- BY FULL FLIGHT IT MEANS IT INCLUDES ALL MAIN STAGES OF FLIGHT; NOT LITERALLY THE WHOLE FLIGHT!
Not as long as my other flight videos, not to much to film really. Plus I had a flight attendant telling me to stop filming on engine start so was dodging her on take-off and approach. Anyway enjoy it, plus I know not many people have the time to watch a hour flight video! ATC was turned off by the Captain unfortunately. I got the chance to have United's new cabin which I'll say is a nice change, more spacious but could of made screens bigger. Pretty cool air to air with the AF A388, we were with him all the way to LAX. Here is some flight information;
Airline/Flight: United Airlines UA/UAL935
Route: EGLL/LHR London Heathrow SID:CPT3F - KLAX/LAX Los Angeles STAR:RIIVR2
Time/Date: Wednesday 27th June 2012, DEPP 1030 Local ARR 1320 Local
Seat: 31A (New United Cabin)
Aircraft: Boeing 777-222/ER N226UA

More videos on the way, expect some Pilot training videos and some LAX action soon.. plus lots more from LHR!
I'd say 95% full. These routes always are in the Summer months.
I believe it's out of service now. I think it may be pulled down soon along with the old control tower :( The new radar by T4 is the primary one now. Looks so weird seeing it static, not good!
OH YES! Love the hydraulics sounds in the 777! I flew on it 3 times and it's great to fly on it every time!
Great video!
BEST UNITED B777 TAKEOFF!!!
This'll be me next Friday.
Can't wait, my first 777!
You are on the same flight number that I will be on.
Anyway, thanks for uploading the vid :)
For some reason i find watching these relaxing especialy since its perfect quality.
U got another fan here for hour/or more flight vids ;)
Another great job Luke! I remember having my camcorder on during take-off of a flight from Chicago O'Hare to Frankfurt Main as I was going on a vacation trip. Two weeks later on the return flight an American Airlines attendant took a hissy fit ordering that I turn off my camcorder as we were on approach for landing into O'Hare. Guess she had to play by the rules!
thank you so much for taking the time in producing these videos! good quality!
Yeah but it's the fact I didn't film too much either. I wasn't feeling too good this trip, if they'd had ATC on it would've been a lot longer!
Hey I recognise you from the PMDG forums! Nice vid man Great to see another person impatient for the PMDG 777
love the difference in weather
went to orlando via BA last year
The A380 in flight is amazing - thanks
Nice video! Looks beautiful over in LAX! Not so much in London! Haha!
The Hydraulics make those sounds when doing various things. Vary on different aircraft. On touchdown it would have been the Speedbrakes making those noises. You hear that sound often when the 777 taxi's as it happens then also.
Lol.. yeah hate it when flight attendants tell you to turn your cameras off. I always wait for them to walk pass then I start filming again. :D
Nice video!
Not too far in, I stopped late April so I was left pretty much ready for my Solo. I just need to do Spin Recovery Training, Unusual Attitudes & more Circuit work prior. First flight back is next Friday! I've done 17 Hours with Ground & Flight combined.
Isn't it wonderful to see a blue sky - miss it so much lol!
You have to lean over a little bit for the window but you do have a window. In the new cabin you're more forward so it's not bad. In the old cabin however I had to lean over quite a bit, which killed my back/neck after. If you have the old cabin then get 25A not 26.
I like it because it can take good photos as well as video - I've got some up on airliners! However I would strongly suggest looking at Sony's newer Camcorder selection since having things like an external mic input is important, which these camera's do not. I would upgrade, but I don't film half as much as I used to.
I've never flown Business/First which is where those seats normally are. Long Haul anyway! My latest short haul flight I sat next to the engine on the A319, nice change for sure.
Very nice great air to air shots
amazing
man i haven't traveled for a long time
The safety video seems so calm, but when the real thing happens, there is chaos lol
A little over 10 hours I think! The Westbound flights can be up too 12 hours if the winds are strong enough! :-)
Cheers. Sorry forgot to put it in the description. N226UA.
I'm not sure all the different names for all of the different UAL liveries haha! It was the latest one after they merged.
Lol! At 5:41 there is a qantas a380 at the bottom of the screen!
I have my FRA-LHR to upload soon which is a nice one.
Yay a video by Jeff Smisek. Last time I was on united I almost yelled "shut up Jeff" because he was hacking away just as I the engine 2 was starting and I couldn't hear it.
I personally would've picked BA over UA. Maybe it's because I'm British ha. Unfortunately they were way more expensive. Next time I come back I'll fly them if the 77W is on one of the routes. If not it'll definitely be ANZ!
Awesome video!!
Its a shame they're taking it down. It was such an iconic landmark for heathrow
Nice video.
I thought that 31A (one of two remaining 2-seat rows) in new UA 777 cabin doesn't have a window. So it does have a window then, because you filmed?
those engines are PW4000's. the GE90-94b is only from continental aircraft
Ha yeah I hang around there a bit! Indeed should be brilliant!
United's ATC is available through the Audio Channel 9. The Captain turned it off on our inbound unfortunately. In my description of the other video I said how I got it on the video. I simply put headphones over my mic with the volume loud. Therefore my camera's mic picked it up.
Great video.. The pursor's accent is a bit weird though.
Great video as usual man! Congrats on the new cabin! Do you know the registration by chance?
I flew this route in 2012 on my way from London to Hawaii (Honolulu)
This 777 has the new post-merger Globe livery & logo, right?
That was an Air France Airbus A380 in cruising altitude.
Just ask the Flight Attendant before you get off on the door and they normally say yes.
What is the sound from 25:00 onward, just before touchdown that goes for some time? It sounds like the flaps are extending/retracting but they are not.
The flight Carrie Fisher was on...
what is that tailing behind that other aircraft in the beginning of the video like smoke or cloud puff? or maybe gas?
I saw 2 QANTAS planes at that airport. :)
Yeah really such a shame, massive part of my childhood Heathrow :-(
when uploading to youtube do you ever get errors saying the "Underlying connection was lost"?
itsd thae berry verryr gooojd
I agree that Americans are very sensitive about aviation. The US security would have a heart attack if they realized how people spot at MAN. Funny thing is that Europe does not have people remove shoes, but ironically the shoe bomber flew out of Europe.
There is always that flight attendant that is walking down the cabin before takeoff just when I'm trying to film.haha The pilots are about the only people who understand the fun of aviation, not to mention the thousands of cockpit videos online!
were those the prat and witney engines?
Yep, first time getting told to stop.. ever!
Luke, do you prefer the American Airlines over British?
Well technically the PNF is the one doing Air Traffic Control Communications (-;
whenever i become a airline pilot for UA i will never disable Ch9 on my flights. thats only if i dont fly for Cathay Pacific
My sincere apologies from a Brit, for the area you discover when arriving at Heathrow. But after a 20 min drive things will improve.
was it the new 3-3-3 seat layout or 2-5-2?
You should do more hour long videos. Not everyone doesn't like them you know...
NICE!!!
By the way Nice Video, But the captain was a lil annoying i guess... haha, and infact all the crew!!!
How busy was the flight?
were is the flight attendent from ????
Nice!!
Was this the "new" paint?
AMAZING Video!
July 27th 2012........is in 2 weeks :-))
Flight attendants like this.......>>> whorst case!
The Hydraulics :-)
How long is that flight is it 3 hrs and 45 minutes
closer to 11 hours lol!
Ok..... but its doing what?
A baby on the plane ? Oh my god...
Love boeing 777
Whoops ha!
oh ok

Those crying babies make me really want to get off the plane
