- 22 people have been killed and 59 injured in a suicide bombing at Manchester Arena, at the end of a sell-out concert by American star Ariana Grande.
The Islamic State group claims it carried out the attack. Manchester police have named the suspected bomber as 22-year-old Salman Abedi.

Robert Tech one of the ppl injured is a girl in my school and one of my mates had a panic attack this morning for she saw what happened and one of the teachers at my school was with their daughter and they got seperated but they found eachother and there now safe

NOTHING is wrong with this world that hasn't been wrong since the dawn of civilization. We humans made up the word "fairness" to describe something that does not exist. Some people do well in life, others suffer. Those who suffer sometimes take it out on those who they think are doing well. It's unfair, and it hurts. We need to feel the hurt, and we need to work to prevent suffering. That does not involve hatred. It involves help. We Americans were deaf to the suffering we were causing in the Middle East before 9/11. We responded to 9/11 with extraordinary violence. Now, instead of 3,000 dead US civilians, we have five times that many dead American soldiers, and some say up to a million dead Iraqi civilians, as well as however many Afghans died. Our actions have given rise to ISIL, which has resulted in a whole new level of terror and killing. US veterans of combat in the Middle East have a horrific rate of suicide and precious little treatment available. And we live in fear and hate, with contempt for our own constitution and our rights as citizens. That's what comes from thinking there is something wrong with the world today without considering our own part. We are what's wrong when we respond to violence with vengeance, which has never deterred anybody. It only provokes more violence.
Humans are inherently good, and we live in far safer times today (in the West) than ever before in our history. We focus on terror, which kills a tiny, tiny fraction of people compared to the number who die from influenza. What's always been wrong with the world has been our own fear and hate.
Ok people it's time to do something about these monsters, it can not wait !

I remember going on facebook as this happened and seeing statuses from people all across the UK and offering to drive to Manchester to give people free lifts home. Even taxi drivers opted in and gave so many people rides home. Rest in peace to all of the victims 💔

OMG... with so many concert-goers evacuating in pure terror... It's damn sure a MIRACLE that on top of the 20+ killed, that there isn't another 100-200 dead from being TRAMPLED and stuck on bottom of stock piles of people DESPERATE to get out. I lost my antie who was next to the killer of these beautiful people..I still miss her to this day and have a minute silence everyday for those who where hurt and unfortunately dead. I think it’s a great thing that Ariana chose to pay for the funerals it was such a nice thing to do. I still remember standing at my aunties funeral hoping she’ll recover in heaven peacefully..

Some actually died of injuries later so it was the sound of maybe 18 or 19 people dying.
Absolutely horrendous, I'll never forget this night. Happened when I was at university sat with my housemates with the TV on and this comes on as breaking news, we were just shook to the core. Why is there so much hate in the world? Just shows nowhere is safe at all. Awful just awful, RIP to all those who died and thoughts with the families who were and still are affected.

I’d been to an Ed Sheehan concert in the London O2 a week before this attack happened and haven’t been to a concert since as I can’t get over how messed up this was

I remember when this happened I had a trip to chessington and had to do a 5min silence
I was only 6 and saw most horrific thing ever Me and my mother and my father and my sis were walking to the car in Wellington street because we went to the pub (mum n dad) and we are walking back and all we hear is a car driving pretty fast and then all a sudden we hear a thud we look to see what is going on and we see two men get out of a car with butcher knives walking towards a guy on the ground (the guy they hit) and then they start hacking at him it was most disturbing moment of my life still remember it and most things from when I was 6 I can’t remember but it just won’t go away so I know how it feels to be in that situation

I lived in Manchester at the time and my mum ran into my room and told me about it and told me to put the news on and the next day or two i wasn't in school for safety reasons
