How to install a Mixet cartridge MXT07. Make sure you have the correct cartridge the other cartage that is very similar to this one is for a faucet not a shower valve. I have many customers call me with the wrong cartridge installed and couldn’t figure out why it was so hard to turn. The faucet cartridge is Item 58386, for the shower MAKE sure you get cartridge MXT07. Life will be much easier for you
How to install Mixet cartridge MXT07
Follow as I guide you Step-by-Step in the removal and install of you new Mixet cartridge replacement. Grab an adjustable wrench, pliers or vise grips, Phillips screw driver, some plumbers grease and tub and shower caulking.
Turn off main water supply
Turn on a couple faucets to relieve any water pressure
Disassemble
Remove old cartridge
Clean,grease and insert new cartridge
Test for leaks
Caulk and place gusset, set and wipe excess caulking
Reassemble,
Done
