Imagine you are just anywhere in the norn area, standing on a hill and overlooking some wide part of the map with nothing but snow-covered muntains and trees. This song is just perfect for standing around and looking at the incredible landscape. Love it!
This feels so much like a hymn for the dwarven race who once lived here, before becoming creatures of stone and descending into the depths of the world to meet their fates in Guild Wars 1. In the Shiverpeaks where this plays, I look around at the craggy ruins and the cold stones, and I know. This was once their home. But no more. All that is left now is memories. I feel sorrow.
Lol i remember when i started this game... I was a free to play noob and never heard of Guild wars and i decided to be a norn lol and man i never expected such a beautiful song in a game and it was one of the reason i keep playing Gw back then

I put this on with headphones when I'm at work, doin' dat paperwork. I just get disconnected from everything else around and feel like I'm in some kind of parallel world. It so happens that in this parallel world, paperwork is a totally zen activity. Thanks for the great upload.
Good times running through the Eternal Battlegrounds jumping puzzle and getting ganked by enemy thieves. I would listen to this until a friendly teammate came by and revived me. That's just one of the amazing things about GW2, the fact that everybody can revive you. Really helps make friends and makes you happy to see and interact with other players :)
I really wish this song were on Spotify. I grew up getting lost in Guild Wars 2 (figuratively and literally lol) and it's the first game I've actually managed to max out a character in, ever. I'm not in a situation where I can play it atm (my laptop isn't nearly powerful enough and I don't have a desktop computer anymore) but the ost has gotten me through a lot(this song in particular; I loved Lornar's Pass to BITS and it was one of my favorite places to just exist in). I don't really use UA-cam as much as I used to (it's too inconvenient in comparison to Spotify) but I can't help but miss this song.

When I listen to this piece I picture myself at the beach at night, sitting on the sand and letting the cool tide wash over my feet; a strip of the sea in front of me lit by the moon above the horizon. A gentle wind ruffles my hair and touches my face. I am away from all of life's tribulations and in total peace.
Ah, this music makes me wish for the original front end of the game with the GW2 Dragon logo. I would spend ages just listening to that. If I recall correctly there were 3 pieces of music that made up the title screen 'suite' The accompanied this originally: The GW2 Overture, this piece (Lornar's Pass) and one other... does anyone know what that other piece was called and where I might find it in its complete form?

It's actually still in the game. It tends to play in the Shiverpeaks, usually at night, but it can also play while in any dark area like a cave.

This was the very first song from Guild Wars 2 that I heard, in the beta, and it is still one of my favorites.
The Shiverpeak Regions are some of my favorite areas to quest in just because of this music alone.

I can't tell you how many times I fell asleep just to the atmosphere and the music of the pass.

Didn't know Lornar's Pass has it's own music in the game. But it fit's well for being the largest PVE Map in the Game ^^
