Amazing video, TY. Is there a universal code we can use when resetting the data on the filters and whats a cheap way around this step if you don't own fancy, high-end equipment?
I have two filters in my box Freightliner says they are identical filters The SCR and DOC are inside Is this correct ? What was the time on replacing both filters in video ? Please advise Thanks
Yes. There are two identical DPF filters in the one box. These filters are the only serviceable filters in the one box. The two DOC filters are the filters directly to the right of the DPF filters which you can see in the video. The DOC filters are not serviceable. The SCR is not serviceable and not able to be seen without some kind of special bore scope tool. The time of repair for these filters really depends on the experience of the person doing it and the condition of the one box. I would say 2-4 hours is reasonable for replacing the filters (not including computer work and running a regeneration).
I’m not affiliated with these companies in anyway, but I saw these websites have the tool: www.powerlinecomponents.com/mtu-detroit-diesel/w470589026200/dpf-align-tl www.ddonebox.com/product/dpf-installation-tool/
The sensors would know that there is a problem and start throwing check engine lights that would eventually shut you down. You would have to have someone program your computer modules with a “delete” and then hollow those filters out. But of course, that is illegal and I don’t know how to do that.
@@alreyindustries yeah most of the time they are for me. That’s why I short cut it. Those bolts are always rusted so I just air hammer them. Probably just my location
SYMMETRICAL!!! That’s the word I was looking for!
Thats the best video I have seen on replacement. Thanks
You mean break those heatsheild screws off! Lol
Nice to have that tool. Hard to find it. Dealer never has one.

12411111111111
Basically any 14 character number but it has to start with 124***********
You can replace them without resetting the ash data but eventually it will catch up with you. I don’t know how to get around it unfortunately.
Where can I get that alignment tool
Thanks

Is there a cleaning agent that is better at removing the carbon?
What special tool did you use to block off a DOC before blowing it out
static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10074373-0699.pdf
www.apexinds.com/tools/307000.html
Is it a big issue to reuse the old clamps or its necessary to buy the clamps new?
You can reuse the v clamps. You can’t reuse the flat clamps with the two bolts on them. They have a gasket on the inside that is not reusable.
Do the 07 emission year onebox’s also have 2 DPF’s just no DEF?
Epa 07 does not have a one box. It has one doc and one DPF. There is no DEF till EPA10. For Detroit.
Recore the DPF filter and save a lot of Money.

Might try calling a local freightliner dealership and asking them as well
What would happen if you just hollowed out those filters
The sensors would know that there is a problem and start throwing check engine lights that would eventually shut you down.

@@alreyindustries thanks man. I was just curious. They don’t have emissions testing we’re I run
You don’t have to remove the doc intel temp sensor all the time
You don’t? I’ve done several. I’m pretty sure I’ve had to remove that sensor every time.
@@alreyindustries you can Wiggle it out if you take bottom heat shield under inlet pipe greats videos tho sir
I just unplug it and bend it up just allitle. Then fish the wire through the hole in shield.
@@hddm3 I guess if it is rusted or seized up then that’s good to know. Seems just as easy to remove it if you can, but to each his own.
