I have followed several hikers every year since retiring five years ago and you did one of the best jobs documenting the hardships and joys. It is sad every year when hikers I enjoy reach the summit .Hope you will continue to share your adventures and update on Leffee.

In your live videos, it would be interesting to hear about how you’re feeling “post hike”. Every day you’ve gotten up, hit the trail and worked toward achieving a goal. How are you handling the emotions of the goal being complete? My journey will take a very long time as I’m doing short sections. Blood mountain to Neels Gap next weekend and my husband as agreed to go with, finally! I enjoyed the after-hike video. I have so many questions lol.

What a wonderful adventure you shared with all of us. I was inspired by your courage, fortitude and kindness. You were honest and true in sharing your experiences and I hope you felt the prayers and love of your followers during your trip. I have a great friend who's following your footsteps at 63, hoping to complete the AT as well, he's in West Virginia now, a little slower going than you but determined. Best of luck to you in your next endeavors! To Leffe as well.
Congratulations again! I hope you don't have horrible post trail depression like I did last winter. The trail was my number one bucket list item. I was lost for months afterward. It takes a long time to feel like you are back in modern society. I had to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. The trail changed me in unexpected ways. It taught me that I can do anything if I want it enough. I recently got my CDL and want to drive everywhere. I plan on hiking the PCT and CDT in a few years after I save up a ton of money. I will be a triple crowner in this life!!!

A well deserved celebration for a hike well done! The food and drinks looked great and it looked like you both really enjoyed. The months of hiking, hard times and good times will be with you always. My husband and I have been watching you since the beginning of this trip. This was not an easy journey, but you did it! I’m happy you found a great friend and hiking companion in Leffie - I could see the difference having company made, especially in NH and Maine mountains. Aw, this video got me in the feels. It hadn't really sunk in that you were done. Transitions are so difficult (for me anyway). Going back to "life", the noise, and the occasional "why did I come back?" Too bad you and Leffe didn't have more time. Portland is a gorgeous Maine city on the ocean. Stella, please do a video on Top Ten Things Stella will Enjoy Not Being On The AT. No bugs, a roof over your head, daily shower, not wearing Gore-Tex 27/7, warm door prepared by someone else, etc. You could even do it Family Feud style, with subscribers submitting there guesses.

I am "old" and untechie so maybe I am doing something wrong to find others.
I don't DO (tech wise) anything beyond watch UA-cam and can manage email & text messages...
Anyway...Leffie looks more than 100% capable of handling Va & Pa on his own.
Still I live in sw Virginia. I have a dog that LOVES to hike..So if Leffie needs any trail help through Virginia and I am available, it would be an honor to help the guy who certainly helped you.

No they don't. Leffe has some stuff on instagram but not really AT only type stuff. I don't think younger dudes are really into the vlogging thing, met a few on the trail and they seem a little more self-contained. Older guys do seem to be but that's kind of "I retired and follow my dream stuff" (really, let everyone back at the cubicle farm you're this guy not the water cooler guy)

“They” say if you really want to get to know someone, travel together. Doesn’t get much more intimate than thru-hiking together! Stella and Leffe seemed to travel very well together. Whatever their bond, I hope it lasts a lifetime ❤

Thanks for taking us along. My wife (who struggles to step out of her comfort zone) really was impressed with your fearless independence. Stealth car camping, solo hiking etc. She isn't interested in the other hikers I follow but loved to watch your trek of the AT.
I saved this video, watching it in bits and pieces throughout the day. It is definitely bittersweet. I hope you are able to join Leffe for his last 800 miles, or at least trail Angel him when he’s back on-trail this fall.

You are an inspiration you are brave and fearless! I won’t be hiking the AT, but will be hiking Zion np in Oct 2024. You’ve helped me so much to get a visual of how to plan ahead. Awe 😍. On your live, would love to know what would you do differently if you had the chance to redo the AT or in hindsight what would you change.
