Stacy D Prayers don't do any good. Please, as well as condemning bigotry and racism, speak out against radical Islam. *If* it proves to be why this happened.
That would help everyone, including Muslims.
      Thanks

Please accept may apology in advance if you feel intrusion in your private spiritual life on my behalf. I feel obliged to respond, because you have made a public comment in the media and allege Muslims believe in a wizard in the sky (imaginary friend) that's why you say you wouldn't trust a grown man who believes in an imaginary friend, so you say ''you will never trust a Muslim'''. Please accept my sincere counsel, I ask you to reflect upon your spiritual defect of speaking ill against (sky wizard) your Lord, you're Creator. Didn’t He make you and sustain you? ask yourself when you were a drop of semine and then a child, and soon you will age and will be a gray-haired man, where do think you soal will end-up when you die. Please make an effort secretly or openly to Repent before your true Maker. Then it will become clear to you of your heart's rebellious stand, once you commission your heart to seek guidance from the true Creator, you will begin to understand thereafter most distinctive characteristic of a Muslim's faith in that can be attained, not by study, but rather by fruitional experience and the state of [wizard in (God) the sky] and “the exchange of qualities.” How great a difference there is between your knowing the definitions and causes and conditions of health and satiety and you're being healthy and sated! And how great a difference there is between your knowing the definition of drunkenness - viz., that it is a term denoting a state resulting from the predominance of vapours which rise from the stomach to the centres of thought - and your actually being drunk! Indeed, a drunken man, while he's drunk, does not know the definition and concept of drunkenness and has no knowledge of it. But a physician knows the definition and the elements of drunkenness, though he is experiencing no actual drunkenness. So also, when a physician is ill, he knows the definition and causes of health and the remedies which procure it, though he is then actually bereft of health. Similarly, too, there is a difference between your knowing the true nature of God and conditions and causes of faith when you're actually practising faith and personally shunning the excess pleasures of this world as Muslim tries whole of his life.

Of course not - muslims in London are just likely to get butchered as anyone else who was unfortunately there on the bridge that afternoon.Coverts to islam tend to be the most radical but that's another story.

James Marley I have one question for you. Since when did "Muslim" become an ethnicity? Honestly. British Chinese, OK. British Polish, OK. Black British, OK. I'm not seeing British Christian or British Buddhist. 😂 Get what I mean? If anything Chinese will fall under British Asian.. so I ask again, if you've ever filled out a form where it asks you to identify weather you're a British whatever; has British "insertreligion" ever been an option?

Michelle Inzunza he said "Britain" because most Americans don't know that Britain is made up of 4 different countries (N.Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland) the terror attacks happened in England. When France got attacked, did you write "pray for Europe"? I'm not saying anything bad, because the other person didn't know, so I won't "chill", how bah dah?

CTID I originally had said London but I thought that was insensitive to the situation and decided to edit it and state Britain. When the attack in France happened I stated France because I'm not that illiterate. All I was doing was being nice but thank you for the correction. I learn something new everyday greatly appreciate the clear up of what Britain is.

We need to applaud how quickly the metropolitan police reacted to its, managing to stop the attack before more damage could be done. A lot of people take our police for granted, but what would the world be without law and order? Chaos, crime etc. Police have saved our lives on numerous occasions. Sure, sometimes the police can do absolutely nothing, but without them, the world would be in anarchy. Thank you to all the police officers that reacted with such speed

Owen Stamp Agreed, I've lived in London all my life and things like this just don't phase us. That's why I'm grateful I was brought up here, it's given me that hardened resilience that so many British people have. Sure, in some areas you do get dirty looks, I understand that. For the most of London everybody is fine, we go about our day and and we all work hard. We don't whine about shit. We don't complain. We make do with what we have. Apologies, this has gone on for way longer than I had wanted.

El Tengo the telegraph posted that 8 hours after, they just edited the story they had already put up. His family actually live five miles from me. He was indeed raised a Christian and his name was Adrian Elmes. All i will say is religious people in general tend to be cunts, regardless of which religion. Religion is a terrible thing that has hurt so many and held us back for far too long. if you dispute this then there's little hope for you.

Nice one James, you are right no terrorist will break us as a nation. We are proud of our country and capital city, we mourn for those lost and injured but we stick two fingers up to terrorists, you will never beat us but we will beat you and we will do this by sticking together, all our diverse race, religion and cultures will show you we aren't scared of you, you can't bully us with your cowardly attacks, you can't divide us because we are one great nation standing together against you.

    • @lottejohnson250
      @lottejohnson250 7 років тому +9

You are one of the few people that gets that we are a diverse nation! Apparently people not even from the UK are making assumptions about the make up of our culture, trying to create a problem between white British and British Muslims. Which I believe is disgusting.

