a super complicated city waste treatment plant instead of something simple like the other manufacturers.

    We lost power in storm for 8 hours about a week ago. When the power came back on, the red light on the electrical box for the septic pump flashed for about a minute or two then turned off. Though the alarm never sounded. Since then, I've stood outside at different times for a few minutes to see if I can hear the pump occasionally turn on, so far I have not. Maybe I just missed hearing it each time.
    But just curious, if there was something wrong with the pump, I assume the red light would have kept flashing?
    There is a box inside the panel labeled Pump 1 and Pump 2. Each has a switch in the inside the box that says: Manual - Off - Auto. They are both currently set at Auto. Probably a silly question, but better to ask before doing so--- If I flip the switch on Pump 1 to Manual for a moment, just to see for sure if the pump is still working properly since the storm, would that ill-advised?

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801  6 років тому +3

      Jeff Thomas that won’t hurt anything the pumps alternate one turns on then the other one the next time. All you will do is turn it on early nothing will happen. It is a good way to make sure both pumps are working. The reason it went off is because to much water went in and the pumps could not turn on. So when power did come on it took the pumps a couple minutes to get the water back to normal level. The buzzer could have broke and that’s the reason no sound was made it is pretty common.

    Thanks everyone. I've since had a friend who is an electrical engineer come out. Seems the aerator wasn't working for a very long time. Then stressed and broke the pump. The pump was replaced. Now the pump is working and the alarm doesn't go off. But the aerator breaker is still tripped. My friend mentioned some septics don't have aerators- it just helps with efficiency. I'm selling the home and let them know they will want a new aerator pump replace OR to just check that wire!! I bet it's from when it fell off the house bc of the ice. Thanks everyone

    My septic tank was pumped last year and just had a successful annual inspection a month ago. Then, my septic alarm keeps going off. I can't have it on for more than a few hours before it trips again. There is no reason for it. Another thing: there have been the weirdest gurgling and rattling sound coming from the septic controller (like the one in your video). I have recorded one of these "seizures" and showed it to my septic service owner and he could not figure it out. Can you give me some ideas about these two problems and what I can do? I should add that these "seizures" have have been going on since we've moved to this house 1.5 yrs ago, and I had assumed that pumping the system would take care of this problem. it kind of did -- as the frequency has dropped quite a bit but it still happens a few times per year. Thanks a lot in advance.

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801

      Mike Lee well it could be a bad relay in the control box, one of the floats could be bad or a short in one of the wires.you should probably call a more knowledgeable septic guy to come out and track down the problem.

    Wholesale Septic Supply - My alarm when off today, my neighbors alerted me, there was water everywhere, where my tank is had to be full to the top. I turned off the alarm, before I checked the breaker, but inside the breaker was tripped or off, but I am not sure how that happened. I flipped it on, and did run on the system, but I could not tell if it was running, it was making noise but didn't seem as loud as it normally would be when emptying. But when I turn the switch to auto, the run pump light comes back on and it makes noise, is that because I didn't let it empty all the way on manual run?

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801  6 років тому +4

      A tripped breaker is a sign the effluent pump the pump that gets rid of the water is going bad. As they age they start to pull more amps and will throw breakers. It could also be the wiring is not sealed right and is shorting out. since the system flooded it's advisable you have it pumped out. Trash from the trash tank and other solids will have got into the pump tank and that can damage the pump as well. when you get a new pump you will want to buy a new float switch as well since they are rated for a certain amp pull and if the pump is bad it will have gone over that damaging the float. The number one problem with people buying a new pump is not changing the float then the new pump goes bad because the old float is faulty.

    I put the tablets in the holder in the septic tank and there was very little water in the tank. Normally there’s more. Is this a problem? No alarm, no red light. We are looking into buying a home and on the seller disclosure it says that septic system has shortage? What does that mean? It is an aerobic septic system

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801  6 років тому +2

      I️ would ask what they mean by shortage. Is a wire shorting out is a relay not working in the control panel. Could be a float switch is bad and needs to be replaced of the pump is bad the is in the pump tank. This is why a reputable septic person should look at it not a home inspector. Most home inspectors don’t have a clue when it comes to septic systems. The short could make the the aerator not work or pump then your holding the bag because you signed off on it. I️ would want the problem taken care of and they system pumped before taking ownership. How long since the last clean out/pumping. If they don’t know that’s something you will have to do. It’s also a sign they didn’t take care of the system.

      Do you have two lights or just one. If just one check the aerator is it on. If so then the next thing is the pump chamber. It could be a couple things from a bad alarm float to a bad pump. If the tank is full in the pump chamber it is the pump if it’s not it could be a bad alarm float.

      I plumbed a 0-10 psi gauge into my airline so I can see at a glance what the system is doing.Right before my first air pump went bad it was just above 1 psi and I think I had one bad diaphragm then. After replacing the pump it is running just below 3 psi. The switch closes below 1 psi and turns on the alarm so it's also useful in trouble shooting a switch problem. I think all systems should have a pressure gauge on them to start with.

      Dustin Thomas could be a faulty alarm float. Or it could be the air pressure switch that is tied to the alarm is not working either one. You can disconnect the air pressure switch and it the alarm stops that’s it. If it’s a float it might just be age or a corrosion that has caused it.

      Something is wrong with possibly many things. One could be the relay is bad that turns on the pump. Another is the pump could be bad or float to the pump. The float normally goes bad because the pump is bad and pulling over the amp rating of the float. We would have to know if the unit is 115 or 220. Pictures also help in determining what it is. You can contact the office on Tuesday for more help.

