Great video! Just bought me a Summit TX25 based largely on your videos. Got me a brush hog, tillage and the grapple. Can't wait to start my projects here in Texas...gonna tractor hard😂
Congratulations. Time to get to work!!!
I’ve yet to see a grapple with those blades on the back. That is an excellent design and a great idea of use. Nice video, Brad!
Thanks, Mike! 👍 It does a better job back dragging than I thought it would!
Thank you for keeping it real. It's good to learn from some one I trust.
We show it as it happens....life is messy sometimes! Thanks for watching!
Great suggestion Brad! Love it....
Thanks so much!
Looking really good, B&D!
Thanks Ed. One project at a time....., you know the deal!!
Great job! Thanks for the tip.
Thanks! We're getting a lot done with this combo.
Ive always rolled the grapple all the way over forward and used the top tines to back drag with on mine and works great since nothing slips out from under the tines or get hung up in the hoses/fittings or flip back into the front end of the tractor
This tractor has a self leveling loader and it's hard to turn the grapple like that.
@@PineyGroveHomestead well im glad mine doesnt have self level if i cant roll the bucket over, kind of like saying you cant dump gravel out the bucket while driving to spread it
I have a land pride grapple with those same rear tines, never thought about back dragging with them. Thought they just kept the grapple upright when unhooked lol.
I think I drive tractors more in reverse than forward! Thanks for watching!
I'm back. Been in the hospital. Now I have to catch up. I have missed watch your videos
Hope all is well!
They are also called a root rake. But, that is the bottom tines dug in up to that bar going across the rakes and pushing through the soil to get the roots out. Can't really use that on my property due to all the large rocks in the ground.😮
We don't have rocks, just little pebbles! Thanks for watching.
Beautiful land you got there, I was trying to see what kind of tree that was at your back lol. Almost looks like shag bark hickory lol
Thanks. Trees are probably cherry or persimmon.
If you are feeling crafty you could weld up a motorized soil sifter and really clean up that pile and make a clean batch of dirt for the garden.
No need to weld....recently got one but haven't shown it in a video yet. Soon!
Just a suggestion, because of where the hydraulic connections on the grapple are you should roll the grapple over and use the top of the grapple, like a rake , which is how they get their name, root/rake grapple.
Thanks for the tip. It's hard to do that with a self-leveling loader and a diverter third function. It makes sense though!!
If you do that be sure that you won't hook a root or rock. Your hydraulic cylinders are extended to their limit and are at their weakest in the event the grapple lid comes in contact with an immovable object.
That's a great idea, thank you sir.
Thanks for watching!
loe it nice demo ty
Thanks for watching!

My LandPride grapple has those same rear “teeth”. I’ve even used it to break up the crown on our gravel road by running backwards with the loader in float. Plus the teeth help act as a foot so the grapple can be parked vertically. Most grapples do not have those rear teeth.
Thanks for the info. Seems all grapple should have back teeth then!
Hey Brad! Great video. Thankful that you shared. Excellent idea using the grapple. Appreciate your creative expertise. Stay safe, healthy, strong, wise and successful. Blessings and prayers to you, Deb and family in Jesus's Mighty Name. ☝🙏🙌💪👊
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
Question on the hydraulics if the Summit..... They seem to be kind of jerky in video, Sort of all or nothing. Can you feather the movements? My brother is considering a Summit but we don't know anyone that owns one. I've used a Mahindra and found the hydraulics a bit quick and jerky, unlike my JD 2720 ( very smooth). Price is right for that 25 horse, just want to make sure of what he's getting into as he's never owned a tractor. Thanks and I enjoy your videos !
I think that's because with the grapple you use the diverter valve and you have to push the button and push the loader lever at the same time I don't like a diverter valve but that's the cheapest way to get a third function. When you're using the bucket or pallet forks, it's much smoother. Also it's a self leveling loader so it moves a little different than a regular loader. And it has an orifice valve on the loader boom so you can adjust how fast the boom goes up and down. Our Summit Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLG5yS75HLzo1hT372soffAIIzQsiJSNDh.html
My grapple from Everything Attachments is similar to yours, but they call it a root rake grapple for using just as you are.
Awesome. Thanks for the info!!
Why is she not on the new mower ??
We didn't have it yet when this video was made!