    • @wheelie26
      @wheelie26 7 років тому +2

I totally agree that people assume that all people from one culture are the same but nothing could be further from the truth. The majority of citizens are honest, hard working, family people. In all societies, races, religions you will find the odd person who has extreme views, doesn't abide by the countries laws and values but that is the odd person not a whole race. The vast majority of people in London, England, the UK are good people.

YOUR SOMETHING ELSE...AND THE OTHER THING YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT A CULTURE IS THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE IN ANY GROUP - THIS CAN BE ETHNIC, RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL OR A NUMBER OF OTHER GROUNDS - NOT OLNY THAT - NOT ALL CULTURES ARE EQUAL AND SOMETHING SHOULD NOT BE RESPECTED JUST BECAUSE IT IS PART OF SOMEONES CULTURE - REMEMBER THAT HITLERS JEWISH EXTEMINATION WAS PART OF NAZI CULTURE, AND MASS HUMAN SACRAFICE WAS A PART OF AZTEC CULTURE....ADDED TO THIS NOT ALL CULTURES ARE EVEN COMPATABLE....A DICTATORSHIP IS NOT OMPATABLE WITH DEMOCRACY, FEMINSIM IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH OPPRESSION OF WOMEN (JUST ONE OF THE VILE THEMES OF THE KORAN)....INSTEAD OF EMBRACING THE OBVIOUS IDIOCY OF MULTICULTURALISM WE NEED A FAR MORE CRITICAL EYE AND STRICTOR RULES ON WHO WWE LET IN AND WHO WE LET STAY...

Being from London, the incident hasn't really affected me or my friends that much. There was an increase in security ( a helicopter was one of the first things I saw this morning), but not much noticeable difference. I think we've grown so used to terror attacks and war happening all around the world, that when compared to such casualties I feel that our country is seriously overreacting, especially since we're guilty for those too. There are many deaths around the country affecting hundreds of young people from less privileged backgrounds, why haven't we emphasised news on that? I understand that Parliament is representative of us all and its a major deal that our democracy was threatened etc. but shouldn't we focus more on problems happening in the "real" world and not just the powerful? Do lives not matter if they're not useful on the world stage?

Beautiful words, James. I moved to London almost 10 years ago, as a child, when my parents relocated from Canada. I'm now 20, and this city is where I have grown, it has shaped me. I may not have been born here, but I am a Londoner, and a damn proud one. I love this city, and I love this country (I became a UK citizen in 2015), and I know this will only make us stronger. United we stand, divided we fall.

I'm not a Muslim but I've grown up with Muslim friends my whole life because I'm British and Britain is incredibly diverse. To me it's been a gift growing up in a society which isn't just made of clones. Nothing on the news in the UK has mentioned ISIS just that the attack is linked to 'international terrorism'. Reading the suportive messages from around the world and espicially from the States is heartwarming and shows no group or individual will ever take away our values or break our alliances. However, it appears many international news sources have just assummed that ISIS is behind the attack. As plausible as it may be its these kind of assumptions make normal everday people join extremist terorist groups, because they no longer identify with the country they love and grew up in. There are literally BILLIONS of Muslims on Earth if a fraction of them were terorists we would all be dead. Like others, this was an attack on Muslims and non-Muslims alike, it was indiscriminate. Thank you James, anyone who has been supportive and in particular to the emergency services who acted so quickly yesterday. Back to school in England today in a nation which will NEVER tolerate me sitting superior or inferior to other students different from me in the classroom.

We'll take a step back look at everything and put it into perspective and take appropriate action. You lot deal with your own problems and we'll be fine as always and just get on with it as Teresa May stated (but I'm guessing with it being American media that wasn't broadcast because it doesn't involve you).

That's a very good point and the only conclusion that can come out from this is : the blood of Syrian children and Syrian people is worthless to that of other parts of the world, it's strange how the media doesn't mention that or just mentions it once or twice and that's all. The root of the problem started when usa and nato armed random Tom dick and Harry and many of them have sided the death cult Isis or have joint different factions and even worse some have motive for money only, whoever pays more they will go there, and now Europe is pissed off why there is flocks and flocks of people fleeing war environment.and want to come into Europe, simple they want to live, had usa and nato not gone into Libya and have there hand in the so called Arab Spring then Middle East and North Africa would be more stabilised, but they couldn't do that because the real issue is that these wars are for some other agenda and not to bring freedom to the people of Libya, strange how gadaffi was not a target for 40 years but soon as he becomes a loose cannon and wants to trade in gold then people of Libya must be liberated for their freedoms. Pfft. People need to see the real truth, until then nothing gets better.

