    Dumb question. Why do you put water back in when you called to have it emptied?

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801 2 дні тому

      @@IronHorse2007 on a aerobic septic a pump discharges the water in most applications. You are cleaning it to remove solids not water. Aerobic systems are sometimes fiberglass so it’s important they have weight added to them so they don’t float out of the ground is one reason. also the alarm switch needs back pressure to engage the switch properly or the alarm will go off endlessly until that tank has water in it. since it is the second tank depending on how many people that could be days so we fill the aerobic unit so this doesn’t happen.

    Do you recommend this fujimac 80 for koi pond aerator? I am deciding between this one and a Medo-80bn. My pond is 10,000 gallons 6 feet deep and I'm planning to spread amongst two 9 inch dics diffusers (matala). Located in NC. Among the koi hobbyist everyone knows and trust Medo for longevity, but not many talk about fujimac. But this one you talk about sounds pretty comparable, if not better.

      @@acepokemontrainer1 that’s a great choice same pressure output at 80 lpm Fuji Macs have a 5 year warranty also.Medo was sold directly to pond dealers is why they are not as popular. Japanese koi food maker Hakari actually had them as their preferred aerator branded for them but never really did anything in the states with them. The Hiblow XP 80 is also a great choice.

    1. Does it hurt a grinder pump to never really grind while used in an Effluent application. There's occassional scum floaters in the effluent tank. 2. My effluent tank pump is at 6 or 7ft below street level in the side yard, but pumps efflent to the backyard, uphill with elevation gain of about 25 total feet from pump to drain field and run of 40ft to 50ft tops. I want a pump what's overkill rather than underkill that can't keep up with the dose timer with what's supposed to be pumped. Prefer metal fins/vane. And upper and lower ball bearing bearings. Any suggestions make/model. It's a 120v system

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801 Місяць тому

      It doesn’t hurt them they have a much higher head pressure. if it’s a true effluent application then a cast iron effluent pump can normally be specified and work just fine. We have one at 40ft of head it’s 40gpm that’s a lot of water even with every sink on shower, and laundry you wouldn’t out run it. The elevation is what matters most of the horizontal run doesn’t really come into play much because it’s doesn’t change the head pressure in a dramatic way unless it’s very large 2000 plus feet. Other things come into play also really pressure is only there if the pipes are full they shouldn’t be if it was properly done. Once at distribution gravity disperses the water if the field lines were done correctly the pump just gets it to that point.

    I rebuilt one of these today. Lasted maybe 4 years 2 months before the alarm went off but I’ve noticed for a long while it wasn’t as loud as it used to be and when I was standing by the aeration chamber of my septic tank I didn’t hear the thumping sound like I used to when it was new and for a couple of years. I hear the thumping again after the rebuild but I swear standing by the aerator it’s no where near as loud as it used to be with the humming sound. Any reason it wouldn’t hum as loud now after I changed out the two diaphragms? I didn’t buy new chamber blocks though. Does not changing out the chamber blocks affect the humming level noise?

    • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801 2 місяці тому

      The chambers could be the cause. They are the primary reason fake rebuild kits don’t work is the air flow is disrupted from improper air flow balance. We won’t go into the full reason as to why it does that but the air flow is much less and the aerator will act up in weird ways. If you paid less than 45-55 dollars for the diaphragm then they are fake.

      @@wholesalesepticsupply9801 oh I bought the diaphragms for $60 from you guys 😆. I talked to Ruben before hand. He was very helpful. • @wholesalesepticsupply9801
      @wholesalesepticsupply9801 2 місяці тому

      Really depends on how many people are in the house. There are systems that are literally the same dimensions in the treatment area different brand names one uses a 80 one uses a 60. Two people in the house average water use i would say you will be fine. you could do a hiblow XP 80 also and it will do what the HP-80 does same output with less amps and ways than the HP-60. It uses a rare earth magnet so it doesn’t need the power required for an iron ferrite magnet.

    So, good information, however, I as a designer and an operator would say that the panel itself is "lacking" as it has No pump cycle counter, no pump elapsed time meter, all of which provide excellent diagnostic information for the service provider. I also prefer a panel that the Hand / Off / Automatic switch is INSIDE the box so it cannot be "accidentally" tripped to OFF or HAND without opening the box. AND Silicone filled wire Nuts !!! too many DIY's use regular wire nuts that are NOT designed to be used outdoors or in a wet environment!
