Used to play like this when i was younger and played a lot of league of legends. Ended up getting some pain in my wrist but after switching to resting my arm on the table the pain never came back. Not saying this is an unhealthy position but just be careful.
i use this and I aim train i rest my arm and use wrist to aim
Yeah. I legit use the entire fucking table space for full arm extension so the arm rests and doesn’t cause pain.
I used to play like this because of LoL as well. LoL was the first pc i got into 10 yrs ago.
this method was perfect in my opinion because i could move in 90degrees like a star, very accurately.
I was a spell-juke god at the game. but the main thing was Bottom Left, to Top Right Swipes and this was perfect for that. I played mid.
Now i play other games and its so hard to leave this style but you gotta perfect with what you got. Now i lean with my mouse keys in my arsenal with no forarm technique.
I play like this since forever and never had any pain in my wrist or arm o.O
@@LurioSensei1 it depends on your sensitivity if its too low you will gey pain

I’ve been playing wrist only the same way for as long as I can remember. Also, Xantares is a very good example of this.
RecoilM8 yea his aim is insane
1:51 ah yes, the freakin’ up and down y-axis aiming
I thought I was crazy for having learned to aim like this, couple days ago I even made pictures of my arm position to show how weird it is but I guess it's more common than I thought.
this position doesn't seem healthy for your wrist
Its not the greatest, I take regular short breaks and sometimes whole days off to let my wrist rest, although i'd be taking breaks anyway so, just be conscious of your physical limits, ya know.
I have been playing for a few months on this and yeah it isn't the best for your wrist, but it's been quite stable and consistent in terms of aim, my short distance flicks work REALLY well with it, but long distance ones are a little tougher with it.
@@panzerjagertigerpelefant This position is op for flicking, I’ve been working on resetting recently, at high sensitivities it can be tough to find the sweet spot again when under pressure, focusing on this in game has improved my ability to do so however.
Unhealthy position, could damage your wrist. More prone to carpal tunnel syndrome.
I've been using this grip all day every day for more than 10 years. Never had any wrist problems.
As someone who had issues with his back and slouching all the time, I can verify that I am using this even before the video and it's working like a charm! My total posture even while walking changed! Great video as always!!!
What about the keyboard? For typing do you have it the same way? No forearm touching table?
@@sleepingturtle32 yes I did not change my sitting position at all, just bought this belt vest thing to help myself not slouching and fix my posture. Even my aim improved a bit as I am not hurting anymore and not thinking how to sit to feel more comfortable!
@@Korkonakios yeah. I have scoliosis so whenever I sit down I always slouch but im going to get a back brace thing on my birthday!

Thanks! I promote products that I actually use
Hey i have some concerns here for the armor ... This thing doesnt help at all longterm. It only weakens your muscles and embraces muscle inbalance because some gadget makes you not contracting those muscles anymore. just like someone whom broke their leg and has a muscle inbalance because of the support hes walking with. Strenghten you rotator cuffs and traps and youll be good. ^^
@@olekXDDDD good point, but I think it can help with getting the habit of keeping the back straight. I'm already working on strengthening my back but sometimes I tend to just forget and hunch my back
@@olekXDDDD so don't wear it all the time
I've been doing this for the longest time! Glad to know I'm not the only one. I thought I was actively hindering myself but unable to adapt due to aiming this way for an extended period of time.

@@RonRamboKim do you usually play like this?
This video feels like a guide on how to get carpal tunnel or rsi as fast as possible
This is how I used to aim when I had a high sens and before Valorant.
Is this Volcano the same at the map creator?
Yup! He helped create cache and now works at riot games making maps for valorant
He wrecked shroud and party in custom games vs devs.
They're also ex teammates for many years in 1.6 and source. They were at the top of NA counterstrike for a long time.
@@RonRamboKim if he is in RIOT probably cache never will go back to the map pool
I used to use this position, and I'd recommend having something that you can rest your elbow on. It made it a lot more comfier for me when my elbow wasn't hanging.
Holy shit dude! This completely improved my aiming by a lot, thank you for posting this videos.
been using this for some time, mostly because the chair I'm using has armrests that sit just below the ''bottom'' of my tabletop, which gives me this natural posture when I place my elbows on them. This way I use my elbow as a swivel point and I don't really have to rest my wrist on the desk and that gives my a good mobility for my aim
You should make a video on arm rests as they are best to be used with this ‘position’. And this is how everyone should be playing!
