I feel like Kenpachi would instantly get slammed by Battle Beast just based on the speed gap alone. I think Boros from One Punch Man would be a great contender against Battle Beast since they too share similar themes/connections
The best thing about battle beast is how they introduced him as if he was just a random side villain then out of nowhere it just so happens he might be one of the most powerful in invincible.
For me it really helped the transition to the interplanetary scope later in the comics. It makes the universe instantly larger, alludes to where the story will go, and gives this tremendous milestone for where the power scaling would go.
to be honest that should actually be a standard for all villians. it be funny as hell the mc is going hulk all the hired help then one magically becomes thanos and whoops his ass.

I like how Battle Beast basically showed up in what would have been a filler Arc. It's so absurd he was even on Earth for ANY job. It's like hiring Galactus: Eater of Planets to back you up for a street fight.
Not really. back Remember the fight at viltrum? When omni man stood up to thragg for 3 pages while battle beast got literally one-shotted by thragg? Battle beast got a MASSIVE power-up alter in the series.
Omni Man was shown floating from a distance looking at Battle Beast beating the crap out of Mark and the new guardians but chose not to interfere. He knew better lol. He helped out Mark when he was getting beat by the leader of the alien invasion species (forgot their name) and yes a factor definitely was him wanting to scare them off since he wants Viltrum to conquer Earth, not any other race but he does genuinely care about Mark and he demonstrates it several times throughout the series. He's the type of character that knows his limits and he does what's in his best interest at the time and against Battle Beast he likely would've been killed since he could've been seen worthy enough to be unlike the heroes on Earth that were much weaker than Omni Man.

Against Thragg he was already close enough to swing at, he likely felt the tension and felt as if he had no other choice plus it's more personal with him since you know..he's the dictator/tyrant of his people. With Battle Beast it's more of-why put yourself in harm's way when he hasn't even noticed your presence. Think of it as being weary of a predator in the wild, you respect it from a distance, you'll fight if needed and you may not necessarily be afraid of it but you're aware of what said predator is capable of; same applies here.
His top 3 not too 2 he gave himself a handicap against the egg cause threg had a whole in his stomach but mark was able to beat threg when mark was tired after figthing all of threg kids when all threg was doing was wiping the floor with Omni man

Another thing that should be noted about Thragg vs Battlebeast Don’t smart cells allow Viltrumites to fight at full power even with normally fatal wounds, Battle beast doesn’t have smart cells so wouldn’t that mean Battle beast was in an even more nerfed state physically than Thragg
@@jot_1867 That's not skill, it's an innate biological advantage (and really a superpower in and of itself). It means that Battle Beast became more and more fatigued throughout the fight and with each injury like a normal organism, while Thragg didn't. Despite this, Battle Beast nearly won. The argument presented in the comment we're replying too is that if Battle Beast had a similar ability, he'd likely have won, which is a compelling argument IMO.
No where in the comics is that ever stated or implied. And it would go against the theme of the climax (Thragg was in so much pain from the sun he was slowed down, mark was accustomed to pain and won).

I felt it was bad writing. It never explained how he is able to access a network of alien assassins/bodyguards/fighters. If he was able to contract battle beast, why didn’t Cecil when he needed to stop Omniman?
It makes so much sense that Battle Beast is voiced by Michael Dorn in the show. For those who don’t know, he played Worf in Star Trek TNG and DS9 and he was all about being a warrior and fighting with honor.
Actually, he would have crushed him, but he probably would have thought the fight to be entertaining and worth his time as Thragg himself (who is similar in strength to BB) stated that Nolan was strong and respected that strength and would have otherwise been a worthy candidate to lead the Viltrumite. Yes Thragg was much stronger than him, but Nolan is still one of the strongest of his kind and would probably earn BB's respect at least
I found it weird watching the show and seeing Mark get owned by sidekick goons and as the fight progressed Battle Beast was clearly Omniman level and not an ordinary goon.

