As a significant portion of Jewish theological texts are written in Aramaic, every Jewish religious scholar speaks Aramaic - we're talking about a couple of million people, at least. Although they cannot be regarded as native speakers, they are very fluent and will help to keep this beautiful language alive, along with the Aramaic native speakers, God willing, for centuries.