I actually found this video while trying to AVOID this type of style lol. I play Valorant and used to mainly just have my wrist placed but after 3-4 months 4+ hours a day. Noticed my wrist and the top part of my hand to ache. Thinking it was just playing too much I took a little break but I noticed my wrist and hand to get worse. I now keep most of my forearm (little off from my elbow) on the table and I've been noticing my wrist and hand to hurt less
Do a video like this but for fast paced games in general eg. Cod Apex etc.
Kscerato changed his arm positioning recently
Oh god thank you! I used to think that I was the only one who uses that no-forearm position therefore I had a problem. Now I know I am not something absurd 😂🙏
Nice video! Will give it a try! Being a high sensitivity player I believe it might work well for me!!! Thank you for this! (I saw the video and commented while working, so there were some typos o.O')
I used to that have no forearm position. Then i got a bigger desk and mousepad. Having your forearm on the desk feels so much more comfortable imo
Sir please make a video on how to clean and take care of an mouse pad
This aiming position is very effective for me with sensitivity high enough to prevent wrist injury ❤️
but playing with high sens in this position will cause injury
@@Tahlrrr how does that make any sense lol you have to move your mouse less = less strain
@@dunK1x every single movement will be done with the wrist thus putting a lot of strain on it. all the load will be on the wrist and plus ur elbow is below the wrist making it stay at an angle and causing RSI or carpel tunnel in the future. lower sens will even out the load more so that the arm and shoulders can be used for larger movements and the wrist for only small and precise movements
Nice Video and I want to see a video on the making your perfect mouse that you posted on your Insta and Twitter
Literally Playing All Games Like This My Whole Life❤️
I've used this style since 2001. Back in the day huge "gaming" mousepads simply didn't exist and consequently the low sensitivity aim style wasn't really that common as there was too much mouse lifting involve, and also because most players were more used to arena shooters as CS really defined the tactical shooter genre :)
Ive been playing like that since i remember myself... It requires higher sensitivity than the high elbow touch. The pros are you adapt faster than the high elbow technique users, but the aim is significantly less on point. The best aimers in the game (Niko, rain, s1mple, xantares) all use the high elbow technique. So the pros and cons are kinda even
Hiko is the master at this play style it helps him control is insanely high sens. Great video it’s always a good day when a Rambo vid comes out!!
Hey Rambo I was wondering is a low sens like brax & faze niko bad for a game like valorant, because of flashes, jet dashes & sova darts. I feel like all the top players on Val are high sens players??
Dodging flashes is more about anticipation and situational awareness rather than having high sense flicks. You'll notice low sense players will lookaway just enough to not get full flashed. Like 90-110 degrees away. While high sense users can do full 180s pretty well in both directions.
Also a big part is just reacting fast enough, I have trouble with breach flashes but with Phoenix I can usually turn away with a full arm swipe in time from the sound or visual hints and whip my full arm back to the where I was just looking.
I don't think NiKo has trouble evading flashes in csgo, but I wouldn't be surprised if rain had a couple bruises due to the incredibly low sensitivity of NiKo and cold
@@zilliq I thought cold played at around 2.0 400 DPI?
@@ThatSteemBloke according to prosettings.net he has the same as NiKo 1.55@400
I've aimed like this my whole life, until I got deep into Destiny 2 PvP. I had to adjust since aerial jukes and vertical play is such a big part of that game. But when it comes most Kovaak exercises, I still hit better scores from this position.
I used to aim like this. Until the area below my wrist beginning to hurt and i keep wondering why my aim keep getting worst. I change the position of my mousepad and move up my arm till my forearm rest on the table comfortably. I would say that my aim are getting more consistent right now
I thiink shaguar played like that in 1.6 too !
I was very fun of sunman, shaguar and volcano
Suggestion:What makes zywoo such a good player? I think this is a good idea because zywoo has alot of common settings and i dont think he has anything special in his configuration maybe hes a talented player in general but maybe a explanation would be nice
looking back I used to use this style, but as I got more into this exact type of stuff of getting nerdy about aiming techniques I started arm aiming, and I guess I have fat forearms or something because I physically cannot use a base-of-palm anchor in any mousegrip without forcing it and pushing my wrist down, and going back to it it feels sooooo much better
This is exactly how I aim 😊
This is what I used to do, until I started getting pain in my fore arm. Combination of work, mouse that wasn't good for me and bad posture. I now sit straight up and keep support on my full arm. I can game more but my aim has suffered since.
Love ur videos man, love from Brazil!
😀
Already have back armour built in, spinal fusion gang rise up

Yessir
Fair warning, I tried playing in this position for over a year and struggled to find any mechanical consistency. Went back to playing with my forearm on the desk a few months ago and almost instantly have found my form. Placebo? Perhaps. Or maybe I was just trying to force something my body/ muscle memory didn't agree with.
