Made this yesterday. My husband said “you have never made a daal like this before”. He enjoyed the flavor of the dal. Thanks
What all to add for tadka at the end?
With that amount of ghee.. even plain boiled daal will taste good.
But did he fuk your brains out?
Men always have stupid things to say
3 minutes and 4 seconds to explain- you have my vote ❤
i just made this, this morning. it turns out well , packed of flavours, thank you for sharing the recipe! ❤❤
That's the nicest looking Dal I've seen.
Wow yummy my favourite recipe thanks for sharing
Looks divine, thank you!
it would be great if you could also provide the ingredients separately at the start, thanks for the recipe!
Do you want them to spoon feed you too?
Thanks for this,so delicious and colourful.
Luscious and comforting 🤩💖🌟
Please provide ingredients with quantity in the description itself...helps greatly while watching the video & trying out the recipe
Here's an idea: This person was generous enough to share the recipe with you. I"m sure you're capable of watching it again and writing the ingredients down. Maybe say thanks?
@@melodioushaste
If she includes the ingredients in the description it saves many, everytime they want to try out the recipe.
Btw, no one writes down things anymore!! That's the purpose of the digital space!
Unless you have lot of free time in hand
When seeing/referencing a recipe video, while cooking, havjng the list of ingredients in the description helps one gather all ingredients before starting cooking the dsh....rather than having to watch the whole video to know all ingredients needed, every single time you decide to try on the dish
Don't forget this is a business for them...they make money making videos, it's not charity or generosity...so it's not s big ask....one person's effort will save time of many viewers....instead of every individual viewer writing down ingredients individually...that doesn't even make sense!!
Also please remember likes are a way of appreciation which ultimately is monetized
@@mayak2676 LOL, stop being lazy. Write it down, or shut up.
@@melodioushaste Wow...someone clearly was not taught manners! Maybe before giving advice to others, learn a thing or two about being respectful.

Same cook. Like you I spent sometime trying to write down recipe.
Really very tasty.❤ Today I cooked at home, I have no words to say😊😊😊😊😊
This looks really good. I’ll try it.
looks like a great version of dal! lots of flavor
Delicious and super easy 😊
Thank you so much.
শুভ রবীন্দ্রজয়ন্তী, ভালো লেগেছে 👍👌
At last found a video that makes dal tadka without a pressure cooker. Thanks for this!
This is how I make it. Cumin seeds gives it the best taste and smell
Very Easy to make & taste is superb
Just made it, it was🤌🏻 The quantity was less though and everyone at home was fighting to have it.😂
Very tasty I have made this dal many times we can eat both with roti and rice thanks for sharing 👍 ❤
I’m gonna try this!
good sharing looks yummy😋😋😋
I like this recipe 😋😋😋
Dal should be comfort food, something to warm your body and feed your soul. It doesn’t have to be fancy or have lots of spices to do that. This simple dal is delicious, and it is also easily customized to suit personal tastes. If I’ve got potatoes to use up, I’ll add them. If I’m out of toor dal, I’ll use chana dal and adjust cooking times. This is a great recipe, thank you.
Wait can one add potatoes too? How does that work? I’d be grateful if you could share. Thanks!
Don't add potatoes in dal@@StonedNoob
Easy to make and looks very delicious🎉
Perfect 🥰 thanks for your recipe... hope to see you wit more videos...as there aren't much updates...pls do continue...it is one of my favourite ones😊
So yummy & delicious recipe
Looks very tasty. I watched twice- second time pushing to record all ingredients and instructions. Adding ingredients and methods would be very useful!🙏🏼
Agree. Usually people skip videos that doesn't list the ingredients because it makes the cooking process difficult.
Yummy wow nice recipe 😋🤤❤❤❤

Nothing beats Bangla cuisine.❤
We couldn't agree more! Bangla cuisine has a special place in our hearts too. ❤️ Thanks for the love and keep following for more delicious recipes!
This is made all over India. What's Bangla about this?
Salt in with uncooked lentils?
made this a few days ago and ooooooh man I’ll never make dal any other way, substituted the salt for a couple splashes of fish sauce too, sublime
Can i use methi seeds instead if so how much in substitute
You can use anything. You don't need anyone's permission -- it's your food. How much? No idea. Try "some". Unless you go crazy, it'll be fine. If you added too much, add less next time. If you didn't add enough, add more next time.
Last er dike kiser tarka dilen daler upore eita clear holam na...
I liked this recipe because of no pressure cooking
There's no cooking video without using red chillies!
1st one to here...😊
Daal paka lijiye fir.
Wow. Yummy recipe😋😋😋
I think the lentils should be a little blander to balance the spicier curry- but that's me
Can I use black pepper?
Of course you can. You don't need anybody's permission to cook your food the way you want to cook it.
Recipes are just a handy starting point. Add, subtract, or adjust ingredients to your liking. It usually takes me three tries to get any recipe "perfect".
What brand of Kashmir chili powder was used? It’s so red.
What did you add in the end
Think you're on about warm 'ghee', Indian butter.
@@GarethVaughan-my1fwsouth Asian
for everyone wondering what "ghee" is: cleared butter, slightly burnt. Kicks the flavour.
That’s not ghee
normal korai a ki moong dal and cholar daal norom hoy 🤔

add some coconut milk. you won't taste dhal curry without it again
Loved video. Didn't like the difficulty in finding a printable recipe....
Don't use salt while boiling daals...it will slow down the time of boiling or the daal will not boil properly 😊
Unsalted dal tastes worse
I don’t know how would that happen because saltwater is supposed to boil quicker, scientifically
Yes, adding salt at the start increases cooking time. Salt retards the hydration of dals and legumes.
@@PP-wy5uy Didn’t know that, thanks for the info
@@jaypurohit2036 Add salt to the tadka, which is mixed into the dal at the end.
what is toor daal?
Looks like chana dal but toor dal is lighter.
Orohor dal
Yellow split pigeon pea.
Arhar dal 😊
Chana dal hard to cook. I never buy it. I buy only split masoor dal. Quick to cook.
cooking oil two table spoons? Do you think that was two table spoons you put?
My mum cooks like this and we are Hindu Bengalis
Bah...eitake daal bola hoi!!
Yeah, if you can find split pigeon peas and moong dahl.
Where do you live in the world that there isn't an Indian grocer? Antarctica?
What's the point of oil in the water while boiling? It just floats on top.
It helps the dal to cook fast and evenly 😊
@@SATHESKITCHENNot if it's just floating on the top and not interacting with anything...
Nps❤🎉🎉🎉
Nice recipe but horrendous 'music'
This is south indian killi potta saambaar. 😂
Like dun
Outstanding x
Please give bangla name besides the English name of the ingredients

Toor dal ki aunty?
Arhar dal
@@jasminepaul7291 thanknu apu. Tbe r kono common nam nei eitar?
Buter daal ty to nki ?
@@ummenisat-nt1jf no toor dal is not bengal gram, cholar dal or dabri dal or enkar dal. It is another variety of dal used mainly in gujrat and south india
You missed putting in the kitchen sink….
Rather agree
Let that sink in, you'd prolly have a hard time the next morning sending it off.
Sorry, I stopped watching when you unnec added loud and irritating noises as "background" music. My ears are precious to me
Good recipe but the music is unnecessary. Please cut the music and instead showcase the natural cooking sounds.
