I am genuinely impressed of this game. I live in San Fransisco and I've sat in the 12 hour drive from Los Angeles to Las Vages. Although it is a bit strange where when going to Los Angeles, the highway changes from a 4 lane highway to a 6-8 lane, they have the general idea down when you are going down the coast, you generally see one side higher than the other side, they also perfectly recreated the mountains in the horizon. The highway barriers are what you see everywhere down the 101 and all the interstate highways. All of the hotels I was, although some might be missing all the major ones are there. I swear they made a accurate representation of California and Nevada

Just for future reference, and because I'm Grammar Nazi trash (Or, I guess it would be "Pronunciation Nazi" in this case) Santa Cruz is pronounced the same way you'd pronounce "Santa Cruise." The more you know. Don't blame me, blame the Spanish language.
David Gray You sure? I remember in his Desperate Housewives video that he mispronounced Cruz there too. Oh well, I'm not gonna judge either way. I'm completely unable to pronounce any part of the French language, so I can't complain.
Well I'll trivia you with this: in Spanish it would be pronounced Santa Cruth because of how 'z's work in Spanish. Unless Santa Cruz is irregular for unknown reasons. I'm pretty sure it's just the English way to say it as cruise
"When will America change to the metric system?" Dan, do you remember your ETS2 road trip? You're from the UK and YOU haven't even converted to metric! Joking aside though, yeah, we really need to convert to metric.
also the reason why the other people were going faster was because 1. the left lane is the passing lane and 2. Americans tend to take speed limits as more of speed suggestions
Things to know about American highways Dan 1. Left lane is the fast/passing lane 2. If you're doing the speed limit your not going fast enough 3. If you see someone trying to get on the highway via on ramp, move over a lane if you can because its the nice thing to do :)
fking love this game. Anyone complaining about only two states obviously haven't played much of the game, because the amount of detail and unique feeling each city has is very impressive and shows a lot. SCS has worked really hard avoiding 'copy and paste' style of development for a game like this. I for one appreciate that. Forgot to mention: All the states are eventually coming through DLC.
no, my name is hear early. Yeah my parents thought it would be funny, so when Im late and im new I can be all like "So sorry I'm late, Im hear early."Here in my garage, just bought this new Lamborghini here
+YTPmaster Because the icon represents the country in which it is associated with, and it should be associated with the country in which it was created
also tip for this game with the newer looking trucks, have your hood ortiment lined of with the line to the right of your lane and you`ll be almost perfectly centered
I live in las vegas, and I have to say, they did a really good job modelling the city. all the major and moderate landmarks are there. probably the best job I've seen a video game do.
Someone needs to buy this game and drive from LA to Las Vegas, just for the reference when your around Barstow, on the edge of the desert. "We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like 'I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive ." Hunter S. Thompson
"I'm going 60, and that 55 is still there, and everyone's going way faster than me."

Just for future reference, and because I'm Grammar Nazi trash (Or, I guess it would be "Pronunciation Nazi" in this case)
Santa Cruz is pronounced the same way you'd pronounce "Santa Cruise." The more you know. Don't blame me, blame the Spanish language.
David Gray You sure? I remember in his Desperate Housewives video that he mispronounced Cruz there too.
Oh well, I'm not gonna judge either way. I'm completely unable to pronounce any part of the French language, so I can't complain.
Whiteblooded Ah, okay. Thanks for clearing that up, then.
+David Gray Considering how the Brits pronounce Los Angeles, I doubt it.
TheRetroShepherd that's where I was born, yay!😊
Well I'll trivia you with this: in Spanish it would be pronounced Santa Cruth because of how 'z's work in Spanish.
Unless Santa Cruz is irregular for unknown reasons. I'm pretty sure it's just the English way to say it as cruise
"When will America change to the metric system?"
Dan, do you remember your ETS2 road trip? You're from the UK and YOU haven't even converted to metric!
Joking aside though, yeah, we really need to convert to metric.
