Whatta great show to listen to at work this morning. Made it to my lunch break and off to go get some 🍕 pizza with my coworkers. I think I will listen to classic Gary, circa 1979-82’ to close out my afternoon at work. Right on to everyone who watched this show.
I was there and I thought it was AWESOME! Got to see two sets because of the shut down on Saturday night (lighting storm in the local mountains) they played again on Sunday with Iggy Pop to open for Siouxxie. Didn't play "are friends electric"
In this concert sometimes he uses playback during the refrains (listen to 29:24 when he sings alongside the prerecorded voice and when he is far from the microphone). Not usual choice for him; maybe he was experiencing problems with his voice.
OK, I'm gonna catch Hell for this but I love his music as much as everyone here. But I gotta get this off my chest after watching this. Am I the only one to notice he's lip syncing his tracks? This looks so obvious and it seems no one is willing to say anything.
There's definitely backing tracks going on with the choruses, from what I've watched, so far. I think it's fairly common these days. I'd rather not see it happening, but it's not my call.
8:50 for sure. And very common now. Next tour announced with Ministry, Frontline Assembly. Ministry much more obvious vocals to layered track.@@prokesuk
@@nmacog Definitely, it makes me laugh that these die hard Numan fans are stuck in 1980 and bitter that he explored heavier, industrial music. He's said before he was in a rut and Songs Of Faith and Devotion by Depeche+Head like a Hole by NIN got him out of it. From 2:03 ua-cam.com/video/cxuIOC0LJVY/v-deo.html

@@nickcarroll5034 If thats what he wants to do as an artist then who can blame him? I'm just happy the musicians we were into from the 70's, 80's, 90's are still making music.
I grew up with his music. Now I´m 58 and I´m still listen to him. Thanks for uploading bro!
Cheers AcapuKero, thanks for watching
Same here.
@@paulpisters668 Excellent! There is so much great music like The Buggles etc.
Numan unapologetically sticking to his new material and not taking a trip down memory lane, good on him!
Great setlist
Oh! Darn it, because I ♥️ memory lane.
😂
uhh, Metal and Cars are definitely not new material.
@@JKC40
Compare the 70's with his music now.
2023.
😊

No, same music but ramped it up, even better than the real thing,Gary's music has definitely never sounded so 🤬 better.
LOve
Gorgeous gary does the most beautiful hand movements when he sings a prayer for the unborn

This man should be selling out large stadiums, fantastic.
Gorgeous gary has deffinately still got it so amazing wonderful and beautiful love him so much both now and forever
😊
This show is so not intended for DAYLIGHT, but it's cool to be able to see everything that's going on.
My god he was so good. I’m glad we got to see him twice in Pasadena.
His old material played live through the heavier approach is so good. Can't wait to see the new tour with Ministry, Frontline Assembly.
Those epic synths still get it done. Been with this guy since the beginning. Clearly still got it. Thanks for this.
Synths sound great
Synths solo is wonderful. Gary is Big UP!
Yeah ! i saw Gary PURE! live in concert nice show !
I had to watch again. Just amazed at the haunting melodies.
Wow! I’m wishing I had been there. Thank you for the wonderful editing and sound. What a mesmerizing performance.
Glad you enjoyed it! excellent performance
A really excellent edit, thank you so much for putting this together, much appreciated! 🤩
Thanks Paul!
The 2024 Dallas concert line up will be sick !

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for filming and posting this!
First time I saw him live. Was torn running away from the ABC stage. I don’t regret a second. This performance was amazing.
Incredible
Beautifully done! Really enjoyed it. Thank you
Thanks mate👍

A great gig, Numan's still got great stage presence
Brilliant. Thank you from the U.K for this :)
You're very welcome!

Hi Alison.
Gorgeous gary has got such a lovely smile
Nice - I missed him on the Intruder tour. Depeche Mode Saturday though at Twickenham Stadium !
Luckily I saw him at a small venue on the Intruder tour - was brilliant. Depeche at Twick will be ace, enjoy mate!
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video xx
Thanks Alison

Cool
Thanks so much for this amazing video xx

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish he'd put Replicas back in the set list. My favorite live Numan song.
Great track. I thought he might have added it to the Wembley setlist in 2022 when they played 24 songs but unfortunately not
❤
EPIC!
Band on fire
Excellent.NIcely put together.
Thanks Rev
Really, is there a better artist on the Planet than Gary Numan? lets be serious!
Brilliant
Great gig
I love pure too
I love metal too
Omg I love intruder and halo
Brilliant songs👍
I love haunted
❤❤❤❤
Thanks Tracy
Niiiiiiice one 🖤🎼🖤🎼🖤
😎Ta mate
He's asnt lost it still brilliant love his new stuff
Thank you!
2 of my top 3 faves:
-METAL🤍
-A Prayer For the Unborn🌹
-no Are ‘Friends’ Electric? 😢
KILLER set however!
Agree - Prayer For The Unborn is in my top 3 Numan tracks
And no Down in the Park.
Nice. Who's the drummer? I thought Hudson Deans had been hired to replace Beasley?
Not sure who the new guy is, played really well though
Nice pyjamas
😁
Superb but I wish he would resurrect playing The Fall ..would've killed in this set along with all the others
Guess he had a shorter setlist so had to leave some tracks out, played The fall on a few 2022 gigs
He played The Fall when he headlined Rebellion Festival in Blackpool last year
I like Gary newer stuff but he should always, I mean ALWAYS have "Are Friends Electric" and "Down in the Park" in a set of music.
Guess when he's playing a festival slot he has to trim the setlist down, he usually ends with Are Frends Electric
OK, I'm gonna catch Hell for this but I love his music as much as everyone here. But I gotta get this off my chest after watching this.
Am I the only one to notice he's lip syncing his tracks? This looks so obvious and it seems no one is willing to say anything.
I think some of the choruses are on the backing, he's still singing live on tracks like Metal/Cars

"Cirquis" peut aller se rhabiller!
Pseudo industrial tosh. Numan 79-82 pure class.
Surely an artist can evolve, he can't sound like Telekon/The Pleasure Principle forever? Now I know where the down votes come from..
Nothing wrong with a bit of Nine Inch Numan !

@@AlternativeGuitarsI knew he would have been mentioning John Foxx 😀 ( here with Ultravox )! 😎
Wow I love numan but the miming is terrible 😢 looks like it's only the drums that are live
Think he has some of the choruses on the backing, definitely singing live on most of it
@@AlternativeGuitars There's a video of him falling over and the vocals continue on youtube somewhere.

Miss the 80s Numan. This NIN wannabe crap is lame.
An artist moves on...he was influenced by Depeche 'Songs of Faith and Devotion" aswell as NIN, the Intruder album is excellent by the way
@@AlternativeGuitars He's been stuck in the same NIN industrial mode for the past 30 years. Is that moving on?

but.. I dont see NIN changing much either, word. I rather listen 2 APC and AshesD instead...
Until metal, the first few songs were soooo long winded, thought I was going to nod off.
I'm not digging his new material at all
DEPRESSING
Not as depressing as being stuck in your head. Go spread your negativity and bad vibes elsewhere
Wow a prayer. Such a beautiful song
If I could afford it I’d have been there watching live. Been with GN since ‘79. Now 63. Addicted my Wife says. 👍🤣🇬🇧🛫🛬🇺🇸
He's playing there next year so you'd better start saving up 🤣