I've always argued that Battle beast would have won that fight against thragg if it was a regular 1v1. In the panel when Thragg finally kills him you can see he pulled and destroyed his heart from none other than the wound he inflicted on himself. Even more the cut on his stomach was way deeper than what the Ragnar did on Thraggs's abdomen(the wound BB said made things unfair). I imagine that as the battle went on for days Thragg got more and more desperate, and resorted to using the only major wound Battle beast had as an advantage. Cause in that last panel you see his body is mostly damaged superficially, except for the one place he injured himself.
I can't agree tbh Thragg just has way better feats and the only other time they fought he one shot Battle Beast. I do think with his weapons he has a better chance but that means Thragg could also use them against him. The only guys I see beating Thragg 1v1 fair fight would be EOS Allen or Emperor Mark.
Honestly I really like how they have all the definitions layed out and everything such as types of immortality or the AP min maxes for each tier. But man they can’t place characters for shit.
I think both Battle Beast and Thragg were equal, completely equal I would love for their fight in the animated series to be that, 1v1 no one injured prior, no weapon tossing, 1v1 for an entire damn episode

So here's my thingie; Battle Beast would've fatally wounded himself regardless. If he wins, he wouldn't want to live knowing there were no more battles to challenge him. If he loses, he dies in the ultimate battle by a superior foe. I think Battle Beast knew he would've won with no handicap, even if Superman Freddie Mercury wasn't injured. But he didn't want to accept that he was actually the strongest, because that would've been worse than dying. Living without purpose
Good point. I think of him as a hot-blooded young man who would've settled down after having a kid.. Also, what would Allen have looked like after another near death experience? He might end up like the hulk or doomsday.
Usually when an overpowered character is introduced he or she needs an epic entrance, flashbacks or even the power of plot. But Battle Beast? He gets there, he wrecks shits and leaves bored and unsatisfied because the main characters and their friends are too weak against him. Wow what a Chad.
Man, battle beast is like an intergalactic Kraven the hunter. Id like to see him go up against someone like Sentry, Thor, or Green scar hulk. I think their conversation and fight would be interesting, albeit 1 sided. Great video my boi, hyped for whatevers coming next👍🏾💪🏾

Technically battle beast has honor, so he has no reason to kill people that weak At the end of day, he’s not like a really bad guy he just wants to find good fights
If only beast wasn't so honorable and full of warrior pride and didn't fight thragg on equal footing he would definitely be the strongest in invincible
I actually had the same exact thought, that Battle Beast is the Kenpachi of Invincible. He's one of those savage goons you can't help but love. And I think it's clear that if Thokk had swallowed his pride and fought alongside the Rognarrs, Thragg would have died horribly.
BB may have "lost" against Thragg, but it was actually a draw fight, because Thragg would have died if not for his medical team saving Thragg after the fight. I'm not gonna count BB being unarmed against Thragg though, since BB specifically chose to be unarmed.
Battlebeast probably would’ve won if his gf didn’t stab him in the back, even if he didn’t a weakened Thragg would’ve been screwed against the Ragnars.

I hadn’t read the comic and when I first saw Battle Beast in the show that I was genuinely confused to the point I thought it was Omni-Man in disguise trying to teach Mark a lesson 😂😂
And let's not forget, by the looks of it, Battle Beast's wound looks a lot bigger and deeper than Thrags, also Thrags has some kind of regenerative power as well.
The problem here is that Battle Beats had to be killed because of plot. The comic book writers deliberately left it ambiguous. Yes BB injured himself to make it "fair". But at the same time Thrag was also injured. Who knows what would have happened if they both fought at full strength. BB has got better physiology for fighting, Thrag stronger healing factor and flight.
Remember when Yujiro Hanma said "i am the only male, everyone else is female.." , that's basically how Battle Beast sees everyone else with how he be fighting.
Fantastic video. I always appreciate it when you also go over the characters's history and not just their feats and abilities, like you did with Battle Beast's final battle with Thragg. Battle Beast vs Kenpachi sounds like an interesting and thematic matchup, although I'd love to see Battle Beast vs Boros as well.
Do another Battle Beast video against another character from a different franchise whether it be Kempachi or not. I'd definitely be interested in watching it
Battle Beast is just Yujiro Hanma if he was born as. a Space Lion or something. He wants all the smoke. He truly exists purely for problems. He shows up to your party, you better leave and hope you have insurance. Because somebody's getting knocked and that place is gonna be destroyed. Battle Beast may not be a Viltrumite in blood like Mark, Nolan, and Thragg, but he certainly has the warrior mentality to end.
Ever thought about doing an Invincible tournament of power similar to the Marvel one you did years ago? Sounds mismatched depending on how strong the top tiers are but I think it's a cool idea