Morale of the story, if you've got a good thing going, stick with it. If you're struggling, switch it up, (and by struggling I mean like a month+, not 4 games).
Interesting video nonetheless! As always.
I use this. It works pretty good.
I've played this since i started playing pc and played 7k hours on cs like this. Worked out pretty well for me.
This is was my go to when I started wrist aiming. Then I started to play CS more and used a much lower sens and got quite good at arm aiming. Now I can fluently switch between arm and wrist if need be.
Love your videos, definitely will purchase that back brace! That combined with my workout routine should fix and strengthen my muscles to stay in their natural position again:) Awesome video as always!!
For me I've found out that using my wrist and tightening my grip helps with flicking more accurate
i used it for 6 years and switch to forearm since i lowered it and now coming back to it since am using 3000 edpi
I don't have to worry about where to place my arm on the table because I aim with my whole arm on the table including my elbow and it's very comfortable
Also Xantares is one of the "no-forearm" players in CS:GO.
I used to play with my elbow lower than the table. Then I saw a video explaining the damage that can do to your nerves ultimately causing carpel tunnel. Still play edge of the pad but with my arm a little higher.
I always played like this the problem with this is it’s create wrist pain in the long term which I feel now
Pros aiming like that as a technique.
I aim like that because I'm using an old table with not enough space to rest my whole arm 😂
Heaton and spawn played this way too
I've been doing this since day 1 cuz my table doesnt have space for my arm
I had to learn to aim like this because of desk space. Good to know it’s not bad lol. I am also a high sens player
thank you for this!
My suggestion is
If you play games like fortnite, apex or pubg
I used to keep my mouse on top of the mouse pad
(Using the top line as an x-axis)
Forearm on the table
Only because so that I can control my recoil
Ron rambo kim correct me if there is a mistake or please give me some suggestions
Also HeatoN used that arm position in CS 1.6. When I entered the shooter world I played like this, but I saw that they said that it was not very good for the wrist, so I changed my way to put my arm more on the table, I don't know if it was a good decision since I was used to the other way
It was a good decision. Your aim will be better across all situations and games in general, plus it's better for you.
First sponsor I've ever gotten excited about!
This increases risk of carpal tunnel due to continuous stress on the wrist and pressure on nerves in the wrist. I would advise against it.
I’m fairly certain Liquid Stretch uses this method with his mouse pad moved backwards off of the desk a bit but I could be wrong ofc.
I've had a horrible week in valorant with my aim but this method just let me top frag 5 games
😮
Do you have long arms? I know this is a strange question but I really want to know so that I can try this...
I used to play this a long time ago, my aim felt a lot snappier, but was often inconsistent (so many off days)
Worth mentioning that this aiming method can cause RSI. If you walk around between games and lets your arm dangle to circulate bloodflow, it becomes less of an issue.
In particular though, wrist aiming has a high chance to cause RSI because you are anchoring your aim with the bottom of your wrist where your blood vessels are most exposed.
If you are worried about this, one of the safest ways to aim is to anchor your arm on the table with the part in between the forearm and the ebow, then make sure your wrist isn’t touching the table at all.
When I played csgo I got RSI when I reached global elite and it took me two years of quitting (only maybe 15mins a day of OSU to maintain muscle memory) until my wrist felt better again.
When I started playing valorant I got a new mouse and focused on arm aiming. This actually didn’t solve the problem since my wrist was still getting smushed against the table. Only after keeping my wrist elevated had I stopped having problems and all of a sudden I could play for 12hours a day and not have wrist pain. Before I change my position, I could only do 3-4hours before I had to stop and when RSI first starting in csgo the most ai could last was 3games.
Woxic wrist position like this also
If you need a video idea " mousepad positioning"
I think lekr0 aims like this too (from his deagle guide he did when he was still on NIP), so you don’t necessarily need to have a high sens to make use of this
Oh no, secret is out!
I use this aiming method a lot with 2.1 sens @ 400dpi (and with steelseries qck mini).
I just made my mouse posture to just the wrist to the mousepad (i used to play with an inch of forearm), and I got ten times better holy.
I do this except I have supports on my chair for my arms.
Thank you!
I think I am early today
Sir, I follow you for a long time. This is the technique that I Play with! There is a problem I want to add: During my gaming sessions, when i crossed 5-6 hours of constants playing time, I feel a bit pain at my nerves under the wrist and elbow joint, I tried adjusting my table & chair heights many times to fix this, But as you said(@2.48) that " *the key is Keeping the elbow lower than the table surface* ", *_ I agree!_* But for long time gaming it created problems for me ! For me, I find my *solution* : " *_After every 1-2 hours" gaming I do some wrist excersise(learned from your another video), It really helped me a lot !_*
Let me know if I did right !
thank you, Sir!
