This is a beauty! Nice work.
I was recently rear ended on my '83 Magna, and it took some serious damage...still await assessment from insurance, but was already tossing around the idea of bobbing it out this winter!
I would really like to replicate or have mine very similar to this, with a few of my own personal touches and style, but haven't a clue how or where to start!?!
I really have almost no knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and/or fabricating to make it happen...

1983 HONDA Magna V45 750 4,973 Miles with the extra Accessories Package offered for that year by Honda (OEM). This Honda Magna V45 750cc is 35 years old and sat in my garage since 1990. It can be insured at reduced rates because it is a Classic (over 25 years old). I was going to have it serviced and got quotes of $600 to $1,000 to get it in top running condition; unfortunately for me, Time and Money didn't allow it to happen. I own two other Motorcycles that I enjoy and I lost interest in this one. This was my first bike and I used it mainly to commute to my job in NYC during the 1980's. It was never abused.
*NOTE: This would be a good Bike for a Mechanic that can put the time and/or funds into it to get it running or for someone who can customized it into a "Bobber" (see ua-cam.com/video/dr10dWmleEk/v-deo.html) or for someone who buys Motorcycles to "part out." The Magna was serviced at 4,000 miles by a Local Honda Dealer. There's a sticker on the Speedo suggesting that the next service be at 8,000 miles. I have records of this.
    Standard Features:
Dual Front Disc Brakes - Driveshaft - 16 Valve Four Cylinder V Engine - Four Carburetors - Water/Anti-freeze Cooling System - Auxiliary Fuel Tank - Adjustable Anti-dive Front Forks -Adjustable Rear Shocks - Analog MPH and RPM gauges _Sealed-beam Headlight - Dual Horns - Hydraulic Clutch/Brakes - Cable Throttle - Anti-Breakaway Signal Lights - Dual Rectangular Mirrors and more:
◊ Clean Title listing me as the original owner
◊ Garage Kept its whole life.
◊ Owners Manual in Original Vinyl Sleeve Case
◊ Tool Kit that came with the Magna in Original Vinyl Case
    ◊ Two Ignition/Seat Lock Keys
◊ OEM Sissy Bar/Passenger Backrest Pad
    ◊ Engine Guard and Windshield
◊ Kryptonite Lock mounted on the bike w/Two keys
◊ OEM Honda Dealer Shop Manual for this Motorcycle
◊ The Original Seat and a Genuine CORBIN Deep Pocket Leather Seat; both in excellent condition considering their age
    ◊ OEM Windshield
$950 - Magna with Original Stock Honda Seat with Passenger Backrest Pad cover
    Options:
$50 - Honda Service Dept. Shop Manual
    $150 - OEM Honda Windshield
$175 - Authentic CORBIN Seat with matching Passenger Backrest Pad cover.
I will not sell anything until the Magna is sold first
Considering it's age it's in good to very good cosmetic condition. The Engine turns over and almost runs but cannot get it to idle. From trying to start it the battery wears out.
    Needs:
    ◊ Battery
◊ Fluids flushed and replenished (Brake Fluid and Antifreeze)
◊ Fuel System Flush, inspect inside main tank and auxiliary tank, Carbs were rebuilt but need to be cleaned re-jetted and float adjustment
◊ Tires or ok but will be needing replacement soon

I completely lucked into one of these bikes "('83 750) for free! It is in ok shape and runs like complete shit currently but the guy admitted to me that he attempted to rebuild the carbs on his own and has NO CLUE what he was doing. Fortunately I've been a mechanic for over a decade. I'll have this thing running perfect in no time.
I've been searching the web for a few days trying to get ideas of what direction to go with it once it's running. I'm thinking this is what I'll end up doing. I will be going on long rides every weekend though so I'll just keep the suspension in the rear. But this is a great job!

    1. How much time and money did you invest in this project?
