- Flight Details:
First may I say thanks to Air New Zealand for one magnificent Flight! Honestly one of the best in the 16 years I've flown. This Aircraft was delivered to Air New Zealand not even 10 days before this Flight! Listen to that GE90 engine start, find one better then let me know.. I doubt you will! You can tell on the wing how new it is, also inside smelt amazing! Ok Flight Details below..

Brilliant, Luke! Those engines are absolute BEASTS and give off an amazing sound.Looks like it was a great flight!
that engine sound on startup was amazing!
HOLY SHIT this is a primo vid! I could almost feel every sensation lol, niiiice!
I think that concept is sensational! It made the video that much better for me. I specifically took in all the subtleties you mentioned and it was well worth it almost like being there myself. When I reflect on LA specifically I can just try to imagine how many famous people come and go in the airport.
I love the 77W wingview! they have such a beautiful shape, especially with all the surfaces extended during takeoffs and landings...not to mention the GE90's sound, is just amazing!
Wow - gotta love the 777, and those GE90s sound phenomenal. It's always nice to fly on a factory-fresh aircraft too - last summer I flew on easyJet's newest A319 (G--EZGL) from Inverness to Bristol about 18 days after delivery. Thanks for uploading, awesome video!
Thanks for the amazing upload. That GE90 is one sweet sounding engine.
Excellent video. I agree with you, the sound of the GE90s spooling up is music to my ears :)
747 lovers will throw a fit, but the 777 is the sexiest airplane ever built if you ask me. Amazing video!
you can tell it is new.......those winds look rather pristine!! :D NICE video!!
just watched the Heathrow - LAX leg, brought me on to this now, more quality, well done.
that wing is absolutely spotless. great video!
Great vid as ALWAYS.....look at how clean all the wing parts look. Long haul flights are fun...get some great views.
Sends a shiver down my spine every time those engines!
2 engines for long haul !
love how at 07;00 the plane wings are almost warming up, stretching those huge muscles for the long haul, I'm a massive 747 fan but the 777 sure comes very close, such a beautiful aircraft
The B777 has been my favorite airliner, for many years. Thanks for these takeoff and landing videos.
Its looks like brand new airplane, the wing is extremly clean.Nice vid.
Excellent video.
And those GE90's.. Sweet mechanical silk.
Very well done. Excellent video and audio quality.
@LudeSpeed77 I asked my mate who flies the 777 fleet. "The 777 has 8 pumps, 4 primary and 4 demand pumps. 2 primary and 2 demands are powered by the engine, and the other 2 primary and demands are powered electrically. The demand pumps only operate when the pressure is low on the ground. The gear takes the most power out of the hydraulics, so in big turns and whenever the Main gear steering is working it'll constantly as for more power, thats why you can hear them going on and off"
this plane is sooo huge, its awesome.
A380 is a big plane but this one is great too! Love the 777
Look at how incredibly clean the top surface of that wing is!!... I love new triple 7s :D
You have a very steady hand! Great video!
Awesome footage, dude! something about big jets that get me going.
been on Air NZ from AKL-YVR, and that was only in a 777-200, Nice to hear that the 300 is just as quiet. although I do miss the roar of the good ol' DC10s!! :-)
great video! beautiful plane, and good luck Luke.
Thank you, that makes perfect sense. I remember on my way to Manila in May I feel our 777 do this once we left Chicago O'Hare.
Nice vid been on air NZ great service
Brilliant video Luke, top editing
Excellent video! What a spanking new plane!
nice video with good weather. Thanks for uploading:)
Thanks for posting this. I was involved with the IFE on the project and was curious of where the various jacks (USB, iPod, power outlet) were laid out.
man im in love with the 777 747 n a346 everytime i see one in action i go all emotional
That base hum of those engines are music to my ears!
Great video! Loving the view of the wing :)
That was fast, thank you. your vids are great!
i never saw wings so clean before, its cool to flight in a brandnew plane...