Man, it's impressive how the game has had so many updates and DLCs over the years. Not to mention the graphics have improved severely well.
XD it took way too long to remember you were in America
also the reason why the other people were going faster was because 1. the left lane is the passing lane and 2. Americans tend to take speed limits as more of speed suggestions
MooshroomGaming Not the American people, the American cops take speed limits as speed suggestions.
They do kind of follow it, but everyone just goes 5-10 mph faster than it
Rimes with what? Because I said so. 😂
Andrew Behrend It rimes with rhyme.
Primm? like in Fallout?
No, like real life. :D
Pan kurczak No shit, Sherlock.
+Fancy “Wandwuff” Man Yeah, the towns in FNV are actual towns in the surrounding areas of Las Vegas, they're just scaled down.
When a highway says 60 in America it really means 80 and if you're in Texas it means just go as fast as you like.
Things to know about American highways Dan
1. Left lane is the fast/passing lane
2. If you're doing the speed limit your not going fast enough
3. If you see someone trying to get on the highway via on ramp, move over a lane if you can because its the nice thing to do :)
It's my best turn yet! *crashes*
dan that red truck was a peterbuilt
Pls do a road trip when they add most of the states
Nerdcubed cutting across two lanes to make his exit? he's a true Californian already.
i love the fact that Dan forgot he was in america in a American Truck simulator. Best part
I'm a cat and when I drink coffe I can type for 60 seconds its fddh meow meow meow
edit:wow 1 like
Afp95 much?
Haha prim! God I miss fallout new Vegas
simpleton creations I believe it’s Primm
so does it legit take 6&1/2 hours to drive between locations??
No. There was recently an update to make the world in 1:20. That means it is 20 times quicker on this game than it is in real life.
'You can't road trip across America. Yet' Is this foreshadowing a future Nerd3 road trip? God I hope so.
fking love this game.
AMERICA GREATEST OF ALL TIME
BOO SWAZILAND FTW
I live in Fresno lol
Same sort of, I live about 40 miles away in a little community called Yosemite lakes park. I go to Fresno every week though!
Does it look like Fresno?
Im hear early better make a joke,
I'm just trucking along,
That was shit.
That was a whopper of a joke, no nun intended
"Hear"
no, my name is hear early. Yeah my parents thought it would be funny, so when Im late and im new I can be all like "So sorry I'm late, Im hear early."Here in my garage, just bought this new Lamborghini here
"This is the James May of video games"
This statement is unbelievably accurate.
I feel like Dan is the embodiment of a new driver in America. Don't get distracted. Late lane changes. Going the speed limit. etc.
Why do you sound like one of those stuck up brits? American English just means it has our dialect...
I know I sound like an ass hole... But it really is one of my biggest pet peeves
+YTPmaster It annoys me when a program/ website has a language select and the English icon is an American flag 😡
Ben Paulsen Why? If it's made in America, then it will have that...
+YTPmaster Because the icon represents the country in which it is associated with, and it should be associated with the country in which it was created
+Ben Paulsen It doesn't have to be...
We totally need a 6 hour uncut video of Dan driving across America.
I almost didn't watch this, then I realised how absurdly hilarious it is watching you drive.
Here in america you aren't speeding until you are doing 10 over the speed limit, 9 over the limit? Nope you're good
also tip for this game with the newer looking trucks, have your hood ortiment lined of with the line to the right of your lane and you`ll be almost perfectly centered
I live in las vegas, and I have to say, they did a really good job modelling the city. all the major and moderate landmarks are there. probably the best job I've seen a video game do.
the day dan gets an actual license in real life the world will be a considerably more perilous place
Automatic thumbs up for Fresno-to-Bakersfield. I went up and down that stretch SO many times in my childhood to visit my cousins.
this guy has more awareness of California then most americans
Someone needs to buy this game and drive from LA to Las Vegas, just for the reference when your around Barstow, on the edge of the desert.
"We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like 'I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive ." Hunter S. Thompson