I live in London, and walking through it yesterday, it was very clear that no one was giving in to fear. Everyone was continuing on with their everyday lives, and everyone seemed to be closer somehow. I don't think I imagined that, I think it was reflected in people's faces and in their actions like the holding open of doors for others, just little things that seemed to be symbols of a greater unity and a reminder that we're all in this together on this planet, no matter our differences.

When a terrible thing like this happens it not only effects the ones injured or involved but also the innocent people who suffer later in the hands of racists!
I'm a Muslim and I fear for my kids as you get people who are literally hurling insults not only that hurting them physically by throwing acid or stabbing them in hate crimes.
These terrorist have no religion so I urge people to stop hate crimes, I was with my son yesterday and a van driver who drove past swearing and sticking his finger out in my face to which my son asked why he did that how do i make a 5year old understand that he's being hated for being a Muslim, for being blamed for something he didn't do.
It's a shame as a mother I feel helpless I pray to God that these crimes stop so we can have some peace and live in harmony regardless of whatever religion you follow London used to be a city of multiculturalism and was tolerant to all races now it's not the case. #sadreality

I am deeply saddened for lives lost in this cowardly act and my sympathies to the family of those deceased.
The coward who did this crime good riddance I hope he rots in hell!
And For all of those racist I do my bit by giving my kids a good upbringing teaching them against violence never to hurt peoples feelings to be a good citizen and guess what that's me teaching them the real Islam. I LOVE the English, it's culture, elegance, patriotism, the general civility of everyday courtesy and manners, politeness and good will. Sadly, the England I love is entangled with the scourge of Islamic fanatics who defy, spit on everything I respect about the British. There's no respect assimilation or the country that has welcomed them. Disgraceful.

You are english if you were born here. I have british muslim friends. They are just as English as I am. Where are you from? Because I would hope that an Englishman would have more manners than you seem to be producing. You don't assimilate to a country, you live in one. You respect the laws and you respect the people. I dont know a single Muslim who doesnt do that.

'Your country' is it? Must've missed your name on it somewhere 😂 It's not yours honey. And if it was, it's as much mine as it is yours - having been born and bred here. 'They want Sharia Law' lol, you're extremely uneducated. Lose this 'us' and 'them' mindset, because it won't get you very far; especially when some of the clothes you wear, the ethnic food you eat and the countries you go to vacation are more often than not predominantly islamic countries. Why're you contributing towards tearing the world further apart? Islam does not condone terrorism, nor violence nor hatred SO STOP CLAIMING THINGS WITH NO KNOWLEDGE. Terrorists, extremists, psychopaths all use Islam as a facade, to hide their insanity, to mask their true sadistic-ness. Islam has become the default 'blame' for all violence due to individuals who in no way represent our faith, doing horrific things in the name of our faith. It's disgusting. And as a Muslim myself, I'm as much against any sort of violence and these extremist left-wing psychotic individuals as you - so don't speak on behalf of my religion (when your only credible source is likely the media) and don't assume that '1.6 billion' people have the same intentions.

Thank you so much James. Like you, I was born in London but I've been living in Canada for the past 60 years.
However, that hasn't stopped me from feeling EXACTLY the same as you over this terror attack. I've been trying to find a way to explain what it feels like to be "stuck in the middle of the Atlantic": Part of me, a proud Canadian, but the other part LONGING to be in the city of my birth, just so I could stand alongside my fellow Londoners ans let them know - I STILL care. Couldn't find the right words, but YOU did.
Again - thank you SO much.
    And STAY SAFE, London...

I also think the media have an agenda to hype this up. It's basically one nutcase killing a handful of people, which is terrible, but doesn't merit the media frenzy

Bramble T Gangs of muslims do not go aroung raping people. There are however individuals who do, as with every other religion. Do not preach the righteousness of Christianity for when we die you better hope you right yourself. People are people, end of. There are the bad ones and there are the good ones. Religion is your excuse. Humanity is mine. Think what you wish. Do what you will. You can either provide the growth for division or wake up and see the good in people. A minority of rapists do not represent the majority of those who share their beliefs. Please. Educate yourself before its too late.
Furthermore please be advised that I am alligned with the biggest hackervist group on the web, I'm not an idiot and anyone who believes everything they read on the Internet is undoubtefully an idiot. JIHADS ARE NOT TRUE MUSLIMS, THEY ARE TERRORISTS - KNOW YOUR SHIT.

As far as I'm aware the world is round and only those who think they hold a higher privilege over other nations define themselves as to their location on a map. There is no "West" Mr T and there never will be. We are united as a species and always will be. If you don't like that I suggest you leave this comment thread and join the KKK or something.