Probably the best aviation related footage I have seen on UA-cam. I was spellbound from beginning on. I keep thinking that the plane was supposed to fly east not over the ocean. I guess it has to stop in New Zealand before London. For me I would like to be headed to Sumatra to catch a boat to take me to the safe part of Skull Island:)
Thanks, nice video. Have tickets for this flight , premium economy. Going to be a great start for my London to Singapore by rail trip.
the flaps are sooo clean! I'm so excited to fly Air New Zealand in less than a month! :)
Great video! I was a little puzzled on my first 777 flight in December. It was a BA flight, YYZ-LHR, on a 772 with GE90s. When engine 1 started there was this loud, intense buzz and vibration. Now I know its normal on GE powered 777s! ;)
Nice job. Love that 777-300ER!
Brilliant video, last Saturday i caught a NZ 77W go around (taking photos wasnt on film) and i cauight it in a nice vapour.
Amazing filming! 777s are amazing:)
No need to thank me! Great video mate! Subscribed!
BA's 77W looks very nice, especially with their new cabin. I would fly ANZ again in a heartbeat! Actually, my next trip home will be with them.
Looks like a good one there Luke! Pretty bird...
Damn i miss flying ANZ.Awesome vid bro.Must schedule a flight bak to NZ in the near future.
Love this video. Apealling to all senses. Including taste.
Hey, thank you! Emm if you're travelling with someone I'd recommend getting Sky Couch as the extra seat and leg rests are really good. ANZ's food services are actually really good but I still eat before flying long haul just in case ha! You can charge your Laptop or Apple Device at any seat so that's really great too! Enjoy!
WOW that GE 90-115 B is very loud on start up, that must be one hell of a combustion chamber and a lot of fuel thru the jettison to get it started. Nice plane.
The 77W actually has two AKL-LAX's a day. One goes on to London like the on you see on the video, the other goes straight back to NZ.
Never seen a wing so clean.
Beautiful images. You have such a good camera.
That startup sound is beautiful
How enthralling. Loved it
Why not? The aircraft are new and modern, not to mention the 77W which is my favourite. Extremely good service. Overall first class airline, no wonder they won airline of the year!
@HeathrowSpottingHD
thats cool that.
ANZ have 2 flights a day to London I think.
One through Los angeles and the other through Hong Kong.
I love seeing the ANZ birds whenever I connect through Heathrow, never flown on them yet but would love to :).
Thanks! USB and Power outlets are more important to me than PTV's now. Since I don't use the TV's except for the map as I use my Laptop, iPad/iPhone!
Great Job
The aircraft looks new
Truly magnificent very good camera
Got the feeling that Air NZ is a hell of an airways. They are always fit for long range runs. Look at how they test all flaps and things. Air NZ: WE WANT YOU IN EUROPE, hehe. All the best from Spain.
@wisnu1231 B77W Is the ICAO Code for the B777-300ER generally used for shortening and on the Flight Plan. The Non ER is B773, the B777-200/ER is B772 and B777-200LR/F B77L/F. Hope this helps!
Love the in flight entertainment system plus USB sockets etc.Much more modern than some of the aging BA 747's.
Aircraft goes AKL - LAX - LHR I believe. Awesome video!
The formal service on SQ is what made them famous and an airline that is envied, despised and emulate in the aviation industry ;-)
I love 777-300ER!!
Beautiful video!
Sad news. Unfortunately Air New Zealand will be dropping Heathrow journeys from October 2020 but still continue flying Los Angeles to Auckland. The Heathrow bit will be replaced by non stop Auckland to Newark service on B787-9
@TheYay1995 There's a blanket and pillow on the seat, there is 2 big pillows and proper duvet in the over head compartment. I was travelling with my mum so didn't lay down or anything just put our legs out. To me on these 12 hour flights it's worth it! Nice to be able to move around and get some great Window seat options! I don't like how ANZ don't have online Check-in and they just seat you wherever there is room. If you upgrade you get a bigger range of places to sit, depends on number paxs.
