I actually remember when they were filming this in Glasgow, it was pretty cool. They had a lot of Glaswegian's (people from Glasgow) playing the parts of the extras. They filmed it much in the way the World War Z was filmed except they filmed Scotland as Scotland rather than as Philadelphia. People don't really think Scotland when they think about filming but since its relatively cheap to actually film here I'd actually say it should be encouraged if you need to make a film where there's always cloudy, rainy or windy weather. We're perfect for horrors in that sense.

At 2:25 you say "the waters around Scotland were heavily patrolled and mined for resources". Obviously you mean that they placed naval mines in the waters to prevent boats from leaving Scotland. It's been a while since I saw the movie but it makes sense, they wouldn't place oil and gas drilling platforms there (who would want to work on them?).

Nothing like this could happen. The United States provided aid from the air in the form of supply drops for Germany during Soviet occupation. It's utterly absurd to suggest food/water/medicine wouldn't be air-dropped in regular intervals for Scotland by the EU/England/US/United Nations. Much like Anime, a lot of these 'end of the world' scenarios are very, very rarely given the authenticity they deserve.

Nothing like this could happen. The United States provided aid from the air in the form of supply drops for Germany during Soviet occupation. It's utterly absurd to suggest food/water/medicine wouldn't be air-dropped in regular intervals for Scotland by the EU/England/US/United Nations. Much like Anime, a lot of these 'end of the world' scenarios are very, very rarely given the authenticity they deserve.

No fly zone.
The no fly zone is silly. I mean i could believe no civilian/un-authorised flights but a 1st world nation like the UK would never abandon alll of Scotland. Food shipped in, refuge shelters. Prehaps a huge quarantine like this may be nescassary but you wouldn't just let half your nation go into anarchy just because theres a slight risk of escaping quarantine. Even if this were the right choice to avoid any risk no politician could get through this idea of abandoning Scotland, basically political suicide.