    So my power has been off for 4 days. My daughter used tons of water and bathroom brakes. Power came on now the buzzer going off and my sprinklers aren't coming on. Could it be the grinder pump?

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801  5 років тому

      Von Clemen there is no grinder pump that runs sprinklers it’s an effluent pump. You might be in a timer and the override switch is not working And it will spray later. If you have a picture of the control panel we would be able to assist you better.

      @@wholesalesepticsupply9801 you were correct. It came back on later the same day. I did however find out that my air pump wasn't functioning. It's a hiblow pump. Just got the parts in and got it going again. The diaphragms were bad. Bought a kit now it's working again. The installer had muted the buzzer. Now I got it on so if it does mess up again I'll know asap. Thanks for the reply! I'm learning. Used to field lines, and ditches. Not treatment plants. Thanks again.

    “Alarm goes off? It can only be these 2 things…excepts if it’s the other 4thing that are related to the first 2 things”
    Might as well say, “if your alarm is going off then something caused it to do so”

    I had septic guy come in November last year he said my aerator part needed to be rebuilt. Ok i got it done. I was renting my home at the time. I asked renter if sprinklers were spraying from time to time she said yes. Fast forward to the 4 month maintenance visit March the septic guy said someone turned off the switch. I then ask could it have been the guy when he replaced the part in Nov. he was certain it was not and blamed my renters. Well the renters moved March 1st. Renter was my aunt. She was certain she never messed with it. The alarm sound was not working so who knows if it did beep to alarm? Million dollar question i keep asking myself is who did it? My aunt or the septic guy? Regardless it cost me $450.00 to pump. Septic guy said she almost ruined the septic system it was so backed up. My question to is to you could it have gone 4 months off and still worked properly? My theory is well if it was my aunt maybe she turned it off because it beeped from alot of water usage prior to her leaving in March. She was washing lots of clothes prior to leaving and probably didnt want to tell me there was an issue. My thing if it was the septic guy could it have gone 4 long months with it off? I can not stop wondering . It caused me to never speak to my aunt again.

      Well I have seen new systems installed on trailers that are not turned on go this amount of time and they are actually in use the whole time. It will be wet around the whole system water does get out. It does smell as the whole system was off. So is it possible yes it’s possible. If she left then the system wasn’t in real use so I wouldn’t be to concerned with it. It was the right call to pump it out though.

      The air pressure switch it is connected to is probably going out that would be my first guess. It could be the aerator is not putting out enough pressure also. That would be caused by a small tear in the diaphragm that has not caused the auto stop switch to be engaged.

      could be on. a timer we would have to see a picture of the panel. It could also be the water level is not high enough. If the water level is high and there is an alarm then it’s your pump for that runs the sprinklers.

    hi! Last night the alarm went off and I clicked silence. I noticed the "aerator" breaker was down. I flipped it up and nothing happened. Hours later, the alarm went off again and I see the breaker switched downward again. I hit silence and then this happened another time. I ended up switching the alarm breaker off, hoping that was just to cut the sound because it was 2am and very annoying to wake to, not to mention neighbors hearing this. I would like some advice, as money is tight, in self diagnosing this by myself? I don't have much knowledge of how this system even works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The next step is to ask a company for a quote. I definitely don't want more problems so it needs attention now! Two notes: 2 months ago in winter, my actual box fell down from too much ice pressure resting on it from the roof icicles, my boyfriend screwed it back onto the wall. He said nothing was damaged except the pvc pipe housing the cables at the stem of the box. Second note is that last night when the alarm went off, we had a lot of rain and the snow finally melted in ohio, the ground is now soft at 60 degrees and two days ago was in the low 20s. Please help! Thank you!

      Okay, Noelle first off I need to know what type of aerator it is being in Ohio you could have a Jet, Norweco, Multiflow, or a Nyadic. On the control panel, there should be a sticker that tells you the make of the system. Once we find that out we can determine if you can fix the aerator or have to get a new one. you can call my office 936-681-8198 and we can walk you through this pretty fast or you can go look then tell us and we can assist you.

      I'd check the connections probably bent a wire or something when box fell... hire handy man to look at it way cheaper than going through the company.... cheap handy man can do almost anything look one up in your area or ask a freind.. just trying to help

      Its a Multi-Flo! Still has the wire loose and the aerator breaker tripped. The septic is working and pumping just fine. Since I'm selling and short for money- as long as it's functioning for now I'm okay. They know about the issues and are fine to fix the aerator. Lesson learned though, always keep a pump in your garage for back up as the break every few years. I didn't know this. So my friend who is the electrical engineer- has a septic and luckily his backup one fit mine! Good luck everyone. Scary thing! I even paid to pump half it out because the Septic company told me I had about two flushes left before it was going to back up. Not something to mess around with.

      Wayne Jacobs you tank are getting water in them from the ground. You probably have a drip system that happens a lot to them when it rains because they put whatever water doesn’t go out the drip line back into the tank. You pump could be weak as well.

    Our septic alarm is going off at the same time every night, for about an hour. Any idea what could be causing this?

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801  6 років тому

      Shannon Riley if your system is on a timer it could be a bad float switch or relay in the system. Drip system also they tend to set more alarms off as most installers put them in incorrectly because they are on a loop they feed back into the system till the amount of water that will stop the pump is removed. Heavy rain or water usage will set the alarm off.

    Nothing against Wholesale Septic Supply. But that setup has ROMEX in conduit. That's both a fire & shock hazard. Surely the health department or fire marshal have something written down for OSSFs needing to follow wire-manufacture-requirements & NEC for safety. I hold anger in every quarterly inspection b/c the install-inspection-system is still broken here in late-2022.