Hiko uses this aim style too
You forgot XANTARES and a retired CSGO player called Freakazoid. This aiming technique is suitable for low to medium sens (if you're an aimer), with high sens you can spray like a god.
Whats next? Aiming styles like xantares, hiko, and more?
I used to play my game in this way. My csgo sensitivity In-game 3.35 and Scope 1.15, 1600 DPI. Pretty High sensitivity lol.
I've been aiming like this since I started like, so like 4 years ago. I play on really low sens (400dpi 1.7 in-game) and only sometimes my wrist will be sore after. I always wondered how people have their forearm on the desk to aim
Be careful with this position. It can damage your wrist, like it did to me. I had bad wrist pains before I switched to having my whole forearm supported by my chair.
bcz it was not as ur personal preference some people prefer wrist aiming while some people prefer forearm aiming
@@RAJJU24 This is not about personal preference but ergonomics. The wrist is not made for the amout of stress this aimstyle will produce over time.
@@RAJJU24 I prefered wrist aiming, but I fucked up my wrist, so now I can only aim with my arm, and if I put too much stress on my wrist it's gonna hurt.
have been playing like this for 10 years never had any wrist pains same goes for my left wrist which is also on the edge of the table
@@DSSmemberBGhitman If that's the type of logic you use to justify doing things that have been proven to be harmful, I can only imagine what other shit you do and believe...
I've got about 5k hours on CSGO using this position, with my elbow on my chair armrest, sens 1.4 @ 800dpi. Aim feels great but posture feels too restricted at the shoulder, so I've recently been trying mid-arm (without armrest) and a lower sens (1.2 @ 800dpi), which feels a lot more comfortable overall but my aim and spray control needs serious retraining.
idk about the back posture thing, your muscles wont work out, you are just putting them in a certain position for a period of time without any workourts. wont the thing make your posture even worse or more loose?
I do both
i have been a no forearm wrist aimer for my 17 years of playing fps games, mainly because i had a super small space on the table due to the thickness of the screen back then ( literally takes 75% of my table), it just stuck on me since then, i cant even browse with my arm on the desk, its so awkward for me.
It helped a lot and I made my sens higher but the question is if I’ll stay consistent
*If you play games more than 3 hours daily then this hand posture is really bad for your health. You may suffer uneven shoulder, pain in the wrist, curved hand posture*
Really? :( i want to be professional but the forearm position already annoying me a lot at the point that im adjusting my arm almost every time (literally, in one round I adjust my arm like 30 times) and I can't concentrate in the game, if this no forearm position hurts too, I don't know what to do ☹
@@captesxel9681 You can play like that if you exercise daily. I am doing shoulder and hand workouts to fix my hand issues.
Tbh a game like csgo and valorant are different to a game like d2 or apex like in valorant u can get good with 30cm/ 360 with good crosshair placement but in other game were tracking a target is more involved a feel a slightly lower sensitivity is better but I am no trainer or pro so merry Xmas everyone ❤️
Can you make video about the most Commons aim techniques, Wrist/forearm for csgo pros etc?
This is how I've been aiming all this time
I’ve been using arm aim mostly because if I use wrist I stutter a lot. I have a decently low sens in cs because it seems more accurate and I’ve tried to get my friends to switch to a lower sens too but if they want a high sens I let them keep it. I just think that for me arm aiming is better, but of course everyone is different.
Could you make a video about the R6 player " CHRIS GODLY" his placement and grip would make a great video
I play with my elbow all the way on the table and it's super comfortable.
Pity my aim is shit.
You should do an episode on gaming chairs and if they acutally help

To everyone saying this is an unhealthy way of aiming, i‘ve been aiming like this for my entire life and barely ever feel any strain from it whatsoever. As long as you rest your arm and combine it with a medium sens u should be fine aiming like this. (1000edpi+)
Hiko himself literally said this way of aiming is less straining than other aiming postures so take that as you will.
me too, been playing for more than 15 years like this never felt any discomfort or pain
i would say that palm grip and putting your forearm on the table put a lot of stress on shoulder and arm
lowering sens, dpi and frequency of the mouse puts even more stress on the body

Well you cant know if kascerato actually uses his forarm in conjution with his wrist despite having a resting point, for example moving your forearm to the right could make ur aim turn left
