There’s a reason why most of these shots are taken in storms, and it’s because the storms in Valheim are freakin awesome looking!
Bro one time I was fighting the elder on the beach an a huge tsunami came through like literally idk if it’s bc of where the land was but after the huge wave hit the water was up half way to the trees an I was swept in it I managed to live by waiting on the tide to go back out but it was truly surreal 😊
And because in game it seems like they never end haha 😂

0:57 Being chased by a pack of mobs as you run away, is the most realistic thing in this trailer. For even more added realism, they should show the character running through the the Plains just in his underpants, trying to get his dead bodies inventory back, only to get one shotted by a Deathsquito… again.

Yo I just hopped off valheim for the night, and this is the first thing I see. Incredible.
I respect how honest to the actual experience they are being, the trailer for me, captures what the atmosphere feels like thru out the game. they are a fantastic developer who is transparent about progress and admits their faults and fixes them, that's a rare thing now a days especially among the giant AAA companies. Iron Gate takes the time needed to make a good game, no rush timeline, shipped as promised with very few caveats.
800hrs in and still going. Great game!

Literally the best co-op game i have ever played.
Never stop updating it ! It's a beautiful gem that shines in a rotten AAA game pit we have today.
Once you finish ashlands and far north, maybe it will be a good time for some paid dlc, you need all the support.

So far I’m loving Valheim! Looking forward to future updates on series X. 🙂
I've got my steam version running at max everything and side-by-sided it with the performance mode on my Series X and it looks and runs beautifully. Very stable 60fps with only the typical dips that even PC gets, and what the cut back on in graphics barely impacts the visual fidelity at all. Honestly way better than I expected for the console release. Now if only my friends would play the damn consoles they bought specifically to play games on (who would have thought). Especially since it's on game pass!

I think if you could add a manually operated ballista on a cart the that would be awesome or even just a manually operated ballista without the cart.

I mean, they probably do. But I couldn't tell, as I cannot see much of them. Because... more mist than land and all.
For the longest time I was afraid of exploring too much cuz I thought I’d die but then I started playing with my brother on his world and we got some good stuff like the Frostner which kills trolls and other beasts like that in only a few hits the game became so much more fun because I’d explore more and see the world of valheim which is actually so beautiful so to whoever is watching this trailer to see if it’s a game you’d wanna download let me tell you this. Valheim is an amazing game but you need to spend time on it or have patience. Depending on your play style you can progress quick or slow but keep in mind as the days go on the game will get harder so don’t take your time on progressing. You’ll die A LOT in the first bit of starting your first world but don’t let that cause a dislike because the game becomes a lot more enjoyable and fun once you’ve gotten started with your first base of.

Got it at gamepass launch, just mined my first copper vein and now need to struggle and get those stones for smelter. Kind of a chug but its not bad yet.
So how will mods work? After this much time (PC), I just can't play without crafting from containers paired with ItemDrawer. It's just too useful and cool.

Played over a hundred hours.. Still haven't faced the second boss. Trying to make a bridge across the ocean almost successfully. Now that I see there's magic I'll just boat over there

Since it's on xbox, I'm thinking about giving it a shot. What are some things I should know before jumping in?
@@johnnyboy2411 Take your time with it. Go slow. Explore everything. Experiment with building ideas! Pick up everything at least once so you can get item recipes. For metals, make sure to smelt it into bar form to unlock new things. Mark/annotate your map! Keep yourself fed. 😊

0:38 If you’re a noob with an Xbox who’s never played Valheim before, good look trying to build that ! If they haven’t used a cheat mode, it would take hundreds of hours of grinding, just to gather the wood and stone required.
My builds look like a small garden shed that’s been abandoned for 40 years.
Does the game have mouse and keyboard support on xbox?
Love this game, I do wish there was more pvp elements tho. I'd love if there were pvp zones, like for example the far north and far south perhaps open pvp.
PVP is a simple switch on/off at any time

iron gate for valheim you should hire some of the building youtubers they are realy good at it and you should ask them if then want to join you in making the game some of them are so good at building its insane(one i sugest is SmittySurvival)

Good, but as a recommendation for future videos featuring gameplay, show the blocking, parry, stagger, and other combat mechanics in action. They are more advanced than most other games, and it's passing up on a selling point to not include them.
Oh that's cool, I'm going to play this anyways but that's another thing to get excited about!
Yeah as someone who didn’t discover parrying until my second playthrough, I was missing out. It makes the combat more engaging.
The great thing about this game is that we're only exploring the 10th World. There's no reason we can't go to the others when it comes to Expansion time!
