Here's one seemingly minor detail that can go overlooked with Diesel Exhaust Pipes and clamps. Something so simple can really slow down assembly and cause a lot of frustration.

Great tip on the clamps!!! My mechanics have replaced the gaskets five times and it kept leaking. I go out and check, sure enough they are on backwards!

I’m leaking from the clamp closer to the turbo (2019 Cascadia) replaced seal and clamp 3 times and it still leaked causing smoke when burning off. This time I put new exhaust pipe, new exhaust manifold piece that 7th injector is bolted to , new 7th injector (injector housing, injector and seal) and new clamp and seal AGAIN! after all that it STILL LEAKED!!

Sorry if I missed it, but did you say which orientation it should be?
I.e does “steeper angle” side sit on muffler side or dowpipe?

Thanks for a educational vedio, exhaust leaks causes fault codes, and can lead you in a different direction in diagnosis, if you don't check for good tight exhaust connections!

New volvos don’t have bellows. You have to buy the whole turbo flex pipe and it’s $1400 CDN. WHAT A RIP OFF

Men you are not lying man it's an headache I'm still trying to figure out why I'm still having leaks when I do Regen on my dd15 It leaks from the turbo pipe to the flex whatever that pip call flange Bell pipe whatever it's called and then the second elbow I think they sold me the wrong clamps I'm not sure what size or how or what.

I am having the same problem in the same location on my volvo. I have been through 4 clamps and 5 gaskets. It is still leaking. Did you ever fix your problem? And how?
