I don't understand. You know you are diving 220 ft. You know you are going for very large groupers. You know you have limited BT. Why do you guys shoot very large fish with a shaft and chase them all over hell's half acre, when you could just use a bang stick, come away with more big fish, with less stress. I know it is not "kosher" to shoot smaller fish at shallow depths with bullets, but, why oh why, do you not do it, with very large fish on very deep dives. Makes no sense to me. I know I am riding the couch and I am not a commercial diver...... but I don't understand. I have watched all of your videos and I have seen this pattern more often than not. To be fair I have seen the opposite as well, but I just can't see a good argument for not ALWAYS doing it. Like perhaps the boss says at a predive meeting, "Remember boys, were at depth, with a good chance of Carbos, so lets have the bang sticks ready." How am I wrong?
Great job but your PH should have been loaded. I have seen past videos where the PH was loaded and ready. Overall great video. At that depth I guess you don't have enough time for the other fish that I saw down there.
What commercial show up , and when is mostly because of how you have your computer set up. So far he has no control over what commercials are showing up , and I agree that whomever picks the commercials should make them relate to the type of stuff related to the video . I personally use Windows 10 and Chrome on my computer , and haven't seen any commercials since I swapped over to those .
He purchased a block of hard rubber from Northern Tool I think it was that was made for bumpers on rear end of big trucks . He cut what he needed and drilled and honed out for PH outside casing size holes ( be sure to measure those while wet to get snug fit ) .
..he is a really good shooter , but its always the same with ricky. he get exited when he reach the spot, sees all the nice fish and take a hasty bad first shot. that first carboshot kinda ruined the dive..
I always chuckle when I see it’s Ricky diving the site. You can definitely understand what he’s saying the easiest of all the guys! I wouldn’t say he ruined the dive. He bagged a carbo and a nice gag. Back divers probably cleaned up the rest of the gags and scamp.
These guys prefer to use the shaft alone unless obviously really big or dangerous . He just missed getting the spear for a stone shot , and was forced to chase it down . You heard how he liked that end result . These guys try for one-shot kills , and practicing that keeps making you better and better so you have more time for multiple fish in what time you have on the bottom .
Aluminum casing holding a rifle cartridge to make an explosive blast out the front to take out bigger fish , or for defense . He uses a Russian military round ( 7.62x54R ) which already comes sealed on the primer and bullet and works great even in the deeper water .
Yes , if you only had more time ( 3 - 4 min MAX ) to explore and see what else is there . Any longer down there and you have to pay a HUGE amount for extra deco stops on the way back up . Even one min extra will add 5 - 6 min ( at least ) to getting back up top .
He has been getting his lights off Amazon but sending others there has only ( so far ) found them sold out again . Those things do not stay available for very long .

All the commercial fisherman I know, myself and family included would rather burn our books when we retire than sell the numbers to the go fast center console boats who stole most of the numbers they have(zapping boats with their radar, straight up running on someone or bringing gps's on chartered trips). Then again it sounds like you have more experience on the water and with commercial fisherman than I do....

I was fishing the big Elbow the last 3 days and slayed the snapper and Scampy everyone caught our limits on American Red Snapper
