Hi Robert, That marker on top of Blood Mountain is called a Bench Marker. It's was placed there after they did the surveying. It's a permanent mark established at a known elevation.
The RV resort looks so nice and with so many amenities. Your hike up to Blood Mountain, just beautiful, (thank you for that, so strenuous). I'm really happy that there was a good flow of water from the waterfall, and actually as you said it, I thought to myself, it would be grand sliding down that waterfall, so I don't think you were delirious! LOL! I can't get over how beautiful all your sky shots (clouds) and sunsets are, it's as if we are right there too. Thank you for making and sharing this great video.😊👍🌌
Mr. Robert...I actually thank the Lord that I found your videos this year of all years. Do know that your vids have been like rare little rays of much needed sunshine. LOL I would have been fine on that trail unless I saw a Timber Rattler. No wonder you get so hungry for your delicious omlettes and stuff with all the activity you get hiking and what not.
The waterfall reminded me of Sliding Rock on Mt. Pisgah, NC. You can actually slide down it as you mentioned you would like to do. Love your trips brother.
Another Sunday morning on the trail with Robert...very nice! Re: "there's something about the mountians...", well, a famous outdoorsman once said "The mountains are calling and I must go." - so you know how John Muir felt. I liked getting a glimpse of Bigfoot in the vineyard--those things are all over the place, even saw one on the trail out to the Crescent City lighthouse a couple of weeks ago. Happy trails!
We just got home from Blairsville today! We hiked to Helton Creek falls-so lovely. My dad owns a cabin outside town, and we drove past Paradise Hills several times, but we didn't make it there. We went to Fainting Goat and Habersham wineries-both gorgeous places!
Hey Robert! Love your vids! Originally from Roanoke, VA. You really should go back sometime after all this COVID mess and check out Peaks of Otter on Blue Ridge Parkway again. Also, l suggest truck only, a ride down Powells Gap down along Jennings Creek to Arcadia/ Buchanan. There's also a winery going down Rte 43 toward Bedford. If you continue down BRP you will come to Meadows of Dan. Mabry Mill and Chateau Morrisette. Fall can be congested due to color change seekers. Take care and God Bless.
Excellent Robert. Just got back from Franklin, Highlands, Bryson City, Cherokee and Asheville. Sitting back and enjoying your video. Heading out again next week to Helen Ga. and then to St Augustine.
Be careful Robert. Specialized hiking boots or shoes or you can easily twist your ankle on those rocky trails. If you twist it 45 minutes into the trail, 3 hours to get back. People may or may not help. Sometimes going downhill is worse than up. You are in Georgia, beware of snakes! Beautiful resort; Very clean and apparently well managed. Liked the swimming pool a lot. Wonder if they have a carryout? Kool videos Robert!
That was a really nice clean up-scaled type of campground! I enjoyed seeing the winery tasting rooms. I loved the view from the top of Blood Mountain. Look forward to your videos of the Smokey Mountains. Safe travels.
Now you know why I love the Blairsville, GA area! There’s so much beautiful scenery around the area. I’ve been to Helton Creek Falls several times. And there’s some more waterfalls worth seeing near Helen, GA, particularly Anna Ruby Falls. Also Brasstown bald which is the highest point in Georgia is worth it too. That one is a little closer to Blairsville. Hopefully next time you come through the area you can see these attractions! By the way, that chicken fajita looked really good! I’ve been to Waynesville before too, and it’s a cute little town!
We were at the RV resort three days after you were there, visiting family from Texas. Their big motor home was about 7 spots down from you & makes an appearance twice in your video! It has a tall flag pole on the back which you passed on the way out. You should check out Anna Ruby Falls some time, they are adjacent to Unicoi State Park north of Helen, GA.
You always having a great time you make your videos so interesting and adventurous... Robert you would make a great commentator.. Keep up the greT videos 💘 them God bless..
A belated welcome to the North GA Mountains, we live in a log home just a little south of where you stayed. If you find yourself in the area again let us know we would love to buy you a nice IPA and show you around the area a bit.
Hello Traveling Robert😊😊! Where are the Pelicans?? Lol! What a beautiful RV Resort in such a nice area. I was huffing and puffing along with you hiking up the Appalachian Trail to Blood Mountain Overlook. SPECTACULAR VIEW! That fajita looked really good and I'm going to make one. I have been to Western NC several times so I'm looking forward to the next video to Waynesville, NC. Great video Robert! Maybe we'll see some PELICANS😊😊😊!
As I watch this and hear you tell viewers "its strenuous trail!" I remember you hiked up the Angel's Landing, was that more challenging for you? Also cool music! New..music!!!
Love that micro Minnie, what year and model? You get every where with that. Nice resort. Thought about buying there. Glad I was able to see a tour of it.

Good morning!
Are we hearing new music in this video, or something I just don't recall hearing before. Anyway -- again a lovely 'armchair travel' video by Robert.

Did I miss something? What is with that huge coffee pot thing in the back seat of the truck??🤔
It is the Berkey water filter
Paul does berkey’s are very expensive, I would do the same thing keep it closer to my view.
Your good morning pronunciation sounds very good.
Hi, I am really enjoyed all of your videos. I am wondering what kind of video camera or what cameras and the editing software you are using?
Thank you. GoPro7 Sony AX53 and Adobe Premiere
Robert, was the ethernet internet better than what your phone was providing at Crossing Creek RV Resort? Bandwidth?
It was not super fast but much more consistent.
What is the silver container on your table. Looks like a big water dispenser
Berkey water filter
Check out the 14 state day hike challenge for the Appalachian trail