You can wank Kenpachi to uni all you want but you can also get Battle Beast to uni via canon cross over scaling. On top of that no wank can get Kenpachi even close to Battle Beast terms of speed

I hope you do an episode on Atom Eve because, as cool as Battle Beast is, it's not like he is underestimated. With Atom Eve you have to use your brain and media comprehension abilities to understand how powerful she actually is, because she is not as hyped up and hasn't really been able to show off her true potential

BB fought and died with honour just like a samurai...he will only fight the bravest and strongest and fight till his last breath I can't wait to see more of BB in the upcoming seasons , this story really made me shed a tear once he died... doing what he loved fighting the most powerful adversary in my mind he won that fight
i remember when my friend complained to me how it was bad writing that Omni-Man didn't save Mark from Battle Beast in the show then I told him he was pretty much the 2nd strongest character in the Invincible Universe and he was just "Oh"
Battle Beast showing up in the show is the equivalent of: - Madara showing up during the Leaf invasion in Pt. 1. - Golden Frieza in the Namek arc. - Yuha Bach in the Soul Society arc.
To me not really. All of those characters were kinda hyped up and foreshadowed before they appeared on screen. Battle Beast was a completely random opponent who was just unworldly strong almost for no reason. He had no reputation or hype in the series. He's closer to Boros from One Punch Man to me as far as random impact

battle beast is the type of guy who wont get mad at someone or a group for trying too kill him instead he will get mad at them for not sending stronger enemies and for not sending a army at him
I remember in the comic those Ragnar lived in a planet with unbelievably high gravity yet they were able to jump high enough and fast enough to catch Nolan as he tried to fly away. I think them, and Space Racers were his toughest opponents.
I was so nervous for mark when he fought thragg cause thragg had his biggest feat defeating battle beast . So thragg had to get a little stronger after his glorious win on Battle beast but marks fathers loss gives him strength clearly
I just got into the series and it’s lore and I must say, I didn’t really have any favorites other than Noland AKA Omni man just due to the sheer complexity of his character but as of now battle beast is my top favorite. He’s literally the Brolly of the series and I am just like wow from this short but sweet video about him. If there was a whole movie literally just about him and his journey in becoming one of the most if not the most known and powerful warrior I would pay to see it. As somewhat heartbreaking it is to see such a character die I will say it is even more so heartwarming to see that he died not only for and doing what he believed in which was honorable combat but he died having the time of his life and even after giving Thrag and ass whooping and nearly killing him, Thrag still honored him as a warrior after death which is all a being like battle beast could ever ask for. He died as he lived, a fucking bad ass with I dare say it; no equal. Definitely the Achilles of the entire series and I am glad, honored, and grateful to have been introduced to such a character. Thank the stars for this UA-cam channel and your knowledge.
Battle Beast vs Kenpachi... that's rough. DC and durability-wise, I'd say Kenpachi should have the edge; he should be low-planetary to planetary in shikai, scaling from the ease of his asteroid and boundary breaking feats, and his Bankai would make him ten times stronger than that, however his endurance has yet to be truly tested. If Battle Beast can survive long enough then Kenpachi could be worn down enough to falter, and we know for a fact that Battle Beast had ridiculous endurance and stamina. The main issue is that, as of this year, Kenpachi's story isn't yet over. He's had over a decade to become stronger and perfect his abilities, which were still brand new during the war against the Quincies, and over the next few years we'll likely see him fight against the denizens of Hell in the new arc and show his new limits.
BB is def stronger than Thragg. It's the fundamental conflict to his character that he IS the most powerful, but also the least invested in the outcomes of the violence.
What's crazy about this isn't that Battle Beast would have won without the injury he inflicted on himself (I know he wanted a fairer fight since he's an honorable fighter) but one thing I don't see anyone mentioning is that he could've won as well had the injury not been as severe. By comparison Thragg's injury didn't seem as bad (it was still detrimental but likely not to the same extent from the visual depiction shown) plus Thragg's injury was caused by an opponent not quite on his level of power (just powerful enough to hurt him and he was caught off guard and being overwhelmed by multiple opponents while it occured) while Battle Beast is comparable to Thragg in strength and used his huge fucking sword to impale himself. The injury seemed larger and you see his internal organs exposed and even spilling out a bit. Mad respect, overall an epic fight. Also although Thragg won he collapsed immediately after due to exhaustion and injury so in a sense it could be considered a tie since he would have died if he hadn't been treated immediately by his subordinates.
On further inspection one could even argue Battle Beast came into the fight subconsciously wanting to die an honorable death to a worthy opponent. He mentioned he had been waiting for that day and a fight of that magnitude would give his life meaning. He had nothing to lose but everything to gain. Honestly had he won he probably would've felt unfulfilled afterwards never being able to find someone that gives him the same thrill as his fight with Thragg (unless he died after winning because he wasn't treated like Thragg was because in that case he'd likely die satisfied knowing he beat a juggernaut in his toughest last battle)
The first season of Invincible came and went in such a storm of quality and hype I sometimes forget they even made a show out of it. Sometimes it feels like a dream lol