@rpg481 Yeah the 777 is my favourite! That's fantastic, best of luck for all of that!
@steven8hamilton Affirm, it Lands, new crew come on, gets the normal cleaning etc. Wasn't that many people connecting through to London obviously as the Check-in was packed.
Your video is amazing! Can I know what Camera you used to film it, the quality is great.
@Ozinater Yeah that's how the GE's roll! It's weird flying on a Aircraft with Trents or something after as you expect a loud buzz but you never get it! I love the GE90's!
By far Air New Zealand has the most colorful paint schemes than any other airline. That new 787-9 painted in the All Black's rugby team..and then the 777's that are painted in either the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings.
They are not colourful at all compared to some......if you want to see colourful google "wunala dreaming images".
Love the video -aren't there any equivalent videos of similar quality on You-Tube that shows LAX to Auckland flights via an Air New Zealand 777-300ER or 787 Dreamliner?
Great work Luke :)
Hey Luke! Great video. I was wondering what airline are you hoping to work with? Please answer & thanks! Good job. :P
Interesting. I remember flying over Greenland - perhaps that's only a faster route when the weather is mild.
Nice !! seem that's a new airplane
The GE90-115B that on the -300ER's and some 200LR's have have the loudest start up. However they're surprisingly not as loud as you'd think on departure and in-flight. They're more quiet than a B747 or A346 in my opinion. 200ER same story I guess, some have Rolls Royce Trents & Pratt Whitney engines. The PW's start isn't half as loud as the GE's but on departure they can scream a little! Same story for the RR's.
love that new wing cleaness.
@TheYay1995 Yeah there is no seating next to that Stand, you board a bit further down and walk down then the jetway is there.
Great video!!
Funny...at the In N Out ....when those 777 light-up and head down the runway....the burger parking lot and air vibrates sometimes.
Glad to hear! Thank you.
@TheJaydowgg And why is that? Most Aviation and 777 fans would want to hear the Announcements, Pushback, especially Engine start if you're a 777 fan with those GE90s. Control Checks etc. The only part I'd say skip and that's the taxi after pushback to the Take-off.
cleanest plane! LOVE AIR NEW ZEALAND...
Exactly! That service is actually being cancelled on the 5th March. I imagine most people will choose to go via LAX. Or they hear about how much nice the -300ER's are compared to the 200ER's!
@Gabardos Southwest? I think? Taking a guess about which one your on about haha! Thanks!
this 747 lover gets my vote though, boeings finest hour
Lovely video! I too am doing my PPL :)
definatley i love the 777-200LR with the GE90-115b engines!! *druels*
@dublinairportplanes It was probably a little over 3/4 full. That's because Flaps 15 was used so the V1 & V2 speeds are lower than if it was a Flap 5 Take-off which is more commonly used. Flaps 15/20 is only really used on shorter Runways with a greater TOW. At an Airport say Heathrow with an 11,000ft Runway normally Flap 5 is good. All depends on Weight and Runway length!
was it a full flight? Thank you for the videos! We just booked this flight on ANZ to LHR..
do they give you a amenity kit in economy class ?and how did you get the extra blanket and pillow for economy sky couch, they gave it to you at the boarding gate or inside the plane or at check in??
@Techfa Actually due to some Issues with my Passport Expiry date I've had to get a renwel while I'm here. Once that's complete all I need to wait on is my TSA Clearance, get my Finger Prints done back in the States for it then I'm set! So looking mid/end January to properly start :)
I love it when people have a right dig at you on UA-cam about your videos. The "criticism" above isn't criticism. As he said - if you don't like it just watch something else. When you pay someone to film you a video then you have the right to choose what goes into it
Ok. Thanks for explaining!
Excellent set of videos. What did you think of the "SkyCouch" product?
@iloveairfrance It's impressive, I love it!