I found it weird watching the show and seeing Mark get owned by sidekick goons and as the fight progressed Battle Beast was clearly Omniman level and not an ordinary goon.

Battle Beast is a pretty cool power metal band irl. They're pretty strong.
I've always argued that Battle beast would have won that fight against thragg if it was a regular 1v1. In the panel when Thragg finally kills him you can see he pulled and destroyed his heart from none other than the wound he inflicted on himself. Even more the cut on his stomach was way deeper than what the Ragnar did on Thraggs's abdomen(the wound BB said made things unfair).
I imagine that as the battle went on for days Thragg got more and more desperate, and resorted to using the only major wound Battle beast had as an advantage. Cause in that last panel you see his body is mostly damaged superficially, except for the one place he injured himself.
I can't agree tbh Thragg just has way better feats and the only other time they fought he one shot Battle Beast.
I do think with his weapons he has a better chance but that means Thragg could also use them against him.
The only guys I see beating Thragg 1v1 fair fight would be EOS Allen or Emperor Mark.
The bloodlust had drove him crazy.

If he wins, he wouldn't want to live knowing there were no more battles to challenge him.
If he loses, he dies in the ultimate battle by a superior foe.

Usually when an overpowered character is introduced he or she needs an epic entrance, flashbacks or even the power of plot. But Battle Beast? He gets there, he wrecks shits and leaves bored and unsatisfied because the main characters and their friends are too weak against him. Wow what a Chad.

I actually had the same exact thought, that Battle Beast is the Kenpachi of Invincible. He's one of those savage goons you can't help but love. And I think it's clear that if Thokk had swallowed his pride and fought alongside the Rognarrs, Thragg would have died horribly.
BB may have "lost" against Thragg, but it was actually a draw fight, because Thragg would have died if not for his medical team saving Thragg after the fight.
I'm not gonna count BB being unarmed against Thragg though, since BB specifically chose to be unarmed.
I'm still pissed at how he died all he they had to do was fallow his instructions.

The problem here is that Battle Beats had to be killed because of plot. The comic book writers deliberately left it ambiguous. Yes BB injured himself to make it "fair". But at the same time Thrag was also injured. Who knows what would have happened if they both fought at full strength. BB has got better physiology for fighting, Thrag stronger healing factor and flight.
I can't wait till amazon animates the Thragg and Battlebeast fight.

Battle Beast is just Yujiro Hanma if he was born as. a Space Lion or something. He wants all the smoke. He truly exists purely for problems.

I hope you do an episode on Atom Eve because, as cool as Battle Beast is, it's not like he is underestimated. With Atom Eve you have to use your brain and media comprehension abilities to understand how powerful she actually is, because she is not as hyped up and hasn't really been able to show off her true potential
Viltrumits seems quicker than battlebeast, but he probably has at least 15% more strength than tragg I think.
Battlebeast is way quicker on the ground than viltrumites, but he is slower in air, because he can't fly, only super jump.
Flight would have helped Thragg greatly too, the advantage in leverage would be significant.

BB fought and died with honour just like a samurai...he will only fight the bravest and strongest and fight till his last breath I can't wait to see more of BB in the upcoming seasons , this story really made me shed a tear once he died... doing what he loved fighting the most powerful adversary in my mind he won that fight

Battle Beast showing up in the show is the equivalent of:
- Madara showing up during the Leaf invasion in Pt. 1.
- Golden Frieza in the Namek arc.
- Yuha Bach in the Soul

To me not really. All of those characters were kinda hyped up and foreshadowed before they appeared on screen. Battle Beast was a completely random opponent who was just unworldly strong almost for no reason. He had no reputation or hype in the series. He's closer to Boros from One Punch Man to me as far as random impact

battle beast is the type of guy who wont get mad at someone or a group for trying too kill him instead he will get mad at them for not sending stronger enemies and for not sending a army at him
I remember in the comic those Ragnar lived in a planet with unbelievably high gravity yet they were able to jump high enough and fast enough to catch Nolan as he tried to fly away. I think them, and Space Racers were his toughest opponents.

I just got into the series and it’s lore and I must say, I didn’t really have any favorites other than Noland AKA Omni man just due to the sheer complexity of his character but as of now battle beast is my top favorite. He’s literally the Brolly of the series and I am just like wow from this short but sweet video about him. If there was a whole movie literally just about him and his journey in becoming one of the most if not the most known and powerful warrior I would pay to see it. As somewhat heartbreaking it is to see such a character die I will say it is even more so heartwarming to see that he died not only for and doing what he believed in which was honorable combat but he died having the time of his life and even after giving Thrag and ass whooping and nearly killing him, Thrag still honored him as a warrior after death which is all a being like battle beast could ever ask for. He died as he lived, a fucking bad ass with I dare say it; no equal. Definitely the Achilles of the entire series and I am glad, honored, and grateful to have been introduced to such a character. Thank the stars for this UA-cam channel and your knowledge.

Battle Beast vs Kenpachi... that's rough. DC and durability-wise, I'd say Kenpachi should have the edge; he should be low-planetary to planetary in shikai, scaling from the ease of his asteroid and boundary breaking feats, and his Bankai would make him ten times stronger than that, however his endurance has yet to be truly tested. If Battle Beast can survive long enough then Kenpachi could be worn down enough to falter, and we know for a fact that Battle Beast had ridiculous endurance and stamina. The main issue is that, as of this year, Kenpachi's story isn't yet over. He's had over a decade to become stronger and perfect his abilities, which were still brand new during the war against the Quincies, and over the next few years we'll likely see him fight against the denizens of Hell in the new arc and show his new limits.

BB is def stronger than Thragg. It's the fundamental conflict to his character that he IS the most powerful, but also the least invested in the outcomes of the violence.

About battle beast “defeating” a bunch of Rognarrs. You do realize that they were being mind controlled NOT to attack Battle Beast, right?
What's crazy about this isn't that Battle Beast would have won without the injury he inflicted on himself (I know he wanted a fairer fight since he's an honorable fighter) but one thing I don't see anyone mentioning is that he could've won as well had the injury not been as severe. By comparison Thragg's injury didn't seem as bad (it was still detrimental but likely not to the same extent from the visual depiction shown) plus Thragg's injury was caused by an opponent not quite on his level of power (just powerful enough to hurt him and he was caught off guard and being overwhelmed by multiple opponents while it occured) while Battle Beast is comparable to Thragg in strength and used his huge fucking sword to impale himself. The injury seemed larger and you see his internal organs exposed and even spilling out a bit. Mad respect, overall an epic fight. Also although Thragg won he collapsed immediately after due to exhaustion and injury so in a sense it could be considered a tie since he would have died if he hadn't been treated immediately by his subordinates.
On further inspection one could even argue Battle Beast came into the fight subconsciously wanting to die an honorable death to a worthy opponent. He mentioned he had been waiting for that day and a fight of that magnitude would give his life meaning. He had nothing to lose but everything to gain. Honestly had he won he probably would've felt unfulfilled afterwards never being able to find someone that gives him the same thrill as his fight with Thragg (unless he died after winning because he wasn't treated like Thragg was because in that case he'd likely die satisfied knowing he beat a juggernaut in his toughest last battle)
The fight also Took Days and Thrag has a healing factor while BB does not
